    3. Based on healthcare, work (you are sure to make x3 more in Canada/Australia), standard of living is much better and its generally safer than the US and UK.

      Delete
    4. Why UK is worse is you only see big cash professional jobs dominated by whites, Asians, any other race but blacks!

It’s easier to get to middle class in the US than in the UK. In fact, I barely know a handful of people living the middle class life in the UK. High earnings are far greater in Canada followed y the US..UK not so much.

    5. I am not so sure about this. I live in London and I am a lawyer in one of the top law firms in the country. Almost all of my friends and acquaintances are in “top paying jobs” and they are black - Nigerian and otherwise. I’m not saying that it has been easy but it is also just as difficult almost everywhere else. Just to add, I wasn’t born here and I am not from a rich or even middle class background. I relocated as a young adult and have just had to work my butt off.

    2. You just have to stay strong. Try to see the good around you. As for Nigeria issue, just remain hopeful.

      Delete
    3. It won't be peaceful because folks at the head don't want peace. Relocate if you may.

      Delete
    4. Khlaeesi please just be strong. There cannot be peace if there is no justice. Any system that perverts justice ll eventually collapse

  6. My own question is, why, just why do many Nigerian actresses go to bed with makeup still on their faces (in movies)? Can't they make it real? Everyone wakes up with a makeup free face (I guess) and since acting is "make believe", are they wanting us to believe people can wake up with make up still intact on their faces? I just dey reason the matter when I out of boredom watch one naija movie like that. Another thing, why do they like "recycling"? Same movie content but different actors and just a tiny plot twist, in few cases. Na all this kain thing no dey make me watch naija movie, except I no just get choice at that moment.

    1. Their insecurities will not let them appear without makeup.

    2. My dearvif we start to talk naija movies you no go comot here. You know what i will advise you 'watch naija movie like you are a 3 year old'. Hilarious fact

      Delete
    3. It is to prevent you from being confused.

If they go to bed without makeup, you will not recognise them when they get up.

You will think it's a different character.

Confusion is not good for you.

    6. I think why they do that,is because such person may e acting different scenes on the same day in an acting set
So they may not have the strength to clean make up and apply again.
      Are my even making sense..hmmmm

    1. The one I know was in PH, they are usually affiliated to standard hospitals but you will talk to them and bargain prices with them independently. Our own in PH charged 200k for 3 months and comes to the house 3 times a week, please, monitor them closely oh. I don't trust anyone completely when it comes to my kids. All the best,

    2. Hmmm speech therapist mostly found in teaching hospitals, state owned hospitals. They charge per session so i think you have to make enquiries. Best of luck

    3. 13:44 Please im in need of one, how do I contact you?

      Delete
    4. Thank you all. Anonymous 13:44, what are the things expected from them and is 3 month ok for your child? Is your child talking well now? What other input did you put as a parent? Thank you.

      Delete
    5. I saw your question earlier but was really busy. The cost was 200k for 3 months and we had it going for about 3 or 4 years before we relocated, we use the one resident in a specialist hospital now. It is more stressful as you have to take and bring the child but it’s better as we had some drama with the therapist that was coming to the house.

These are some of the things we noticed the therapist did:

      1. Buy natural honey and keep using to massage his tongue, this is said to improve his speech.

      2. Buy a harmonica (mouth organ) and ensure he blows it well at each session, it exercises his vocal chords.

      3. Mix rice and beans (about one cup each) and ask him to separate them, this builds concentration (especially for autistic or ADHD kids).

      4. Buy picture books and read with him all the time so he learns to associate words and pictures as delayed speech affects the learning process, also buy picture cards as ask him to identify the objects in each picture.

      5. Encourage the child to read out and sound things out loud as often as possible. Don’t put him in special school as this will surround him with other special kids and he will not make much progress.

      6. You will need to make friends with his teacher so they will help keep an eye on him to avoid bullying, teasing and mockery, ensure the child doesn’t lose his self confidence.

      7. Also, avoid processed food as much as possible as this affects the delayed speech even further.

      8. Avoid unfamiliar places, places with too many flashing lights and staying too long if you go out as the child will become disoriented.

We started when he was 4 and he will be 9 this year, he is definitely better but not as sound as a regular child, the specialist said we will stop this year.

This journey is tiring, expensive and stressful but once you get it right at this stage, you won’t have to deal with an adult with issues. Love and light to you dear.

  11. Let me go anon, side eyes @ Shooter gyal.
My twin girls are so different. One is quiet and calm, while the other is extremely playful and up and about.
In school, their classmates like the calm one more and are quick to say it out loud. She's always telling me, mummy my twin sister more, they don't like me.
Please how do I encourage and cheer her up?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think you can encourage her by letting her know that nothing is wrong with her. She is an extrovert and she should not change that for anyone. I ll suggest you also have your twin daughters have the discussion together. You can be the listening mom, allow dem bare their minds then you give them your final thoughts. Assure them that you love them and they should just be themselves. And sometimes you won't be liked for no reason but they must be confident in themselves. This is what I ll do if i am a mother. I hope this helps.

    1. So clothes that are a must in your wardrobe: various colours of Blazers (black, brown, grey and beige), pencil or body con skirts (if you are inverted triangle or apple shaped please avoid), palazzos, 3 quarter trousers, corporate trousers, camisoles, high waist trousers, corporate gowns or body con gown.

For me most dressings are same but just wearing a blazer, turtle neck tops just makes the difference. Also jewellery/accessories make a huge difference.

Platform shoes, wedges, court shoes makes a whole lot of difference. I hope this helps
