The song was featured on the Academy’s platform, ‘Press Play At Home’ to promote fast-rising artistes.
Laycon who spoke about the development in an interview with Channels Television, said his fees have increased.
''I appreciate this and I am grateful. It means a lot to me and my price just went up. There is something particular about this because I have always been saying that I do afro-rap; I fuse rap into African sounds in a way that appeals to people that listen to it. I do not do ordinary rap or rap about things that are Afrocentric. I do things that you can relate to and have a dialogue about and that is what I call afro-rap.”

His Hit song? Ok.
ReplyDeleteWell done Laycon.
On facebook, I saw a video of bbn,of a girl lashing out at this boy. Its the only reason i know the boy, plus the girl got disqualified. This young man should pay that girl something for blowing him up, adding to his popluarity, till he got to this level. That token will be repaid million times over. Those who know, surely knows
DeleteAnon 14:52, in my humble opinion, he owes her NOTHING. Laycon had been viewers' favourite from the first week. If Erica didn't do what led to her disqualification, I believe she could have made it to the finals - but, she wouldn't have won. You can google the voting charts to see for yourself. Erica was a strong contender. She might have ended up as the first or second runner up. But, Laycon would have won hands down still.
DeleteKudos to laycon the winners winner.
ReplyDeleteOur winner, bbn greatest winner of all time. #goated
Say what you want about BBN but the platform is such a huge one that mames stars. Well done laycon for making good use of it to your advantage
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteWell done Leycon!
DeleteWhich hit song?
ReplyDeleteI am wondering too
DeleteSince he left the house, I have not heard any song, let alone hit song.
Abimbola and Gifty, that means you guys have been sleeping/deaf all these while. It's time wake up and look/ listen around, okay?
DeleteInstead of talking down on his achievements, try and google na. Stop making a fool of yourselves.
DeleteBefore he performed for Grammy, they must have listened and certified that the song is worth being posted on their pages.
You cannot hear the hit song because of the condition of your heart. Hahaha but we move! Kiddos Laycon. Up up you go
DeleteAbimbola and Gifty, you guys should stop living in denial. Like Miss Aboki said down there, Grammy heard it, and that's what really matters here.
DeleteFall for me, fierce, verified feat mayorkun. At least I know these ones and I’m not even his fan and never watched BBN. He has been doing very well for himself, with over 40 million streams across all platforms for his album. He is one to watch
DeleteReally? I have never paid attention to his works so I don't know any of his songs.
DeleteWhen I want to feel sexy fierce I play Fierce.............. π
DeleteWell done laycon
ReplyDeleteWhat about your fake friendship with nengi? Don't tell me you guys are tired of faking it already
ReplyDeleteWhy are you so bitter.
DeletePlease drink water and mind your business.
This post is about Laycon and his musical career not about any friendship.
11:40,
DeleteEven in the house, there was an easy rapport between them. So let this go yea?
Some fans live on drama and would prefer if these people feud rather than have peace.
Shame on you.
My Lay Lay. Amazing guy so happy for him. He drinks water and minds his business. No ranting up and down, no clout chasing..Well done. The performance was mad btw...Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteNice one Laycon.
ReplyDeleteMy only misgivings about you is your dressing, your stylist is a low key hater.
I am YET to see you shine in your outfit!
Please look into it.
Is that tiannah and when people comment about it, she gets upset instead of taking corrections
DeleteWhere is the hit song? I haven't heard it
ReplyDeleteOpen your ears more, sogbo?
DeleteWell, Grammy heard itπ
DeleteWell, Grammy heard itπ
DeleteVery well written Miss Aboki. Grammy heard it. And Grammy we know, kcc, we don't know.
DeleteThe Grammy performance is amazing. Very clean video. I love it. Laycon will always be a winner.
ReplyDeleteFor those asking for his hit song, please send a memo to the Grammy board to tender your request.
ReplyDeleteThey must have seen something that appealed to them. It doesn't necessarily have to appeal to you and I.
Congratulations Laycon. Keep pushing your craft.
Congratulations Laycon, keep soaring high.
ReplyDeleteOf Lay Lay Lay, congratulations, you are a true definition of success

Over 40 million streams for his album. Google it. This winner actually has the talent for longevity
DeleteAnon 15:13, you didn't just compare Efe with Laycon... Lols. Laycon can sing! And rap, too!
DeletePlease I have a question, as I am confused here...
ReplyDeleteDoes Nigeria have a Grammy award?
Thanks.
