Activist Nnamdi Kanu's Lawyer Reveals He Was Detained For 8 Days In Kenya...

Activist Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has disclosed through his Lawyer Mr Ifeanyi Ejiofor details of his arrest and alleged torture by Kenya Authority ....

The lawyer who visited Nnamdi Kanu at the custody of the Department of State Service, DSS,on Friday evening posted on Facebook....

“Update on meeting with MNK today, 2nd July 2021:

My Client – Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was actually abducted by the accursed Kenya’s Special Police Force on the 18th of June 2021 at their International Airport, and consequently taken to an undisclosed residence under dehumanizing conditions.

He was tortured and subjected to all forms of inhuman treatment which worsened his health condition. *He was illegally detained for eight (8) good DAYS in Kenya* before being transfered to their Nigerian counterpart.

He was purportedly investigated on a bogus charge while in their custody, ostensibly, awaiting to be handed over after their findings proved him innocent of all the spurious allegations. They later beckoned on their Nigerian Counterpart to take over.

Kenyan Government was deeply involved in the abduction, detention and ill-treatment of my Client before the illegal handover to their Nigerian counterpart.

A scan of his heart showed that the heart has enlarged by 13% due to the dehumanizing treatment meted to him. There will be need for immediate proper medical examination and attention for him.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu conveyed his goodwill message to all IPOB family members worldwide, and craved for your unrelentless prayers.

We are going back to the Court for the needful. Other details cannot be entertained here.

His fortified legal team will address these infractions at the proper forum as we progress. Other details on our legal strategy, may not be made public.

With Chukwuokike Abiama on our side, Victory is assured. For if God Almighty be for us, who can be against us?”

*A Scan shows his heart has enlarged? How did the Lawyer know this? did he go with a scan for the heart? just curious.

  3. Kenya should be taken to court. Useless country.

People that love nnamdi should do all they can to help him.

    1. All British lawyers of Igbo extraction have done that already. They will answer at the ICC.

    2. This Teejay is a comedian. You made me laugh. Please I owe you $500 if anything comes out whatever your ipob lawyers are doing.

  4. Obviously they did. There was a test on him. I think I will say, calling Mazi Nnamdi Kanu an activist is totally wrong. Maybe I don't know the true meaning of activism but one thing I understand perfectly well is that, Kanu isn't fighting for a political or social change rather total emancipation and restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra whereas an activist fights for a political/social change.

One thing I found so disheartening is the manner in which African leaders lies to the public. President Uhuru of Kenya was making broadcast denying his complicity in the said abduction of Nnamdi Kanu but here we are reading it. I wasn't surprise, for Kenya is predominantly a Muslim country and as such will go any length to do what they have done.

This isn't the first time Kenya is doing such a thing. They did same with Gülen, nephew of Fethullah Gülen, a US-based Muslim cleric whom Turkey accuses of masterminding a military coup attempt in Turkey in 2016 and the leader of a movement Turkey deems a terrorist organization.

They will definitely answer to this at the ICC.

    2. in one breath teejay says because Kenya is muslim nation after he said they did same to a muslim cleric nephew meaning they did it to a muslim ..which one is it for you oga?..that person saying common Kenya has not travelled there before it is much better a place than Nigeria now

    3. I said predominantly Muslim. Understand that we have two types of Muslim. Isn't Ezazaky a Muslim? Isn't he being tortured by another group of Muslim that feel superior? If he was in the same Muslim family with Mr President, do you think he will undergo such inhumane treatment?

    5. Teejay, moslem population in Kenya is not even up to 15% as they are minority.

  5. Kanu made the mistake of his life by getting on that plane to Africa. He should have known better. African countries want to suck up to Nigeria for favors now or the future. There is no law in Africa. Which enlarged heart? Abegi! Mazi is slow… period

    1. @Karen, do you ever think Kenya is a transit point for those traveling. What if it was on transit he was picked up at the airport?

    2. It was greed. Other men would have sent one of their boys to collect the money being offered. But he had to go personally so he chops alone. See his fendi. Anyway biafra should pls come to his aid.

    3. Teejay, I understand our struggle. The truth is that Kanu is not competent. What bloody transit? He should have stayed in Europe, worst case scenario. I know you are a loyal follower of Kanu but he obviously fucked up, knowing the situation in the “zoo” . He isn’t very smart and we deserve better. Igbo people know when to fight and when to retreat. I’m really disappointed with the way he was captured. It was too easy for Nigeria. It’s embarrassing actually. I hated the way he told his boys to turn violent but I didn’t want them to catch him like this.

    4. 1967 comes to mind, Igbo people never know when to retreat.
      They fight without strategy

  6. I guess they don't want a terrorist in their land. It's high time African Leaders work together in order to flush any bad element from the continent.

  7. So this is the man who is an inspiration for IPOB? Pathetic. Instead of standing strong and defiant, he is making excuses like a little boy. He isn’t ready to die for what he believes.

  8. It is all propaganda. Kanu was interviewed by a Kenyan online broadcast station on May 21 and his deranged followers like Teejay praised him. Apparently he been in Africa for months. The idiot that called himself the supreme leader of Biafra is a coward. He paid a PR company to influence the online broadcast station. The heart nonsense is just silly . He was granted bail on health grounds and he escaped with the help of the British embassy. I guess he is deluding himself that any court in Nigeria will grant bail on health grounds again.I like the way Malami brushed aside the British high commissioner, when she tried to talk able Kanu.

The Kenyan director of immigration said Kanu was not arrested in Kenya. The Kenyan ambassador to Nigeria also said he was not arrested in Kenya

    1. From your previous write-ups. I understand you are a full adult. I don't want to believe you are paid to put in this energy to defend a failed government. What will you loose if the south east get Biafra. Why is it paining you so much that a set wants to be disconnected from Nigeria. Did he ask Nigeria to give him oil well. Did he ask your government to make him minister. Just because one mans stood up and said enough is enough let my people go. You are always urinating when you hear about this failed government. You are doing well. God will not kill all igbos in one day. You see this Buhari government that is making you laugh will soon make you cry if you don't respect your age. Lick some honey. You are so bitter. Even Isha Buhari has seen this cabals are chronic liers.

    2. Alexander The British HC visit to Malami was more of a solidarity visit and tacit approval. Seasoned diplomats can read the tea leaves. They played a role tacitly in the capture of MNK. There’s no way Kenya would have handed over someone traveling on a British passport to Nigeria without tacit approval of Whitehall. MNK’s goose was cooked the moment they started killing security forces and innocent citizens. No western country will stand behind that.

    3. You are wise. The desperation of Britain post Brexit is something else. If only Africa had good leaders not these greedy old men and women. MNK is the only person who genuinely cared but saboteurs will not see it. Elohim is with him o. Chuku okike Abiama and his CHI will see him through and his enemies will fall by the wayside.

  10. I have known for a long time thst this Kanu is a fraud. Jumped bail, throwing his guarantors under the bus to take shelter in the UK from where he commandeered many of his brainwashed followers to their death. See how his greed for the fine things of life finished him mow. He should go cool his heels in jail and fight from there. After all, Mandela fought from Robben Island prison not from some cosy UK home.

  11. Biafra is a valid cause, but you see this man up there, he's not it. Even before he became this known, he was constantly inciting hatred towards non-Igbos, which then degenerated to violence in recent times.
