BBNaija Season 5 Winner Laycon Says His Performance Fees Have Increased After Grammy Performance

Laycon, the winner of the 2020 BBNaija reality TV show delivered a brief but impressive performance of his hit song, ‘All over me’, from his latest album, Shall We Begin.
The song was featured on the Academy’s platform, ‘Press Play At Home’ to promote fast-rising artistes.

Laycon who spoke about the development in an interview with Channels Television, said his fees have increased.

''I appreciate this and I am grateful. It means a lot to me and my price just went up. There is something particular about this because I have always been saying that I do afro-rap; I fuse rap into African sounds in a way that appeals to people that listen to it. I do not do ordinary rap or rap about things that are Afrocentric. I do things that you can relate to and have a dialogue about and that is what I call afro-rap.”

    1. On facebook, I saw a video of bbn,of a girl lashing out at this boy. Its the only reason i know the boy, plus the girl got disqualified. This young man should pay that girl something for blowing him up, adding to his popluarity, till he got to this level. That token will be repaid million times over. Those who know, surely knows

    2. Anon 14:52, in my humble opinion, he owes her NOTHING. Laycon had been viewers' favourite from the first week. If Erica didn't do what led to her disqualification, I believe she could have made it to the finals - but, she wouldn't have won. You can google the voting charts to see for yourself. Erica was a strong contender. She might have ended up as the first or second runner up. But, Laycon would have won hands down still.

    3. Instead of talking down on his achievements, try and google na. Stop making a fool of yourselves.

Before he performed for Grammy, they must have listened and certified that the song is worth being posted on their pages.

    2. 11:40,

Even in the house, there was an easy rapport between them. So let this go yea?

Some fans live on drama and would prefer if these people feud rather than have peace.

      Shame on you.

  10. For those asking for his hit song, please send a memo to the Grammy board to tender your request.

They must have seen something that appealed to them. It doesn't necessarily have to appeal to you and I.

Congratulations Laycon. Keep pushing your craft.

Kindly use the same search engine that led you here to educate yourself.

And my response isn't directly related to this post. It's exasperating seeing how truly mind lazy we have become.
