Sacked Pastor Reveals How His Colleagues Send In Fake Attendance Figures And Fake Offerings To Keep Their Jobs

One of the pastors of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, who was recently dismissed, has explained how some of his colleagues were sending fake church attendance figures and church offerings to the state headquarters so as to keep their jobs – a practice which some of them could not do.

The pastor, in his account obtained by SaharaReporters, stated that the pastors who indulged in the act had a parley with some of the senior church ministers, who deducted part of their (the pastors’) salaries and remitted back to the church as offerings of the non-existent congregation.

The pastor, who did not want to mention his name to avoid victimisation, added that the practice was called “wisdom” since the founder, Bishop David Oyedepo, was not able to go round and ascertain the authenticity of the figures and offerings being entered into the records.

He said, “Well, they (Living Faith) planted over 10,000 churches before the end of 2020 and they celebrated it. After this were the different issues of no church hall and other necessary materials for the pastors to work. But some senior Pastors keep telling lies that we (the employed pastors) should be patient with them.

“While this was going on, we must send reports of the churches to the headquarters through the area church. This was so that they would believe the church existed. Now, guess what number a pastor without church hall would send.

“But wisdom was what the senior pastors were asking us to use because, Oyedepo could not be everywhere to check. What wisdom was that? Send good figure as the number of the attendance of your assembly; then put money to it from your salary. At the end of the month, half of the money you put would still be paid back to you to support the church you claimed existed. Nobody would ask you how you spend it and all your needs will be attended to quickly from the state headquarters.

“They call it father and son relationship in the Winners family. It is not by mouth but by envelopes that have cash inside. All these were what we were facing; no church hall and other things but attendance must prove that the church was growing.

“Those of us who could not do that were called lazy, fools, unfruitful, and so on.”

SaharaReporters had on Friday reported that the pastors said they were being a net salary of only N38,000 as against the over N150,000 being rumoured in some quarters.

Where are you calling "the House of the Lord?"
      Please do not insult the Lord Jesus whom we worship. He said;
"The foundation of the LORD'S HOUSE stands sure with this inscription; the Lord knows
those that are his, let they that name the name of the Lord depart from iniquity..." 2 Tim. 2:19

Please, the Lord's house is not any physical structure, it is a people, a holy people, a spiritual house (1 Pet. 2:2-9)

Church is a business, whether we like to believe it or not. When it was charitable has gone. Somebody pointed out that the house if God is us.

If the Country is good, hear me, they will not see anybody in their midst to deceive. How many will go to church to cast out village people? How many will be in Night Virgil to pray against an anonymous spirit?
How many will be praying for husband's? The Country is bad and it is affecting our young men from making it on time to marry.
Many of the problems that took us to Church is government induced wahala, and can't be solved in Church.

If this Country is good, we will have few Churches.

Amarachi with C. you have said it all.

God help me but I done tire for church biz in Nigeria.

The government is the problem that we seek answers to and we go to the church instead of getting an accountable government.

      I am tired jor.

    7. @Amarachi, @Mao: The people in the government you are both blaming are your relations, neighbors, friends, etc. They are not from space! This country will be good when WE, the people, decide to be good. When we are “accountable” in our private lives then we can insist on accountability from those in government. The fight against corruption is not that of Buhari alone! As someone said in a post above, when you knowingly pass off fake goods as original you are corrupt. You therefore have no moral rights to complain about other people’s corruption or even lament about “government induced wahala”!

They give him envelopes after service, they have changed his cars twice within 4yrs of being here.

Infact they have changed his assistants 3times but he is still here cos apparently he "sorts" a senior pastor to remain.

From what I gather, LFC changes pastors every 2yrs or so...I guess he's really enjoying the "fruits" of his "labor".

I doubt Bishop knows how his church is being run. So many allegations of fraud and sexual harassment in this same branch and they cover it up.

      @Slim Shaddy,
Yeshua was a Jew because his religion is Judaism.

    6. Chike TEFLON you are CONFUSED.COM!🤣🤣🤣

14:04 and Slim Shaddy even tried to enlighten you but you are still spitting confusion. 🤣

The disciples of Christ were first called "Christians" (Christ-like) in Antioch. Acts 11: 19-26.

Some 'wolves' claim to be Christians just to deceive and extort the IGNORANT.

Jesus Christ himself warned about these pretentious wolves. Matthew 7 v 15-16.

Apostle Paul warned about ravenous wolves that will infiltrate Christian fold and not spare the flock. Acts 20 v 29.

Christanity is not religion. CHRISTIANITY is the life of Christ manifestly lived out by His true followers.

Mind you, I am saying this with my full chest. Oyedepo believes he is "wisdom", but what he seems not to be aware of is, some of those guys are "wisdomer". Goodness me! They know how to get the correct amount of salaries bishop is suppose to be paying them. They said "me" is not smart bcoz I stopped playing along with their shenanigans, called me a "woman", and are celebrating in their closet cos we refuse to indulge in the pleasures of Egypt.
To the "honest" and "hardworking" pastors who were sacked, remember, success is the best form of revenge. Do your best not to remain bitter towards Oyedepo or the members of his church. That ll be unchrist-like. Work hard at whatever area of life you chose to work in. Remember, God is the only true judge.

WHO SET THE TARGETS FOR THE PASTORS?

IS THE BISHOP NOT SPIRIT-FILLED AGAIN?
Does he not pray and receive revelations from God?

Anointing flows from the top similarly, the wrong things flow from the top.

When you scatter branches everywhere and set targets for soul-winning and offering collection, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?

Go ask target-driven banks how their marketers are groaning under the weight of humongous targets? Most of them have become devious to survive in the 'jungle' as the pastors mentioned in this post.

Besides, I hope he sent his own children to those missionary outposts to lead the work of the ministry?

Jesus Christ testified of John the Baptist in the wilderness - a prophet indeed and GREATER THAN A PROPHET, and NOT THOSE THAT WEAR SOFT RAIMENT

Matthew 11:8 "But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, THEY THAT WEAR SOFT CLOTHING ARE IN KINGS' HOUSES"
