Awww may her soul rest in peace. I remember her in blackberry girls
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful and emotional to me.Keep resting beautiful.I pray our biggest cheerleaders are with us during our wins and achievements. Her hashtag though.Boko Haram should be a thing of the past, but they are still causing harm to innocent lives.
DeleteI'm crying already and see myself sending this to my little sister. My life has never been thesame. I cry on the streets, I cry on my bed. I just wish you could come spend a minute with us.
DeleteMaryπππ
DeleteAwwwn. So sweet. Mary is one beautiful woman
ReplyDeletejust love remi no scandla no sleeping around , worked her way to the top, not forming bitter feminsit like dem Genevieve and co i love her
DeleteLmao @bitter feminists. They are usually single and miserable
DeleteHow is Genevieve a bitter feminist? You can pass your message without pulling the other down. Let love lead.
DeleteQueen Roaster, what did Genevieve do to you? How is she forming bitter feminist? So you think if she was favoured with a good man to marry like Mary, she would have refused. Please, stop mocking people with gifts that come from God. Its not nice at all. RIP to her sister.
DeleteAwwa Congratulations Mary, one of the few hardworking ladies I admire. May your sister rest on.
ReplyDeleteI remember UK sha. She was my friends roommate in 'Flats' UNN. Very soft spoken churchy girl like that.
ReplyDeleteHer death came as a rude shock to us. May she continue to RIP.
so you be UNN babe? good to know sha, same here
DeleteEka so you be lioness
DeleteThis tribute is so emotional and touching.
ReplyDeleteSo many successful people had humble and not so palatable beginnings.
This is heart breaking, she was my friend and Dept mate back then in UNN 2 classes ahead of me, was also my fellowship Sister. very nice to the core. babe went for NYSC and was shot in the Church by BOKOHARAM. may your soul continue to rest dear friend.
ReplyDeleteHey. UK was in TAWG UNN
DeleteWas close friends with Zimu and Gabby
Did you go to TAWG?
Which year did you finish.
Oh dear.
DeleteThis is so painful.
May she continue to rest in peace Amen.

DeleteShot by Boko Haram in church?? Dear Lord!!!
DeleteTAWG UNN 2007 Reporting the word works!
DeleteRest in Peace Marys sister
Awwwπ₯
ReplyDeleteSo she named her Ada after her twin? Boko haram claimed the life of her twin? Really sad. Yes Queen, you made it! She's so proud of you all the way from heaven. I've always loved her and her handsome husband and she's never wrong in my own eyes too. I can only imagine the pains she went through. May her soul continue to rest in peace.ππ
Not her twin but her younger sister, she used twin to describe how very close they were.
DeleteChisom she wasn't her twin, she was her younger sis but cause they were so close, she called her her twin.
DeleteOk my darlings, daluu nu. π
DeleteHmmmmm, so sorry Mary, it is well dear.π
ReplyDeleteHow sad. May she continue to rest in peace
ReplyDeleteHmmm smells like pride if you ask me. Rip to the sister
ReplyDeleteAnon 11:37, you need honey and Jesus to remove jealousy and bitterness from your life!
DeleteDid her achievements make you feel so small and underachieved?
It's on you, don't project it on her!
πππ
DeleteMay God heal you from your bitterness.
DeleteI also think she came across as a little boastful but she probably didn't mean to. Better to focus on the message she is passing across. RIP to her dearest Sis, I hope the insecurity in Nigeria gets better.
DeleteYes she is proud...Babe is damn proud of her achievements. Let her blow her trumpet in peace.. It's not easy. Rest well Kaego
DeleteEeya so emotional. The lives these boko nonsense has claimed ba,only God can can give them the punishment they deserve.
ReplyDeleteI love Mary Njoku, she seems to be a nice lady.see the way she's helping chinonso Arubayi to build her acting career, she's almost in all ROK films and she's doing pretty good.
Rip girl.madam Mary be calming down, you are beginning to sound somehow
ReplyDeleteAnon 11:29, you processed it "somehow" so the onus is on you, not her! Rubbish
DeleteHow she sounds not your biz,she musnt sound like u
DeleteMay her soul rest in peace anon 11:49 abeg make una leave Mary let her brag small do you think it is easy for one to achieve her dreams at a young age in Nigeria with all the problems an average Nigeria face abeg I admire her a lot Mary please ride on I am one of your biggest fan
ReplyDeleteBia anons up there reading with jealous and bitter minds, please take several seats back!
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong in all she wrote? Was it not achieved by her?
Haba mana!! Rejoice with her and give her a thumps up! It ain't easy.
She started from a humble beginning, listed her struggles and achievements.
Please learn to read someone else's achievement with a happy heart and don't ever compare yourself with the person.
That's how jealousy and envy creeps in.
I'm outa here.
This brought tears to my eyesπ₯
ReplyDeleteI didn't know she is the founder of the TV Station, I thought the husband is the owner.
ReplyDeleteCongrats babe, just like her simplicity.
All I know is, she looks so beautiful in that white ensemble. Never seen her look so well put together.
ReplyDeleteRIP to her sister
I think that is her late sister
DeleteThis is so touching. I love siblings bonding. May her sister continue to rest in peace...
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong with being proud about your accomplishments, most especially on the ground in which she is expressing this. Pride sometimes is not necessarily a bad thing. No need for false humility all the time, brag a little if you want. Rejoice and revel that you came out triumphant despite having walked through the fire
ReplyDeleteyou sparkled and shone even brighter rather than go up in smoke. People would whine about their pain and we try to make them feel better but when they talk about their accomplishments we look for ways to silence them. I prefer good news like this if you ask me and I pray for more like this. Yes! She is proud about her success but she is also proud about her scars, the journey, the memories and all that brought her this far and she wears it all proudly like a medal. She talked about her low points too and the down moments she shared with her lovely sister but people would only see what they want to at the end of the day like she just woke up and decided to flaunt. I just do not know why It ruffles people feathers when others are proud of themselves and how far they have come. It would have been a different thing if she was fawning over her success in a bid to downplay others struggles and she was busy making a comparison making others feel bad about themselves like they aren't trying enough but here she is only focused on what is important, her sister, their goal and dreams coming into fruition, sadly the sister isn't present to witness it but she did it! She did it for her sister and who knows her sister's death and the fact that she so much believed in her even more than she believed in herself might have been the driving force that propelled this beautiful lady to work harder and never give up even when she had reached her limits and just wanted to throw in the towel. This should inspire someone out there that no dream is too big to achieve no matter what ball life throws at you and not to upset anyone. Envy is not a good look! This piece is so emotional and I almost shed a tear. People see the glory but have no idea about the pain.
Congratulations Mary, your sister would have been so proud of you.
Just agree that her write somehow reeks of pride instead of beating around the bush.
DeleteYes.. There are just some accomplishments that fill you with so much pride, you just want to shout it to the world, especially when you remember where you are coming from. There's nothing wrong with Mary's write up. All I see is a success story, just so sad her sister did not live to celebrate with her.
Deleteme too I go make am in Jesus name Amen
ReplyDeleteThis made me cry..
ReplyDeleteOne day we will tell our Success story with Pride...Amen
Amen Chelsy, we sure will
DeleteAmen.
DeleteBut her husband is the owner of the tv stations
ReplyDeleteEnh they are partners I guess. Maybe the husband provided the funds and Mary did the legwork.
DeleteJust like funke akindele husband can claim ownership of her Scene one productions as well. Only that funke provided both the money and legwork.
It is well.
May she continue to RIP
ReplyDeleteSuper proud of you Mary. Have been an ardent fan from your days as 'Waka pass' like you put it. You do no wrong in my eyes. However, we need more versions of African couple.Plsss
ReplyDeleteAnybody who watches ROK, must know how hard working this lady is. She produces, directs and acts in atleast 50 percent of the movies aired on ROK. So pls anons calling her prideful, should let her blow her trumpet. She knows her past and how far she has come. Kudos Mary.
ReplyDeleteDont mind ndi UNDER ACHIEVERS
DeleteAnon 18:04, she is executive producer not director not producer. She may have produced some movies but she is mostly the executive producer.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan, super proud of her courage. Not many are courageous enough to pursue their dreams.
Thumb up lady. Higher you!
ReplyDeleteSomeone up there drank bitter leaf juice. Ndo o
ReplyDeleteShe was my school mate in UNN, she died in a bomb blast in yobe, such a cheerful lady and God fearing, keep Resting U.K Remmy.
