  2. Why not mind your business Yvonne. Their fans are enjoying it that way,the market is big enough for both the best and the otherwise movies just bring out your own too

  3. Producing nonsense in the name of movies.
In advanced countries, it takes some years to produce just one movie ,and believe me it worth it.
I yawn many times If i try to seat and watch some Home movies.
Almost all of them are now script writers and producers.

    1. As in ehhn Nigerians hate truth every quarter baked actor is now a producer. The one I’ll never watch even if they strap me to a bomb is alakada. I’m thinking they use juju to sell their movies to Netflix sef cos I don’t get it.

  8. The shade is for Toyin Abraham who'll feature all the big names in the entertainment industry for her low budget film. Almost half of the Nigerian actors are currently on set for her film.

  9. So true. I shame for Netflix for putting it on its platform. The whole world seeing how stupid some naija producers are. Toyin, please go back to the drawing board. Please don't come out with alakada 3. I was so happy when Netflix put it out cuz I thought was a huge improvement from the mediocre part 1. Infact, I shame for you

  11. This is not about hate but about the truth,Toyin should be told the truth.
Fate of Alakada cannot blow like jenifa because it doesn't have content.
Stella advice her to get a good script writer.

  12. Nollywood should stop producing the thing they call movies if they ain't ready to improve.i cant even find myself sitting to watch for few seconds.. whatever happened to the old nollywood When one could sit for hours and still get reasonable lesson from movies.

  13. Yvonne shut up and stop being a hypocrite.shey na because toyin no call you???? Did you not also contribute to the nonsense movies being produced, wey that your movie wey you carry go cinema sef...all of una na the same

  14. Ok. So many people talking about fate of alakada. I don’t think it was too bad. Infact I enjoyed watching it. It may be because I am Yoruba and I understood all the jokes that were thrown. Some of the jokes were subtle jokes that if you’re not a Yoruba person that knows all the Fuji Yoruba songs, you may not understand. Also, I started watching Toyin a long long time ago - when it was “razz” to be in Yoruba movies and English Nollywood movies would not even cast Yoruba actors. think I am really impressed and happy for our Yoruba actors and how far they’ve grown.
Take in all the criticisms and improve .

    2. Anon 14:53 you summarized it all very well it is really "Yoruba standard" We are talking about movies that can be produced and will meet world standard just like Burna Boy has done with music so you get? Tribalism will always becloud some people's judgment always.

  15. Omo i can sit through most Nigerian movies. I love Toyin in movies but all the Alakada series are awful because it seems like it doesn't have a plot. No need to insult people for saying their opinion.this is not a military regime and the last time i checked no commenter here is a military dictator that can use gun to force me to change my mind

    1. Some people confuse truth with liking someone and tribe Alakada is funny but at the same time annoying and below par that is not to say we don't appreciate their efforts. They can do better.

  16. Thank you. Some folks forget that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, not one opinion.

  17. I haven't watched alakada so i can't say for sure how bad it is. Least i forget, wd don't to condemn all our products just because of a few off moments, not all American movies are blockbusters as well, infact you'd be surprised at the movies that flop. I watched 'OLOTURE' and honestly if i could give the movie an oscar i would. Sooooooo sooooooo good. Americans hype their exceptional movies that's why you hear of them. Let's also try to applaud the exceptional ones, no be everytime 'bad belle news or throwing shades'

    1. Ok i didn't condemn all nigerian movies. I only dislike Alakada and i can't applaud rubbish. If we applaud mediocrity, the rest of the world would think that's the best we can do and define us by it
