Sad story. May God give their families the strength to bear this shocking news.
The people that said if you must drive, don't drink, and if you drink don't drive, know why they said so. I pray God console their families.
ReplyDeleteI go to a club with you.
DeleteStay for hours most probably during which we drink and scream and get drunk.
Then I enter that same car with you in your drunk state to drive me home.
Ahhhh. Nawa.
I’m not saying I won’t enter, I’m just outlining this whole situation and asking myself that if I was one of those girls, at what point would I have opted out or insisted for another person to drive or for us to hail a cab.
May enjoyment no kill us in Jesus name.
I go to a club with you.

Middle of the night with little or no option to leave the club, you'd most likely tag along.

WhT a pity, celebrating the lifting of the curfew and back to night life. See the end result. May they RIP.
DeleteSamurai have some much needed common sense. Very silly and irrelevant hashtag at a time like this.
DeleteWho told you introverts dont go to clubs?
Who told you they weren't celebrating something and just decided to do something different?
Rest in piece young ones!

DeleteMay their souls Rest In Peace. Very sad.
ReplyDeleteMay their souls rest in peace. Lives wasted just like that. Don't drink and drive they won't listen. I pity their parents.
ReplyDeleteOh Lord. Such a terrible thing. May God comfort their families.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad. May the departed Rest In Peace and may God tfives the families left behind the fortitude to bear this great loss
ReplyDeleteHmmmm... Na wah ooo.. Drunk driving. Few minutes of enjoyment has caused them their lives.
ReplyDeleteMay their soul rest in peace.
May their souls rest in peace... Just few days after the governor lifted curfew ban... Please if you must go to club, sleep over or better still stay in ur car or order Uber to take you home...
ReplyDeleteOr go with someone that can drive and doesn't drink, just there to have fun and dance
DeleteThis is so sad. Reminded me of an accident in Jos, that claimed the lives of some students, returning from a party. One was a final year law student. Same thing.. Drunk driver, rammed into a disabled truck.
ReplyDeleteMay God rest their souls. May God grant their families peace.
Immediately Wike lifted the curfew, boom! offioh. To the point of getting drunk? Dear fellow young people, let us be taking it easy so that we'd all live to flex another day bikonu. Very tragic incident, couldn't watch the graphic video. RIP to them. May God help their families because this is really terribly hear breaking.
ReplyDeleteOne body was badly damaged to the point of brains pouring out, he had to be buried the nxt day. The stories I've heard about that Kelvin isnt pleasant at all, but may their souls rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteOne persons poor choice and recklessness can cause tragedy for others, wrong crowd has never brought anything positive.
A wise 98yr old man said " You cant keep clean reputation hanging out with messy people" ...he ws right.
My friend escaped death by a whisker! He was to join Kelvin that night to the club but he changed his mind and look at. Heard 700k was found in the car and was of course stolen by touts.
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad and unfortunate. May the souls of the departed Rest in Peace
Where did a student get that kind of mny from?
DeleteYahoo boy
DeleteMay God comfort their families and their souls rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteNever liked clubbing. Though how sweet the fun is, nature will always take its cause. Sleep and tiredness creeps in. So sad
The 2nd hand smoke
DeleteClosed air environment
Tampering with sleep cycles with long term health effects
Overpriced drinks
Nasty overtures

When the "wavers" want population lower?

ReplyDeleteYears back,we gathered ourselves from school and went to Alesh Hotel for a birthday party which turned out to be a night party at the club.
We enjoyed ourselves and we were so drunk which we all knew that but I was led by the spirit not to tag along the same bus we came with(We went to the club with over 6buses including SUG bus which I was the driver).
I opened up to them and told them,I won't be able to drive else we have to wait till 7am to make my eyes clear but they refused. I alighted and gave them the key and called my then lover to alight and we paid for room and what happens in the room becomes a story for another day.
It was exactly 5:30am when my phone rang and was informed that they all had an accident on the 3rd main land bridge, that, it was the guide on the bridge that stopped the bus,if not, they would have been in that water.
I thought the caller was joking u til I left the hotel around 9am in the morning and off to campus,on getting to akoka, I saw some of my course mate telling me that most of them on that bus are receiving treatment at gbagada general hospital. I got there and wept, cuz some had their head stitched, some had their back stitched, to make the matter worst, some had to allow the doctor cut out off the flesh they have on their yansh to fill some part of their body.
Since then, have always being giving thanks to God and I don't ever try to drink while driving or drive while drunk
Wow! Thank God for the spirit of discernment. Thank God your friends didn’t die in the accident. God be praised on your behalf
DeleteAfter Two bottles of Guinness i am wasted, cant imagine myself driving.
ReplyDeleteRIP to the departed.
2 bottles??? Just 2 bottles? LMAO. Anyways it's good you know your limit.
Delete2 bottles good na, half bottle de work me, I have light head
DeletePlease if you go to club with friends, let the one driving not drink please, either ways, order for uber to take you guys home. Everyone shouldn't be drunk, one person should be sane, incase something happens. Such a pity
ReplyDeleteRIP to them
Honestly. My group of friends we take turns being the DD (designated driver). Or get a cab.
DeleteRest in peace to the departed. Really sad
It's so sad. These things happen all the time and people need to realize that drinking and driving don't go together.
ReplyDeleteI remember the day I got a call from my friend saying that I overtook him and drove dangerously one night on my way home. I didn't even realize it. I was coming from a sitout with my friends where we had so much to drink.
I dey run away from drinks now.
My life is precious abeg

DeleteAbsolutely nothing dey alcohol!
Oh dear! Young lives watsed like this. I can imagine what their parents are passing through. They were all probably drunk, they should have parked the car and called uber or lodge in a nearby hotel till daybreak. RIP young souls.
ReplyDeleteOh my God..
ReplyDelete5 young souls gone like that.
Beautiful young people gone like that. One too much. Pls night crawlers should learn from this.Drinking and driving has always been the history of stores like this.
ReplyDeleteThis is heartbreaking 💔
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to their families
This is heart broken.
ReplyDeleteYou see person with dada driving. Na I'm you enter. Ogbeni na you kill yourself. Any non-celebrity wearing dada/braids is an irresponsible goat.
ReplyDeleteYou clearly are a close minded person. Very ignorant comment.
DeleteAnd also a wicked comment to make given the circumstance.
