ReplyDeleteBandits are clearly into the crime of abducting because of the monetary gains, while terrorists care less about ransoms. They kill to prove a point and pursue their warped course.

DeleteOur politicians are lying to us...There are no bandits,what you see happening is a re-strategy. Boko Haram tactics. Boko Haram have changed their style of war fare and have infiltrated into the Nigerian middle belts and masquerading as bandits. It will shock us all by the time the whole truth comes out. Ask yourself thi: What kind of bandits carry RPG weaponry? And other sophisticated weapons? They are collecting ransoms to buy weapons,etc....

ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of racism in Nigeria if not why is it that most people from the North are treated specially and defended while the people from South west doesn't count. I kid you not expect food scarcity because most farmers can't go to their farm in the south west because of dangerous herders and every Government officials are just playing lips service. Defending the offender and saying we should not call them names that because their live hoods are being destroyed that's why they carry weapons, but what of if the farmers in the west whose live hood is been destroyed as well now decide to devise ways to get weapons and try to defend itself will there not be anarchy in the land. Our problem are just simple but because our leaders are racist and selfish they have refused to find lasting solution. Trouble is loading is all I can see.
ReplyDeleteTechnically and by definition the are not the same, going by history their way of operation also differs. Terrorists are guided by an ideology, mostly a warped version of the religion, their aim, to cause havoc and conquer a territory, like the Boko haram are asking for a caliphate. Bandits are glorified Armed robbers that are not guided by any ideology, their own is to steal and plunder. So in essence, you can negotiate with a bandit, but not a terrorist.

ReplyDeleteEven international organizations such as, Amnesty International agree the Fulani terrorists are one of the most deadly in the world; so who are the Northern governors and the powers behind the scenes trying to fool?
