There is a meme after the cut explaining this properly...

  1. I am a heavy bleeder during my menses, name it, I've used it from pads, tampons, cups etc but last month for the first time I used baby diapers, I wept. So I've been embarrassing myself staining everywhere, when I could have used a diaper. One daiper lasted the whole night, I really enjoyed my sleep, who would have thunk it? I have been missing all along. And it's far cheaper like three times cheaper. I can't thank daipers enough.

    1. I woke up one night to see blood stains on my pant. There was no sanitary pad, what do I do? I opened my baby's drawer and took one diaper, tore off the wings and laid it carefully on my pant and went back to sleep. The next morning, I didn't bother buying sanitary whatever until my daughter stopped wearing diapers last year.

      Diapers for new born babies...

No sanitary pad in Nigeria holds menstruation anymore...
      Longrich pad is a scam!..
In fact all their products are rubbish..I can only manage their tooth paste sha...
Their roll on smells like fart!..
      Ewwwww
People should stop wasting their money on that trash..

    4. Adult diapers are available too.

    5. Beebumble use size 5 and a very tight pant to hold it in place and enjoy yourself.
Diaper was my saving grace during my fibroid days. Faithful God

    6. Hi Omeh. Did you remove the fibroids? Whats the difference now if you don’t mind me asking? Recently got diagnosed and i dont have any kids yet... was hoping I could have a child or two before having them removed.

  2. I have heard someone say she uses diapers instead of sanitary pads and that she is not afraid of her cloth getting stained and she is also very comfortable with it.

  3. I'm using sanitary towels. My friends says that baby diapers are better. I can't sleep well at night without changing. I will feel stinky. I have one question is all the ladies in Nigeria having heavy flow. Why is majority using diapers. I hv fibroid and am having heavy flow. I'm suspecting that 98 percent of African women is having fibroid without knowing it. Sanitary towel is okay for a woman with normal flow. Those of you using baby diapers should go and check their body

    1. Your suspicion is heavily flawed sha...some just have heavy periods.

    2. 98% kwa 😂😂😂😂. The way you people throw figures around ehn.

      Delete
    3. Nope! Not about heavy flows.

The pads these days aren't it at all.

My flow is normal and I've been using sanitary pad(always pad) but of recent times I've noticed it doesn't take me beyond an hour before it get soaked.

I thought it was just me until I start hearing same complain from others.

That's where the issue of diapers came in.

Anyways, I won't try diapers again, I did once and it was such a mess for me.

It was just shifting to one corner and I eventually got stained (though it was size 3 that was suggested and that's what I used).

Except if maybe adult diapers and that would mean no more leggings when on period.

I'm sha eyeing menstrual cup but I'm considering irritation when sleeping and the blood flows back to touch the cervix.

    4. Her suspicion of is not heavily flawed. A lot of African women have fibroids and it result in heavy flow in a many cases. Maybe not 98% as stated by Anonymous 13:15, but definitely a high percentage.

      Delete
    5. Bitch and Slut, you mean you are comfortable wearing leggings on period days? 😯

      Delete
    6. I've been using diaper for years now because of fibroid induced heavier flow. I use size 4 diaper with 2 lady sept when going out else I will be stained.
I've always had heavy flow but fibroid made it heavier.

  4. I’m sure they absorb nicely but aren’t we supposed to change every 3-4 hours regardless of what you are using especially on heavy flow days? Cos I can’t imagine my vagina in a diaper for a whole 8 hours.. 😷

Beside, the thought of me..a 5’3 person putting some big ass diaper on. 😭😭😂😂

    1. 3hrs? With the current cost of pads?? How about when you go for an event that lasts longer than that

      Delete
    2. That’s what restrooms are for. You mean you don’t carry extra pads when you go out?

      Delete
    3. You mean the same diapers that babies wear will be big for an adult like you? Wonderful

      Delete
  5. Just last week I remembered this meme and waiting for Stella to brings it up to my second 'home'

I used my baby's diaper last week ooo it absorbs well but it's heavy like one is carrying a type of load down there

Will I want to use it again, may be/ may be not

  6. I've never tried diapers and don't intend to. Can someone recommend any good sanitary pad apart from always that's also good for heavy flow? The burning sensation and reaction I get from using always is unbecoming. I started using Kotex but it's like these supermarkets prefer to stock more on always pad than other brands.

How do people use that menstrual cup? I feel it's going to been one uncomfortable experience that's if you don't bath with menstrual blood first during first few attempt. Ewwww.

    1. Virony and Soft Care are also good and absorbent. Try them

      Delete
    2. Have u tried comfit? That type new moms use.

      Delete
    3. Try molped it's better than

      Delete
    4. Yeah , try the one recommended by 13.55. It's very good. I was using Always before because of the thinness, but it's so thin now that it doesn't absorb anything so K switched and it's all good now with the ☝️.
Please go for the one of heavy flow, it's longer.

      Delete
    5. I don't know where you reside.

I reside in lagos and I buy at ebeano supermarket or Vatican bell supermarket in surulere.
There is this always thick pad. Most supermarket sell it in transparent nylon. Its 18pieces inside and it is purple and white.

Very comfortable and good for heavy flow.

      Delete
    6. I tried kotek too but I think it's out of stock. Try angel pad. It's longer than always and absorbs a lot. I have very heavy flow. On my heavy days I finish a whole pack. Try it.

      Delete
    7. Try always cotton wool pad, you won't regret it. I used to have same reaction too whenever I used the normal always. But, when I switched to the always cotton wool pad with pink pack, the burning sensation stopped.

      Delete
    8. Kotex is still in the market. We have it here in Ibadan. I'm looking at one on my shelf as I type this

      Delete
    9. Angel bad is so nice, or virony

      Delete
    10. Kotex or bust oh. I mostly find it in Spar or Ebeano and I try to stock up (I can buy a dozen packs at a go sef) because it does go out of stock sometimes.
I tried all the variants of Always and molped but they both gave me that burning feel.

      Delete
    11. There's this pad I just discovered. It's called Wonderize. Very nice. Long, thick and cheap too. It sells #350 for 10 piece pack at an expensive supermarket o. It's made in Nigeria but I don't know why it's not everywhere. I usually buy it at Karma Mart in Apapa.
Another good one is Molped but it has gotten expensive of recent.
I tried Kotex for the first time recently, it didn't impress me.

      Delete
    12. Wow! I normally don't come back to my comments but this has been very worrisome I had to come check out recommendations and I'm marvelled at all the responses I got. Thank y'all so much. I'll try the comfit.

      Delete
    13. Ever since I discovered ladycare, the green pack for heavy flow, my dear, I abandoned kotex which was way more expensive and difficult to find.
Guess what? Ladycare costs 380. It used to be #270 then.

      Delete
    14. Try lady care pad. The one with the green packaging and not the yellow one ooo...

      Delete
  7. Extremely comfortable, I used it when my heavy flow started back then in secondary school. I haven’t used it in years though because there are sanitary pads as big as diapers like the always no 6 night pad with very wide back that covers from the whole pant especially the back area, and there is Poise as well ,also wide enough to cover the back of your panties, BUT!!!! If I am to start with diapers again I will go with adult diapers like “depends ” and line it with the above mentioned pads, dispose of it when I need to change and use another one instead of washing pants at all.

  8. Wowwww, wowwww again. Okay, it suits her , I guess mostly for the night so carry on. Plus she must be very slim, petite or underweight.

I couldn't, it looks bulky and then prominent hips and behind already makes it impossible 😀😀. I feel one could get carried away with not checking and then odour happens...i can't 😭. Plus the lines from the bands.

Is it really that absorbent? I like how I'm asking like I will try it😅. What about diaper rash?
Daytime waka, it must only be free flowing dresses right?
Do you feel tempted to pee in it?
What about the feeling of grabbing feeding bottle and baby bonnet to go along with it?
Do you use cussons product and like have a baby bath in the big size😉😉.
Do you say googoo gaagaa after wearing it then pouring baby powder and oil all over you?
Lots of baby fantasies with this post, can't help being a bit silly with it😀😀. Still sounds better than menstrual cup.

    1. You just lay it as pad, you cant take it round

    2. You don't have to wrap it round like diaper. Use it like pad and wear your pant.

  11. This sdk funny o, why would a woman use baby diapers, for what? When I’m not a baby

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yes o baby diapers are so reliable and comfortable. My sister mistakenly discovered this one day she was caught unawares, her daughter's diapers saved her that day.
We laughed at her then not knowing we'll also join in the act.😃😃😃

It's wider so it's more comfortable than regular sanitary towel.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I thank the Lord for the accidental discovery 7 years ago. I had to use my son's diapers cos I had run out of pads. Since then, no more staining everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Can we have a blog topic on fibroid? Who had it removed or who had natural remedies!

  15. Not tried it before, will one wear it like pant or just fix it under

  16. I flow so heavily and i dare not use our Nigerian Always except the imported one that has 40 sanitary (night time). Even at that i still overflow. So my customer i buy from in balogun told me to use baby diapers and its been 6years now. I use Molfix size 5 or Pampers 4. One of the best thing to happen in my menstrual life.

    3. My sister in law has been using diaper for over 7years now. When she first mentioned it,it sounded weird. I tried it once and I liked it but I still use pads.

      Delete
    4. @ Miss Ess please how do you package it so it doesn't shoot out behind?

      Delete
    5. It actually doesn't shoot behind at all. It is very flat front and back. The two edges with the rough plaster stats behind while the other two edges where it is smooth faces the front. No spilling, no stains, trust me. The only time you would feel you have something on is when you flowed so much. Your diaper would feel a little bit heavy down which shows to tell you that you need to change.

Note! It does not smell, except you used the ladies and didnt wash out or clean yourself properly.

Another thing is make sure you use one size bigger than you. I am a size 14 with a very portable bum. When i started i was given a 3 of pampers. It was fitted but not that long to the back for me, so the next time i went to buy i asked for a 4 amd it was perfect. Same thing with Molfix. Used a 4 and it wasnt wide enough and i switched to 5 and it was very perfect. But i would recommend Molfix. Thank you.

  17. Many Nigerian women will never ceased to amuse me with their unenlightened discoveries!

There are various sanitary pads for heavy flows. There are even adult diapers that they can easily wear too.

I am one of those women with very heavy flow. I can finish a pack of sanitary pads with 20 inside in two days, that's how much heavy is my flow. I continue to search and search until I found the main heavy flow pads and I've been happy since then.

Y'all should stop with your unenlightened discoveries and stop posting them online!

    3. Your first and last paragraph wasn't necessary.

Adult diapers are not affordable and pads for heavy flow are not available everywhere.

Even in lagos,it is not every supermarket you can get pad for heavy flow.

You live abroad and have many things to your disposal. So stop judging with your standard madam.

    12. The same diapers they wrap for 100naira now in lagos! Even Aboki sweet sells diaper now at 100 for one. You dont go to buy diapers and the seller asks you questions if its for you or a baby. I didn't get to know about it until an importer in Balogun introduced me to it herself. I was buying the imported night time Always from her then and it was 2200 6years ago, now it's 7k. Who would be spending 7k on tissue? She told me ladies use diapers now and i was like how? She explained and its all good.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't have need for baby diapers, my flow is not heavy, not light, just the average.
Even if it was heavy I wouldn't use a diaper cos it won't feel comfortable anyway

    ReplyDelete
  20. I use baby diaper now oo, because its like those companies making pads have sworn to humiliate ladies. Baby diaper to the rescue abeg. I use them on day 2 and 3 when the flow is quiet heavy. Day 4 and 5, I used LadyCare or Virony. God no go shame us.

  23. Baby diapers has been saving lots of women from embarrassing situations. My period is so heavy that I finish a pack of size 4 molfix (32pcs) and lady Sept in each cycle. It's cheaper than the imported Always that'll still leave you stained.
