Judge Orders Paternity Test For Actress Ronke Odusanya’s Daughter After Estranged Lover Jago Says He Suspects Infidelity

A Magistrates Court in Lagos State has ordered that a DNA paternity test be conducted on the daughter of Yoruba movie star, Ronke Odusanya.

The curvy actress and the father of her child, Olanrewaju Saheed, popularly known as Jago, are estranged and currently in court for several reasons including the welfare of their daughter, Oluwafifehanmi whom they welcomed in 2019.

When the matter came up in court on Wednesday, Saheed, through his lawyer, requested the court to order a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of the child, on the grounds of suspicion of infidelity.

The actress and her lawyer agreed to the request on the condition that the DNA fees and other bills be footed by Saheed.

The actress’ lawyer also pleaded with the court to ensure it is a court-supervised DNA test.

M. O. Tanimola, the magistrate, gave the order on Wednesday when the case was brought before her at Court 8, Samuel Ilori Court House, Ogba, Ikeja magisterial district, Lagos. She decided on an undisclosed hospital on Lagos Island for the test to be done, and for the results to be sent directly to the court.

She adjourned the case till March 31, for further hearing.

    3. Its the typical way Nigerian men like to shame their Ex"s with infidelity talk n paternity talk.
However in any court of Law,atleast in Developed countries if you want to sue for child support especially when not married just like Ronkes case,d court orders for a DNA test, atleast to ascertain they are not taking from an innocents mans pay check.
In otber countries its seen as nothn,u cant sue for childsupport without DNA test.
Ronke dat has been lookn for child for yrs and was happy dis one finally got her pregnant. Hes just yarning dust.
Lets wait for d result anyway, shebi she agreed.

    2. XP don't mistake big breast and a$$ and lashes for self esteem. No be we dey look when Osas marry Gbhenro. Oil and water!! Or was it not Dami and Chris. That one was engine oil and water.
I thank God I am still single. Else, I may have been married to one of such people by now. But God kept leading me away. Now my self esteem has been built to a point that I feel sorry for my old self. I pity women who are still in that space E.g Ronke. You will keep making the same mistakes in relationships if you don't deal with the issues beneath the glam. God help us oh!

Siblings also share the same DNA, all from their dads. So if the brother indeed did any work, there’s no way that’d be identified.

    3. They can actually tell the difference with siblings and family members, e.g. brothers, fathers, sons, cousins they can tell the difference. Cases where they can't tell the difference is with identical twins who share the same DNA, every other family member they can tell the difference through DNA markers.

    4. Siblings share about 50% of the same DNA on average

    5. Just identical twins share 100%

  11. Why are you complaining? He has his reaosns for requesting for DNA, at least he will he sure the daughter is his, then he can go and pay whatever fees.

  12. Except one has a vision impairment, this baby is the man's. Please check bone structure (jawline, forehead), the setting of the eyes also.

My guy, go pay your child support!

  13. Let's wait for the DNA test result. The lady is not afraid and she's very sure that he's the father of her child hence the insistence on a court supervised test

  15. This beautiful girl is a splitting image of the man. One wonders why he wants a paternity test!

If the DNA result proves the man right, I dare say there is fire on the mountain. Many people will be forced to tow the DNA path.

  16. That was how my ex just to spite me denied he was responsible for my second pregnancy. As in he bluntly told the court he wasn't the owner of the pregnancy. After I gave birth and he learnt it was a boy the fool came to claim son he denied. What men would do to spite the image of women is only God can save. My ex is now going about telling pple and court that I denied him access to his son after all he had put me through. I have told him until we do paternity test will he have access cos I don't want tomorrow now he will still change his mind about been his dad. It quiet a pity my son had to go through all this.

  18. The child looks more like the father than ronke . If its possible ni, ronke is the one that should be asking for a dna sef to be sure say na her egg fertilize to this baby. The baby looks more like her father and doesn't look like ronke for now. But she may later change thougj.

  19. Gone are the days of spitting image!!

I used to watch a lot of Paternity Court (Judge Lake) episodes on their YouTube page, during lock-down. One episode evoked so much emotion from me, because I could have sworn with my last Cedi that he was the dad. Everything about the girl looked like the man! Only for the results to be read...and he WAS NOT!

I was sitting on my bed and literally, fell back! I went on to read the comment section and we all had the same reaction of disbelieve!

If not for the woman crying and confessing to cheating, after the results were read, I would have thought they mistakenly swapped the DNA samples!!

Some women have a physical "spec", so their men resemble each other. If she was faithful, she has nothing to worry about!

  20. I think all this actresses just settle for anyone after they clock a certain age, maybe just so they could have a child. If not, what is Ronke doing with this tout called Jago. See name sef, like Jago milk. Any up and coming actress reading this, please whenever you find fame, settle down as soon as you find the right person. Don't letnyour fame distract you and miss your right man, so you don't just settle for any yeye man.

    1. Exactly anonymous ,it’s such a pity that Ronke had to go through this,I read in one of her interviews that people warned her not to date this man,but she couldn’t help it because she was single, needed a child and she didn’t want to be a second or third wife.very pathetic.

  21. A friend of mine who is an A list actress told me that most of this other A list actresses all had eligible suitors that they propbably would have married if not for fame. Now they are all in their 40's and wishing they could turn back the hands of time.

    Oh my Ronke!
I want to be confident that the baby is Jago's

  23. From Ronke's response, she's too sure that he is the father. Only women that have something to hide will say they don't want DNA. She agreed to the DNA but with the condition that he pays and the court supervises it. Stella, although he wants to use it to shame her, I think the DNA is even more to her advantage. She knows he's the father but wants to insinuate she's loose, when all the doubts are cleared up, he will have to start paying child support.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hmmm
I don't want any kind of wahala or drama for this babe at all at all.

    1. Same here, very unproblematic lady!

Though personally, I don't see anything wrong in asking for DNA, since he 'claims' to be in doubt!

  25. Every man has the right to request and pay for DNA test as long as it is done at an independent lab unconnected to both parties. Let him request and pay for it and the judge pick the lab. I don't think this is an attack on her virtue, as we all know how men love to lie on women, so he coming out bout he suspects infidelity is meaningless.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Stella, it's not by resemblance oh.. There's something called Doctrine of proximity, which states that a child might look like someone around and close.. it happens.. I came across it while researching this DNA ish some years back

    ReplyDelete
  27. Its just a pity that Ronke is going through this mess, I know she will come out stronger, she's one last I love and admire alot

    ReplyDelete
  28. Let me just point out that looks have little to do with paternity. Watch paternity court on YouTube and you'll find many cases where you could have sworn that there was a parent-child relationship because of the uncanny resemblance between two people, but the tests results show otherwise.
