France To Be Locked Down For 4 Weeks To Curb Spike Of COVID 19 Infections.

President Macron says France will go under another nationwide lockdown starting on Saturday, closing down schools for in-person learning nationwide and restricting travel to within 10 kilometers (about six miles) of residents’ homes right as many in the country were planning to celebrate the Easter holiday.

The lockdown is set to remain in place for four weeks, but schools are scheduled to reopen on April 26—right after many were set to reopen anyway after spring holidays.

Non-essential businesses have been ordered to close, and Macron is asking residents to work from home, saying work from home is "the most efficient measure."

Residents will only be able to leave their homes for a handful of reasons, such as commuting to an essential job, shopping for supplies or medical appointments.

  1. This Covid-19 Pandemic is something else. It has changed our lives dramatically. When you are thinking it is being mitigated or abated, puuum! you hear another story of its devastating menace.

Will things ever come back to normal? A question no one can answer for now, only time will tell.

    1. I think things will go back to normal pretty soon; especially with the advent of Covid-19 vaccines.

  2. The lockdowns do not seem to be working. If not for the health care workers and hospitals I would say let who want to go out there and mingle go and do their thing and deal with the consequences. But they will all run to the hospitals and burden the system.

The governments need to really investigate the lock down measures. And many ppl are still traveling in droves. Perhaps the Covid tests have a high false negative rate, I really don't know but something is broken. These lockdowns don't seem to be doing much to curb the spread of the virus in certain countries. And ppl are dying in significant numbers and being left with damaged bodies.
