  9. I pity those who go for those sliced fruits . Please if you must eat fruit save money and once in a while go for the full fruit. You only need to see where these people wash the fruits.

    1. Lami you can say that again! I remember a long time ago when my mother was still alive we went to karimo market to buy food stuffs. I left the house without eating, I was so hungry I bought peeled pineapple from one aboki. Hmmmmm I purged eeh! I purged so bad that I was wondering what I ate! I was admitted for food poisoning. Since then OYO! I buy my fruits whole and cut by myself!

    2. Why is that they use all these to refer Hausa people??
I need to see a Posh Hausa person that has good sense of reasoning to prove me wrong that all of them are not the same.Even the ones around are not convincing.

  10. Have I never bought any peeled fruit from this Aboki. Unless, I buy it, take it home, and give it a good wash. I see people buy already cut, water melon from them and I'm like God4bid. The worst I can't buy is sugarcane. This people irritate the hell out of me

  11. I remember the last one video where the aboki was washing fruits inside the gutter. The other day I mentioned not buying from dates from abokis in wheelbarrows. Some people were foaming gnashing their teeth.

    I also don't buy suya.

I stopped buying suya on 2007 when I saw the aboki suya seller pee by the side of the road and go back to cutting his meat.

If you must buy anything from them, soak it in hot water and/or vinegar.

The one that freaks me out is people who buy and pop directly in their mouth?????

  15. All those who cut okro and ugu at the market are in the same WhatsApp group with the ones who eat roadside peeled fruits.

Let me wait for the comments of those who abused me when I said it's wrong to buy them or cut vegetables outside their homes.
    Haha.

    I love this post.

    1. I stopped cutting vegetables in the market last year. They cut all the thrash leaves supposed to be discarded with it.
I stopped blending melon too since the day I saw a full earring in the egusi I took home to blend. Would have blended it with my egusi if I had done it in the market.
Mehn, too many things going on with the food we eat.
Makes me wonder about all the restaurant (even the so called fancy) meals we consume.

Oh God please protect us, keep our immune system strong against things like this.

Shea now, an innocent somebori will go and buy those fruits, and the he/she will use that knife to cut the fruit.

  18. This is one of the reasons I buy fruits in whole, so many disgusting things they do but not limited to abokis alone.

  19. Very disgusting set of human beings! Buying sliced fruits, suya or any food that involved them using their bear hands, is buying sicknesses and diseases. Those people are filthy and hardly have a bathe.

Instead buy the whole fruit, give it a thorough wash and eat to your fill.
If you must buy suya, let it be very hot.

Anybody that knows me too as a child knows that I will rather go hungry than eating out in a dirty environment.

  21. It is not only Abokis including road side food sellers.
Few weeks ago,I saw one that carried sliced paw paw and left it uncovered.
Come and see how flies were parading on it.I was waiting for him to get close to tell him to cover it because someone will buy it not knowing,I didn't know when he left.
Reason why I don't eat out.Let's be watchful and careful.
    Prevention is better than cure.

  22. Ngwanu, ndi woke generation of lazy people that wouldn't cook their own food, those that'd have these peeps that rarely baths to peel and cut open their fruits, ndi madam abeg cut the okra/ugu for me naw. Shey you people are seeing it? This right here is one of the side effects of trusting people with what you eat.

Even at home, some evil helps will intentionally cook the foods their bosses and kids eats with dirty water, urine and any other disgusting thing one can imagine just to get back at their employees for whatever thing did to them. Y'all continue.

  23. Everything we eat in Nigeria is dirty. Even all those garri, elubo, cray fish, beans they pour them on the floor. You see flies hovering around the meat in the market.
Our level of hygiene is too poor especially with edibles.

How we will not have typhoid??
