    2. Permission kwa? When he's an expert in only microwaving. Oriegwu.

He picks the fried meat bucket, selects and adds some sausages or chicken nuggets then vaaam into oven.
When he's done he'll pour chilled zobo and top up with ice cubes. Our kids will join him to flanjor.

That his statement "ifve erike, nke onye lili ka obu ana" makes me laugh harrrddd.

      No be only permission.

Suddenly, nobody manages life again here

See one down there telling someone with full chest to buy freezer like it's 5k. Shaming others for nothing and playing ignorant.

This same space people cry of hunger sometimes.

      It is well o.

Oh internet, the beautiful 21st century invention where we all live our fantasy under anonymous 😂😂😂.

    1. So your mind is already formatted against a husband that won't provide bah?

    2. So your husband will ask you like a 6 year old if he can have meat just because you made the food with your money... What of when it's with his funds, will you sell permission?

    1. Bitter truth, why on earth should my hubby take permission? He is allowed to empty the pot of soup if he wants to 😁

    2. Mrs A what do you mean?
I used to count meat o not in the pot because my housekeeper is a sister Xmas in the neighborhood though she finally changed. The bulk for storage I count wella.

      How?
I dice a carton of frozen chicken and a carton of turkey.
Steam till froth is real brown and tasty. Then I fry with spices and red onions.
Share in ziplock bags according to usage and put the broth and oil in the freezer for further use.
When we all leave in the morning, she nukes any quantity, make correct egg sauce and balance to devor fried plantain or whatever, then her funny friends will come over to join fun and still leave with soup that has raid blocks. Imagine that?
When I'm trying to fix dinner on a tight hectic day, I discover the zip locks are scanty, haaaaa. How do I boil or fry meat at that time, the aim is defeated then.

Nne I set camera reach kitchen o. Who wants to be training a buusu in her home?

  7. Lol. Why would my man be opening our pot in the first place especially when i'm around? All he needs do is tell me he needs more meat and i'd get him some more. This question dikwa egwuu!

    1. If the relationship between you both is friendship and not boss and subordinate, such boundaries won't exist. He will only mention he is going to the kitchen and ask if you want him to bring some for you too.
Later we women will be shouting "the girl-child does not belong to the kitchen" "wife not cook", here we are still still expecting our husband to tell us b4 he goes to the kitchen/pot.

    2. Saphire thank you.

This year I've not prepared a meal for my husband up to 5times.

All I do is prepare the soup and stew and he sorts himself out most times.

    3. Beautiful point but note that i wrote "my man". We will be each other's best friends, and why will there be boundaries between us? You see anything that has to do with our beautiful kitchen? lol, he has no business there ma'am, i'd cook our yummy faves and serve us or serve him to satisfaction. Just like there'd be other things around the house he'd be doing that i wouldn't be involving myself, and this wouldn't mean that we aren't intimate or soul mates.

That a girl child does not belong in the kitchen does not in any way mean that she wouldn't cook the food her man/family will eat or even tidy up her kitchen? A girl child shouldn't be limited to belonging in the kitchen only. While we manage banks, control businesses, win cases in the law courts, fly plains, tidy up our company's environs as professionals, we can also cook some healthy delicacies for our husbands and children. I will be a wife and also cook for my husband, that one shouldn't even be a thing. It's his kitchen, likewise mine, it's our both kitchen but of course, i cook and dish out the food for him. No biggie. Aside entering the kitchen, there are other things he could be doing in the house to help. And if a girl child doesn't like entering the kitchen and luckily marries a man that doesn't mind entering the kitchen to cook, and they're both comfortable running the family that way, kudos to her.

    4. CHISOM make sure you marry a man you can play with.
My hubby sets meat and moimoi in the oven without any permission.
He'll be whistling while waiting, he be like "when Adam first went out to snuff, tissue was not invented ...." Haha.

Hope you know the meaning of that song relative to the scenerio.

  9. I see no reason why he should ask. Whether he provided the funds for it or not. The only time I feel like the wife might say something is if the meat is limited, and she already planned the way it’ll be eaten. Still, it’s not a big deal.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I do not think that is necessary. He could just casually say 'Babe, I took meat from the pot o' so that the woman doesn't put the blame on someone else.
I don't see this as a big deal.

    1. Like...You count the meat and know when any is missing bah?

      Delete
    2. I do not. However, I have stayed with an aunt who did and always blamed her help for 'missing' pieces of meat. It was later discovered it was her daughter taking them . So, I know some women that do

      Delete
    3. Lol... How do you even know when meat is missing.

  11. It's not permission per se, it's just information so that she can reheat the food if need be. Mine always tells me what he wants Sha and I'll serve him.
I really can't imagine a full pot of soup turning sour because of meat taking o, I fit vex.

    1. Nne, buy bowls and pack your soup in different small containers then store in a refrigerator/freezer. Which one is reheating and full pot of soup going bad?!

  14. Hian! What kind of question is this? Me my own is no matter how big a pot of soup or stew i make, the soup always finishes before the meat as in there will be excess meat left and it annoys me because i feel like wasted the meat. But my husband will happily devour everything.

I'm tayad of him on this

  19. My husband hardly goes to kitchen but if he wants i don't see any reason why he shouldn't.

  20. Well, I'm the only one that handles the kitchen. Even when he cooks, I'll still dish the food myself except I ask him to. Its our own rule in the house. So...

    ReplyDelete
  21. The kitchen is for all of us and there is know restrictions on what so ever that's in that pot

    ReplyDelete
  22. NO!!!
Permission ke?If you are waiting for that from hubby,na to wait forever! It would even sound ridiculous. "Excuse me ma,can I take meat from the pot"?When it's not jazz!
Whenever I see him,he'll say he just wants to know if it's not too salty/of the seasoning is okay..and starts smiling. Any other thing (aside meat, fish and the likes)he'll say he's just checking if it has not expired.
The one I'm eating sef,he'll take from it and say he's helping me.
I call him "sweet tooth "sef *laughs*

  23. No need for permission, we both own the kitchen.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Funny question... Why should he ask. My husband goes to the pot whenever he wishes and remembers to warm afterwards. Just tell him never to use his fingers and leave some for others. Life no dey that serious abeg

    ReplyDelete
  25. 😊 for what kwanu? He takes it and comes smiling in front of me. I either ask him to bring for me too if I want more or go there myself.

    Life isn't hard, please.
