Nigeria's Information Minister Lai Mohammed Says 476 Websites Were Created To Post Fake News About President Buhari

On Monday may 17th, while receiving officials of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). Information Minister, Lai Mohammed said 476 websites have been created to publish fake news about President Muhammadu Buhari and his government.

He said

“Recently, we unveiled almost 476 publication sites that are dedicated to daily engaging in churning out fake news to fight the government.”

The Minister said the platforms claimed when Buhari was in the UK the last time, he was advised to step down because he could not recognize family members.
He added that traducers know that people are gullible and will make the fake news go viral.

He warned that unverified information was taking a new dimension and threatening the existence of the country and
urged the NIPR to play its role and actively participate in the fight against fake news.

  2. The industry of churning out fake news and inciting the masses against the government has grown into a multi billion dollar industry. See grants coming in from all angles. They are doing it now and you are all enjoying it cause the man you love to hate is the president. He'll soon leave there and it'll be the turn of your faves. Even if that's not the case, these things have a way of coming back to bite y'all in the ass. You'd be the victim some day just as some innocent people in the east are already victims of the ESN madness. Keep it up and keep cheering them on
