    1. I dated my husband for less than 2 years and he proposed.
In fact, the first day we met, as per date, he was already talking about marriage. I felt it was weird and he was too forward but I guess he knew what he wanted.

Some men will keep you for donkey years , cheat frequently and still break up with you after several abortions. But some Women are now getting smarter.

I personally get bored easily so I don’t think I would have stayed in a 5year relationship. The one I had before I met my hubby was long distance and had no focus. I literally broke up with the guy in my head and healed before eventually telling him my decision. Lol. Ed sorry o but you’re married now, so thank God.

My hubby and I like to do things spontaneously to keep the romance alive , otherwise, na marriage boredom sure pass. 😟 Thank God for wisdom, if not, we’re bro and sis.

  10. Nah at my age and stage, 5 years is too long to linger in a relationship.

  11. 5 years.

I broke it off because I couldn’t see myself marrying him or being with him forever.

Years later, he’s realised it was the best decision. We’re married to different people but still best of friends.

We were best friends, but now I’m his wife’s best friend and he’s my husband’s best friend. Haha

Both him and my current husband are oyibo sha. I don’t think a lot of Nigerian men would be this matured. Although, my bother’s ex girlfriend’s husband is my brother’s best friend now. They met though his ex girlfriend.

I really don’t think there’s anything wrong in being friends with an ex, especially if there’s no bad blood or feelings still remaining.

    1. I'm still friends with my oyibo exes, but no longer friends with my Naija exes haha. I guess cos the oyibo guys were more honest and the break up was transparent. But the Naija guys were deceitful and breakup was full of lies.

  22. My wife and I dated for 5 years before we got married. She was still in school and her family wanted her to finish before anything that’s why it was that long. That has been the longest for me.personally,I don’t think people should date for too long cos it doesn’t take 5 years to get to know anybody.

  23. He proposed to me in October 1994. He left the country in 1995. Our plan was to wed in 1996 and have our first child abroad in 1997. His family worked against our plans and I could not join him. He kept me in limbo for nine years until he returned in 2004. We got married March 26th same year and have since been together.

I look back and wish I had my first son in 1997.

  25. Funny enough i can't even say any for sure. I was always on d run, i meet guys, I like them, they ask me out, I accept, then I think of heartbreak, STIs then I blank out! The next thing we are just friends. At a time I have a lot of male friends who were just hanging there, hoping I was going to grow up. and my friends then and sisters will swear I won't get a husband because I couldn't date properly. I was like a basket that can't hold water, guided my heart and kpekus very jealously. E shock them when I married before them all. My husband met me, I told him d nature of dating I am used to, he agreed, and pop d question after 9days. He is my husband today. 😃 ☺ 😊 💕 😍
