Bandits Abduct Ransom Negotiator For Giving Them Incomplete Ransom

Bandits in Niger state have abducted a negotiator who had been sent to pay ransom to secure the release of 136 students kidnapped on May 29,2021 from the Salihu Tanko Islamic school in Tegina.

The negotiator, a 60-year-old man from the community, was taken because kidnappers said the ransom he brought was short.

Abubakar Alhassan, director of the Islamic school and parents of the children confirmed this, according to a news agency report.

Alhassan said the school and parents have been negotiating with the kidnappers who demanded 30 million naira ($72,993) to release the students from the school.

Alhassan said the school had contributed to a ransom and some parents sold property to raise cash given to the negotiator.

The kidnapped negotiator was not identified.

  5. Can you imagine this? We should stop calling these people bandits or don't we know what bandits is all about? These are boko haram/Fulani herdsmen perpetrating evil in the country. Since the international communities already designated them terrorist, Nigerian government baptised them with a new name 'bandits' as to cover their real identities. One big question to ask is, which people are this so called 'bandits'? The same 'bandits' shot down air force jet and what does that tells you? Isn't it Boko Haram that we usually watch shooting military aircraft and all that? So why lied to us by calling them bandits? They move with motorbike in large numbers. Isn't that boko haram modus operandi?

Isn't these people the same people always in a meeting with Gunmi?

Next time they should send Gunmi to go and deliver ransom to avoid innocent person being killed.

  13. Bandits are now strong enough to acquire anti fighter jet gun. Yet they collected another 50m successfully with no action from government. 127 students were kept in forest for weeks with no response from our security agencies. Same government is busy flexing muscles in Cotonou over Igboho. We lost Nigeria the day Buhari was elected president

  14. In Eastern Nigeria, the government through the military is bombing the Igbo people another act of genocide and the media is keeping quiet. What has ESN done to attract the bombing of our villages? Why are they not bombing the forest where the 'bandits' are using as hideout?

Do you see the double standard here? Why won't there be agitation in the country.

  15. Buhari's years as Nigerian president are wasted years in the history of the country. The idiot is a monumental waste to the nation.
This is what Igboho successfully prevented from South West. I hope the Yoruba people would rally round him. I cannot imagine myself paying ransome to some useless people for kidnapping my relatives. I work hard here for my money.
Buhari is an idiot and the most useless president that I have ever know all over the world.
If this imbecile Buhari had not come back as a civilian president, we would not have been able to appreciate Babangida for removing this moron as Head of State. We could now appreciate Babangida.

    1. So Kanu didn't prevent it when aged mothers were captured on video praising God and Kanu for making their farms safe again? Now, I see where your hatred originated from. Even if you hate someone which is understandable, will you also hate their good deed to humanity? You have proven overtime here that you hate good deed. I often don't like engaging you on argument here but I decided to drop this one today to draw your hypocrisy. What difference is Igboho and Kanu that you pitched your tent on the former?

    2. Bruh i'll say yur too blind to see the huge difference between sunday and kanu,Now let me tell you something yur already know about those two fellows..

What on earth should have made people believe the Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho are the same? The only common denominator between the twain is that they are citizens of the same geographical expression called Nigeria and biologically they are both males.lets look at it in details...

Kanu is fighting a war woven around the fact that none of “his People” has been president of Nigeria since after the great Nnamdi Azikiwe was governor-general in the early sixties of the last century. If today the chief tenant at Aso Rock is from the Southeast, Kanu’s problems will be over. This is because every position in the public service and most of the polity will be occupied by “our people”. The quick answer to that however is that it does not necessarily need to reach that level before “our people” are in good place. Remember Anyim Pius Anyim-Secretary to the Federal Government during the Jonathan Presidency? The records are there. “Our People” were there without being president.

Sunday Igboho. His main grouse is that the Fulani who had lived peacefully for decades in areas not their original homes should continue to be good tenants and peaceful neighbours. They should not attempt to confiscate or forcefully take over land and properties that are not their own. Their cattle and other animals should not destroy the lives and properties of their landlords or original owners. They are free to continue with their cultural life creating organic structures but not attempting to take over the land which has been the properties of the host for centuries.

Furthermore, while Sunday Igboho was going around, building support, convincing his Yoruba listeners of the need to have a Yoruba nation, Nnamdi Kanu was busy creating cells of discontent, manipulating issues and spreading hate and malice all over the place. And when his enemies had had enough and reacted, he fled the country and with a dual citizenship, literally waged a war against his homeland from abroad..

Unfortunately, many people buy cheap things, including propaganda laden with lies and fiction. The difference between the two is so glaring. While Igboho is struggling to live in the midst of hostile strangers to his homeland, Kanu is flying from one capital to another in chartered aircrafts. Kanu’s is a dual personality, being half-Nigerian and half-British. Igboho does share his native village with anywhere, not even Oyo town or Oyo State capital. One is a native boy while the other is an “international” figure. So, the story goes! Perhaps the most important issue to note particularly by Kanu is that our brothers in the Southeast are the most mobile in
Nigeria. More than that they settle easily and are happy to live in other areas, with other people in other climes in Nigeria. They settle down that easily and constitute substantial population in places like Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna and most urban areas of our country.

One wonders how their innocent people view the escapades of our man Nnamdi Kanu. By all means, the federal government should safeguard the integrity of our country...

    3. Then you know nothing about Kanu. Remember he's a king and British citizen. He has all it takes for a good life. I wouldn't want to say further than this, it would be futile schooling you on what you don't know.

      Good day.

    5. Iyke Desmond, I comment once in a while, but I visit this blog, read comments and leave, I only comment once in a while! Nnamdi Kanu's problem is not that his people have not been president nor that his people are not occupying any position! If you know Nnamdi Kanu, you will understand that he has been operating radio Biafra for more than ten years now! When they came with Igbo presidency earlier this year, which saw governor Umahi and his likes to defect to the APC, Nnamdi Kanu in his broadcast told Igbos to ignore them. He outlined the uselessness of it all and gave them example of Nnamdi Azikiwe and the rest of both Igbo and none Igbo president what they had achieved for their people. I still have that his broadcast of April. He even used the Northerners as an example of uselessness of being president because their place is still the most backward even after producing almost all the presidents! In fact, some of our political leaders in the south east are angry with him because they feel he is pouring sand inside the ambition of the south east getting a president with what he is saying. Nnamdi Kanu had always been agitating for Biafra even during GEJ's tenure that evenly distributed appointments to every area. At least GEJ government was very fair to all, yet Nnamdi Kanu was still agitating for Biafra! The last time I checked asking for inclusiveness is not morally nor politically wrong. That said, you are totally wrong and biased, Kanu went on self exile when the military came to his father's palace to kill him, in the process killed 28 people. He ran for his dear life because he has a vision, only visionless people commit suicide! Kanu was in Nigeria advocating for Biafra before the military invasion of his home in Umuahia. So you saying that you said up there is like knowing something and hiding the truth! Now that the same military or DSS went to Igboho's house didn't he run and was caught processing his visa to depart to Germany? Unlike what you said up there, Kanu from his location mobilized ESN who fought away fulani killer herdsmen who invaded forests in Biafra land! Now, no fulani can dare step foot in the forests in the east to terrorize poor farmers. Kanu's mission is that Nigeria has expired, and he is unapologetic about it! Nigeria was created by Lugard in 1914 and was given the name 'Nigeria' by Lugard's girl friend. In the amalgamation treaty which was signed by six people, not included all tribes of the country, because they opposed it I guess, it stated that after 100 years, if the amalgamated people decide to break up, they are free to do so, if they are want to still be together, they can decide to do so. 2014 was the 100th year of the amalgamation and Kanu is saying we want out! So Nigeria should call a conference where every body can say their minds and decide if they still want to stay or not. If they still want to stay, then there should be conditions of staying together, otherwise let people go their separate ways! If Igbo wants to go, let them go, they are not doing anything for you! The five states of Igbo extraction want to go, let them go! Using guns and AK47 cannot keep who wants to go! A husband/wife who wants to leave a marriage will still leave, or they stay like they are not there! Deep.
