President Buhari Says Those Set Out To Destroy His Government Are In For A Rude Shock

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday issued a stern warning to those bent on destroying the country through promoting insurrection, and burning down critical national assets: a rude shock awaits them, and very soon too.

The President spoke after he received briefing from Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu, on series of attacks on facilities of the electoral body round the country.

“I receive daily security reports on the attacks, and it is very clear that those behind them want this administration to fail,” President Buhari said. “Insecurity in Nigeria is now mentioned all over the world. All the people who want power, whoever they are, you wonder what they really want. Whoever wants the destruction of the system will soon have the shock of their lives. We’ve given them enough time.”

President Buhari recalled that he visited all the 36 states of the country before the 2019 election, “and majority of the people believed me, and the election proved it.” He promised to continue leading the country in accordance with Constitutional provisions.

He said those misbehaving in certain parts of the country were obviously too young to know the travails and loss of lives that attended the Nigerian Civil War. “Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand. We are going to be very hard sooner than later.”

The President said the Service Chiefs and the Inspector General of Police have been changed, “and we will demand security from them.”
On the dangers posed to future elections by the burning of INEC facilities, President Buhari said he would give the electoral commission all it needed to operate, “so that no one would say we don’t want to go, or that we want a third term. There will be no excuse for failure. We’ll meet all INEC’s demands.”
In his briefing, Prof Yakubu said that so far, there have been 42 cases of attacks on INEC offices nationwide, since the last General Election.

“The 42 incidents so far occurred in 14 states of the Federation for a variety of reasons….Most of the attacks happened in the last seven months, and they are unrelated to protest against previous elections. From the pattern and frequency of the most recent attacks, they appear to be targeted at future elections.

The intention is to incapacitate the Commission, undermine the nation’s democracy and precipitate a national crisis,” Prof Yakubu said.

Teejay biko jizi nwayo...I don want Earthquake or even war...I am not interested in even Biafra because it will still not be Uhuru when it is actualized...My own is we need to develop our land- Ala anyi..I know that Buhari hates Igbos so much but I am happy it is in the open rather than pretending about it; for him to reference the civil war shows his sociopathic tendencies....

God save us in this country..Other Igbos aiding these unknown gun men to destroy Imo and other south east region should just stop..These drums of wars beating will not help anybody..I am still traumatized by the horrible pictures, I still miss my maternal grandfather who I never met before because of this same civil war... I don't trust Nnamdi Kanu because he is a chief propagandist and there is more that meets the eyes!

    3. Golibe, I should take it easy you said. Did you see how idiotic your president sound, reminding us of the grave war crimes they committed against my people and you dare tell me to be calm. Did you read the threats coming from him? So we should all fold our hands and do nothing. Has he ever threaten his kinsmen that way? I just don't want to get angry with you this morning.

    4. Teejay see what Golibe is saying is that you need to calm down and don't get worked up on your emotions or else you will start mirroring what you are actually not...This is what Buhari and his cohorts wants to do, whip up your emotions and make you take the first strike which will eventually be a mistake and capitalize on..These people are very toxic and have played the mind game for so long; they have already brainwashed, gaslighted their people that you can hardly see them make common sense submissions...You need not to get angry at all...~~When a leopard takes a few steps back when faced with a prey, its not a sign of weakness, retraction or fear but to create a momentum to pounce on its prey~~~

Just focus on you and your business...When you are about to sleep at night, watch comedy it will go a long way..I do same now and I feel more relaxed...Just try it..

    6. Truth is those clamouring for war have not given a thought to what war really is, it's not just shooting and killing people, it's starvation, it's penury, it's living in fear, it's lack of access to health care, it's losing people you know, it's lack of access to your money in the bank, it's rape of women, it's a life of uncertainty, it's hindering the education of a generation it's recruitment of young boys into the army, it's humanity at it's worst, and then after the war it takes decades to recover, ask Rwanda, Libya. We have come this far without tangible government support, we are self sufficient, there is no need for war. My two cents

  8. When we told you Nigeria is gone, you thought we were drunk saying that. Nigeria can never be redeemed no matter how hard you pray about it. It's already a failed country and too late.

    Now read this;

"The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and the Harvard Kennedy School in the United States, have said that Nigeria as a nation, is at a point of no return haven showed all the signs of a failed nation. The organisation which made the disclosure in a research finding it released through its senior fellow and former US Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell and Mr Robert Rotberg, who is the founding director, Harvard Kennedy School’s Programme on Intrastate Conflict and president emeritus, World Peace Foundation, said Nigeria is currently in its final phase, from which it would eventually collapse.
The organisation said their position was not based on emotion or the fancy of using pejorative words to described the situation, but on “a body of political theory developed at the turn of this century and elaborated upon, case by case, ever since.”
Its report said Nigeria has since moved from being a weak state to “a fully failed state,” having manifested all the signs of a failed country, including the inability of government to protect the citizens, large scale violence and festering insurgency."

I have lost about 4 people to the activities of the UGM, should the trend continue because the boko harams haven't been fully curtailed?
And of course many of the northern bandits have met their water loo and I have evidences to back this claim.

The Civil war happened but sometimes its like the country wants to erase a history of genocide. Today in the middel belt communities are loosing their ancestral homes due to invasion by Fulani Jihadists. Tales of abadoned farmlands. A genocide is presently being committed there. This is another time bomb on our hands. Years from now, those people will have their own agitation and someone somewhere will tell them to 'just forget'? Forget that a genocide never happened? Only if this country is open to discussions on the war, apologies and reparations will at least this country have hope of moving forward. Till then, agitaions like these will only continue....

Those boys have the blood of the dead warriors in them and are not afraid of death. How many una kill before? How many una go kill now? Those utterance speaks volumes and implies a deep-seated hatred for the ibos whch seems to be generational. Boko Haram and bandits deserves sympathy but IPOB etc are tagged "enemies of the stae", who lie help? The international community is watching and a father should not be the one to destroy one of his son's for asking for his fundamental rights. WHY NOT LISTEN TO THEM FIRST? Why not engage and dialogue with them and get the right people and institutions to pacify them so Nigeria can move forward. How long shall we continue to publicly humiliate ourselves like this worldwide? Nigeria belongs to us all and ONLY NIGERIANS CAN BUILD THIS NATION BY CHOICE. Destruction and death is not the way out. All the blood of our YOUTHS, MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN across states being spilled has been crying and will continue to cry until we come together as one to make restitution and move forward. This will not even cost as much as 1/10th of what is being used to fund the fight against insurgents. The presidency is a seat of maturity, engagement and continuous dialogue not a Riot Act platform.

  21. Any discerning eye can only see an orchestrated effort to weaken the defences of the South East; therefore the constant attacks on IPOB. One can't help but blv that all the mayhem currently going on in the East is being contrived so as to call IPOB a bad name and hang it. They know that IPOB is the unit that is able and willing to put up defence against Fulani invasion. If the gun men are unknown, then how come they are sure they are IPOB? Then again, if they are IPOB, name them. Tell me how the FG will be threatening seccesionists while YET to dislodge Jidadists that HAVE CLAIMED TERRITORY within its jurisdiction? How serious has its effort to fight world reknowned terrorists within its borders ACTUALLY been and still the ppl remain there and have in fact, come as far as the Middle Belt? THE SOUTH-EAST IS NOBODY'S FOOL.
