This is a continuation from last week
I was seriously bothered that maybe Pat had given birth to my child.
I eventually called her only to find out that she lost the baby. It was quite sad. For someone who had lost a child at birth before, it can be such a devastating experience. She bluntly to told me she had moved on and forgotten about the experience, and that I shouldn’t worry about her.
In the case of P, the lady eventually gave birth to the child while we were at work. So, when we got back, we decided to go see her. We bought lots of stuffs and provisions for her and the baby. She was feeling very happy and announcing to everyone one that the baby daddy had arrived.
Then P dropped the bombshell, “we have to do the DNA test as soon as possible!”, he declared. By my own observation looking at the child, she didn’t remotely look like P. We were told the test can only be done after the child is about a month old.
Back in the days, DNA tests were not readily available and were quite expensive. If Pat had given birth that baby alive, I would have accepted it without asking questions then because the idea of DNA testing wasn’t common. Though I had my doubts that the baby wasn’t mine. But I couldn’t argue. I was already thinking how I was going to break the news to my young wife.
I got to find out due the P’s baby issue that DNA test cost 120k to do it. The cost may be different now. I can imagine what it would have been if he couldn’t afford it. The lady didn’t see the DNA thing coming and could not do anything about it.
I personally had to reassure the lady that she shouldn’t bother; that no matter the outcome of the results, we would support her with the child’s upkeep.
We returned to work and came back about a month plus later for the test. Having to watch the medical practitioners take blood from a less than two months old child was one of the most horrifying experiences I have ever had. Because they needed a specific quantity of blood to do the test, it was quite heartbreaking watching them trying to take blood from a child whose veins are not yet developed. The chilling cries of the baby was painful to endure.
The results came out negative and all hell broke loss.
The results came out negative and all hell broke loss.
She called me swearing and cursing P that he brought a fake DNA results all because it was photocopied for her. I simply told her to go to any diagnostic center of her choice that I will pay for it if she wishes to conduct the test again. We were angry with her for even taking us through a year’s agony with someone else’s child. She didn’t take my offer till this day. She had been lying all along.
So, the multi-billion-dollar question begging for answer is “why would a man in an altar-bound relationship cheat on his fiancée, knowing there could be consequences?”. The answer I would say is simple “some of us men are plain stupid, pure and simple!”. We do stupid things and give ourselves stupid reasons to justify them.
As for the reasons why a woman will pin another man’s child on someone else. That’s a debate for another day. But one simple underlining factor in most of the paternity fraud cases is that, most women would rather give the child to man who is more likely to accept it and has more capabilities to take care of the child. That’s pure motherly instinct. Albeit, a wicked one.
And if you are wondering why P’s fiancée still agreed to go ahead with the marriage even after she discovered P had sexual relations with another woman while they were planning marriage, I would say don’t judge a person’s decisions and choices based how you perceive things. She has her reasons and its her life and her marriage. But then P begged for forgiveness like his life dependent on it.
As a person, I have done some really stupid stuff. Some of them I still feel bad about. But over the years I have learnt not to live in regret and make the best out of life. But the reality of life is that we are our choices and our mistakes.

The last time i saw P with his wife, I could see the appreciation in his eyes whenever he looks at his wife. Only God knows what would have become of his life if she had called off the marriage only to later discover the child ended up not to be his.
Some of you may want weekly chronicles where I would tell about my perfect and wonderful marriage where I do no wrong and be all holy and everything is “stewy”. But the amazing thing about life in general and marriage in particular is that we are who we are irrespective of where we end up in life or marriage.
This is my reality. We shall have the good days and the bad days.
For those married and unmarried men, always remember that there are consequences for your “kurukere” movements.
E go be
Ciao!
E go be
Ciao!
Every kurukere movement has consequences but the male gender will never listen.
ReplyDeleteJust like women right?
DeleteConsequences dey o.
DeleteP's fiancee mow wife wss the real MVP in the whole saga
ReplyDeleteHow was she the real MVP? By accepting to marry a man that cheated on her, had sex without condom? And had to impregnate another woman. Is that who should be a real MVP? Maybe I don't understand what MVP means. Cos I know it as a way to hype someone that did a good job

Majority of oil and gas guys in PH na so. No future plans except to build a house in PH, buy a car or two, open a baby products shop for their wife, and squander their rig bonus on alcohol and women. Those that go to land rigs even sleep with the prostitutes in the makeshift shanties. Every land rig has such shanties outside the main gate. They live as though the rig bonus will be paid forever. Those in Lagos are smarter because Lagos makes you hustle and invest. Telling me their escapades with their sidechicks and witnessing it for myself made me decide to never date nor marry an oil and gas guy and God answered my prayer. I also believe in not dating where I eat from to avoid stories that touch the bank account.
DeleteLet them continue sleeping around and not plan for their retirement and kids school fees incase they get laid off.
One incident that broke my heart was when the police escorts decided we couldn't get to PH from a rig before dark so the company checked us into a hotel as per company policy. The waitress at the hotel was a young beautiful but fragile looking girl. I thought she should still be in secondary school. A colleague asked her what shift she was on and also had a private chat with her before we all went to our rooms. When he told me on our way to PH the next day that he slept with the girl, I nearly wept. I asked how much he gave her and he said 10K. This is a married man with 2 kids that make over a $1k per day as an expert. He told me it was more than the girls monthly salary.
I've seen married colleagues that I thought were better driving out of guesthouses with their side chicks. Na to wave and keep it going. They will tell other colleague say I catch them the other day. Well na you know say na catch, na only see I see. If you want to date or marry and oil and gas guy, be emotionally strong o else na cry cry everyday. One even boasts that his wife will act as though she doesn't know him when she sees him with side chicks around town. In his case, he claims he warned her that he won't stop after marriage and she accepted so she knew what she signed up for.

At anonymous 19:07 not all of us are male prostitutes I still have my dignity intact, i am married and haven't reasoned any woman.
DeleteWhat?! This is a painful read, especially the last sentence.
DeleteI beg tell dem
ReplyDelete“ Some of you may want weekly chronicles where I would tell about my perfect and wonderful marriage where I do no wrong and be all holy and everything is “stewy”.
DeleteNo need to sugarcoat your experience. Yours is similar to what goes on in a lot of marriages...the philandering husband and his embittered, jealous, frustrated wife that is angry with happy women she comes across.
This story sounds someone.. isn't DNA testing done by swabing the baby's mouth instead of this blood drawing thing the writer mentioned + if they were testing using blood won't a drop have been enough..
ReplyDeletePoster hope you guys were not scammed.
Anty Caro.
It's Mouth swab I know too o, which is a blood test, they should go for a test in another hospital
DeleteMen sha. He knew that night that something was amiss in the lady Clara trying to force him to have sex without condom but he couldn’t control his prick.
ReplyDeleteShe now pinned it on him, as expected, as per oil rig worker, let him come and be funding her. Silly, wicked girl.
Men should keep their peepee in one place pls
My dear live men when it comes to vagina mata. One told me he was a full blooded man when he shared a similar story of Mr p, I was wondering if self control was so hard. My mentor said God created the head above the private area for a reason but so many humans choose to allow the private area rule over their heads.
DeleteTo think that she was also having unprotected sex to other men while she still had it unprotected with him. She could have given him HIV and like that he would have given it to the real “MVP” wife he eventually married. Bunch of promiscuous dogs on heat
DeleteNice one
ReplyDeleteMen and women flee sexual immorality! It contaminates your spirit, soul and body which is God's temple with all manner of soul-ties and binds you to spirits you know nothing about from your sexual partners.
ReplyDeleteI just want to ask, WHY engage in sexual escapes while planning your wedding? 🤔
Eating your cake and having it
DeleteI hope both genders learn from this. Guys, not every hole should be drilled because you could be digging your grave.
ReplyDeleteMrs P was patient enough to be the real MVP
I really feel sad for your wife...You took her away from her faith, cheated on her constantly.. ...what profit a Man to gain the whole world and lose his soul.Bad behaviour is bad please let's not glorify it.I know no one is perfect...but let's do our best to be the best version of ourselves.
ReplyDeletePele o, holy mary
DeleteThat is why I love the whites. Everything about Africa is somehow honestly. Sex and sex is all they know
ReplyDeleteContinue loving the whites...
DeleteHope they're loving you back?
