TV Host Nancy Isime Says She Suffered Depression At A Young Age

TV host Nancy Isime made this revelation in an interview with BBC Pidgin

According to her

"I lost my mum when I was five years old, I have said it before that my childhood wasn't nice, I suffered from depression, that was when I attempted my first suicide. That was the first time and only attempt. I was able to go through all that phases and I'm still here today. Some people got time to grow through life but I grew up quickly (mature) because losing my mum at five exposed me to things that I wasn't supposed to see.

My name is Nancy Isime, I'm from Edo State, Esan central, precisely irrua. I started working at the age of 17, I worked as an usher in events then I entered modelling, I didn't even expect that the things I did at that time would take me here. I kept on saving so I can leave Nigerian to start work there.

As bad as Nigeria, there are still opportunities out there.

Q,. What inspired your hair cut

I felt heat in my scalp so I just had to cut it short. When I was little my dad used to Barb my hair and I didn't like it.. I thought it wouldn't fit me, that means my dad had eyes then.

In our industry when you see girls drive nice cars you just totally write the babe off. I always preach about mental health I'm a strong believer in medication. I go for therapy sessions. I have apps in my phone that helps balance my mood, because I have so many careers. I'm an actor, TV host so it takes a lot out of me

Your mind is everything when you get it right, you will get your life right"

  1. Well done babe, I feel you.

I lost my dad when I was 13 in JSS3, it wasn't easy but thank God we made it and thank God for my wonderful family. Those with both parents alive don't know how lucky they are.
