    3. Agu is not tiger as we don't have tigers in Africa so there was no way our ancestors would have named a nonexistent animal.

    4. Haven't you heard of Odum n'egbu agu? Which means lion that beats/kills the tiger? Or better still, lion is stronger than tiger. Lion is Odum, while Tiger is Agu in Igbo, do your research.

  2. Too many security outfits in the SouthEast, I won't be surprised if this is the idea of WILLIE OBIANO. Why not reform and properly equip the ones already operating. It will cost more money to recruit, train and equip these new guys.

At the end of the day, they will employ their loyalists.

NB: Ebube Agu means the Glory of lion

  4. Pronouncement is not enough. Let SE States Houses of Assembly move motions legalizing it like South West did to Amotekun.

    Better late than late.

    2. I kind of disagree with you.
Edi is the Hyena. The Igbo have no history of Tiger, so i doubt there is/was a name for Tiger. I have never held Tiger anywhere in Igbo, people just use Agu because it fits. I can categorically beat my chest that There are no Tigers in Igbo land, there never have been. Unless there is an updated Igbo that calls the Tiger Agu, and that is why i indicated Wild cats as Agu.

    4. Thank you @ Ihunanyachukwu. I wonder how people will confidently say that Agu is Tiger. Ridiculous to say the least

    5. Tiger may not be in Igbo land but Igbos know it exists. Odum is lion, agu is tiger. There's a saying that odum n'egbu agu. I can agree that they may refer to the big cat family as agu.

  6. Good move, since the government have refused to address the issue of insecurity despite the constant killing of harmless citizen by Fulani, the state has no other option than to equip it's people to engage the nuisance Fulani herdsmen.

  7. Why are these governors acting so shamefully? How do you create a regional security outfit as such without displaying the men on ground or security patrol vans? Who are they fooling? Was that how Amotekun was launched? You don't just rush to the public spewing thrash without showing substance to back up your words. I guess the men for the work haven't been recruited. Arrant nonstbse.

    1. Honestly these guys are always making caricature of themselves. At just a one time summit, they already limped to the public with this nonsense... Just imagine...

And for y'all arguing the existence and non existence of tigers in Africa, hope y'all have been living since BC.
