Pastor Paul Adefarasin Of house on the rock recently advised his Church members and any other person listening to his preaching to get a Plan B out of Nigeria because of the state of the Nation...
Would you take that advice or stay and fight for Nigeria? Do you think it was right for a Preacher who should give hope to his congregation to preach fear? Is the pulpit now an avenue to address political issues or preach the word of God?
If everybody takes the Plan B advice, what will become of Nigeria?
Lets discuss this and face the message therein and not the Messenger....
I am tired of all the sad stories coming out of Nigeria and my tired is tired but I still believe in Nigeria and I believe that God has a surprise coming for Nigerians soon....

DeleteI'm with you on this Bbjac. I missed several opportunity to leave, I refused thinking that things will eventually get better. Here we are, things have deteriorated so bad that most Nigerians are finding it hard to live a normal life. Most abnormalities have become a way of life in this country. So plan B for me now is necessary even though the grass ain't luscious over there at least is greener and have a semblance of normalcy.

DeleteWe as a people have to change our attitude. We have to be truthful and sincere. A tailor, mechanic, plumber, brick-layer, and other artisan that cheat and lie to their clients are not better than the leaders we have in power. The lecturer that collects "blocking" for grades is also part of the problem. We as a people have to do a self examination. The truth is that a lot of us are hypocrites. Let's start doing the right thing even if no one is watching us and even if no one would know.

DeleteLeaving Nigeria is a sure bet of survival even though the grass they say isn't always greener over there. I keep telling people, the day you leave Nigeria to a sane clime, you're redeemed in life. If not for anything, at least for sanity sake. There's value of life and properties over there.
ReplyDeleteNigeria and all it represents is a monumental setback and failures. Succeeding here bores down on one's ingenuity and struggle. The country has no hands in bettering the lives of its citizens rather they will use taxes to drain you up.
Australia is my dream country and I hope to fulfill that dream someday if God willing. The day I step my foot out of this country, I will work towards the renunciation of my citizenship as a Nigeria. Yes, it has become that bad all thanks to the janjaweed from the sahel ruling us over three decades.
We will be glad when you renounce, so you can stop speaking constant negativity into the nation. Ciao.

ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that relocating isn't cheap but I will if I can. I'm tired of looking over my shoulders everyday, bad things happen everywhere but Naija's case is something else.

DeleteCheck countries like Togo and Liberia who believed/believe in plan B and advise yourselves. Also take countries like Ghana and Rwanda where citizens stayed to build and compare. There's nothing wrong in travelling but I don't think Nigeria should abandoned for plan b. Travel but come back home yo build.

DeleteThat's true. But to build a good nation we as individuals have to change our value system before we change Nigeria. Nigeria is a collection of Nigerians, so if 80% of Nigerians are truthful, dedicated, hardworking, sincere and patriotic.

It is the descendants of the Jews that SURVIVED that rebuild the nation of Israel. It is those Nigeria threw out with Ghana must Go that made Ghana a haven. What has someone who will sell his vote for 2000 every two years have to offer in nation building than to sell his country for five thousand? Are such people not the majority in the country? Are they not the ones who will decide any election? So how then will they vote for a brighter future when they are thinking of how much rice they will get from PDP or APC?

The descendants of the jews had no where to go but Israel, no country was willing to take them in. That is what is causing the war between Israel and Palestine till today.... That is by the way sha.... As for me no plan B ooh Naija is the only plan. Other countries were built by citizens. New Zealand and Australia was built by rejected Europeans. Rwanda and Ghana are Building themselves, we can too.
