According to reports, EFCC operatives stormed the Estate on Thursday morning to arrest some suspected fraudsters.
The operatives went from one apartment to the other, knocking, and if denied access, they would break into the apartment.
Upon hearing that EFCC officials were around the Estate to arrest suspects, the deceased allegedly became apprehensive and jumped from the 7th floor and reportedly died.
The Police confirmed the suicide and Muyiwa Adejobi, Police Public Relations Officer, gave an update in a statement.
The spokesman described the incident as unfortunate.
“Based on preliminary findings, the deceased was not even a target of the operatives. He was a guest at the estate.
We will try and trace his identity so as to relay the incident to the family and take necessary police action”.
Ayayayaya!! This is so bad..May his soul rest in peace...EFCC and other paramilitary bodies need to do better..Why stomp at people's doors like that how about having all those information which should be readily available before this operation..
ReplyDeleteThat's how this security will be stomping people's houses without warrant
DeleteI feel for the guy though, May his soul rest in peace
Which one is suicide again?
ReplyDeleteNa guilty conscience make this man run when nobody dey pursue am oorrrrrr fear of being tagged what he isn't pushed him. May his soul RIP
ReplyDeleteSeems you’re not living in Nigeria, don’t be surprised they might arrested people on ground if their target wasn’t found. Hence the man panic to jump being arrested. So sad nothing is working in this our Nigeria
DeleteYou haven't (obviously) heard of the parable of the Antelope and Elephant. So I will gladly recount. The Antelope was frantically running and was stopped by the Elephant.
DeleteElephant: Antelope why are you running so?
Antelope: Goats are being arrested
Elephant: But you are obviously not a goat?
Antelope: Well it would take you 25 years to prove that in a Nigerian court.
The elephant quickly joined in the race. As the Yorubas would say: Koju maa ribi, gbogbo ara loogun e.
Lol. Exactly what made him run. In Nigeria they arrest innocent people and beat them into confessing crimes they didn't commit.
DeleteEFCC wet guys they sort
ReplyDeleteHe just wasted his life, may his RIP 💔
This is so sad!
ReplyDeleteHis hands are most likely not clean for him to have been that apprehensive.
ReplyDeleteMay his soul find rest.
So sad..do something legal, they will tell you it doesn't pay well without considering their peace of mind.
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't even chased or a target. He just killed himself for nothing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he had something to hide or he just didn't want police wahala, due to the way they operate and band people without proper investigations
So why did he have to jump if he was not their target?
ReplyDeleteBecause they could catch him and force him to become their target since they are looking for bribes.
DeleteSo dad.
ReplyDeleteMay his gentle soul rest in peace.
Guess he had something to hide
ReplyDeleteWhy not just get arrested instead of killing yourself.
ReplyDeleteThe saddest part of the story was that he wasn't even the one they came for,
ReplyDeleteToo much fear no good, people need to learn how to get mind for this country
ReplyDeleteSome witnesses say he was pushed. 7th floor is 13 stories high at 1004, nobody would jump from that height to escape
