In a few minutes, lots of bike men gathered and I was almost rough handled. They mandated me to take the ‘injured’ bike man to the hospital for treatment and I would also bear the cost of repairs of the bike. Meanwhile, on a closer look, there was a minor scratch on the door of my car and there was no damage on the motorbike at all. The year that was to end in a few hours now started to look like it would end in a decade.
I had to put on my thinking cap really fast and prayed to God for the wisdom to handle the situation. It seemed to me at that very moment that the bike man was trying to play a fast one as I suspected there was nothing wrong with him. I also discovered that my female passenger that caused the issue in the first place had left.
An idea came to me and I acted on it at once. I ran forward and shouted … “trailer is coming”. Immediately, the bike man that feigned injury got up and ran to the side of the road with some other bike men that had gathered.
It was then I changed it for them saying the guy was trying to extort me as absolutely nothing happened to him. When they realized the game was over, they took their bikes and left one after the other.
I thank God for the wisdom in handling this situation. Na so person for go enter last minute gbese for last year.
I had planned to attend the cross-over service in my church but opted to participate online instead.
Here’s wishing my numerous readers and fans a happy and prosperous new year.
*Oko Ashawo you go marry this year or continue with the spontaneous gbenshing?lol
Oko Ashawo, thank God for your life say you escape that situation. The way these bike men gather in droves in a few minutes makes me wonder. They are so united and they show solidarity when something happens to them.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and make sure you stop gbenshing around. Go and marry 🤪

Happy new year oko ashawo..
Reminds me of an Incident that happened in Oyingbo on our way to work.
ReplyDeleteMy friend hit a man mistakenly and the guy refused to stand up, feigning injury and oain until he was given #1000 .immediately he stood up and crossed to the other side of the road like nothing happened.
That was when it dawned on us that it is their modus operandi.
They knowing stand in the middle of the road, get hit and fake it till you drop money.
Stewpid people!!
Some will fall with their fake take away plate and claim you you have wasted their food when you hit them...
DeleteYou have to give the amount of money they want...
Oh thank God.
ReplyDeleteIn some scenarios the bikeman will flip, somersault into second lane with serious bruises while your door's completely yanked off and lying on the major road causing another accident.
Please always insist the passenger checks before flinging open the door.
Happy new year.
Lol.
