    1. This is a case of one mans meat is another’s poison. People have been eating donkey meat from time immemorial.. it’s cheap and brought from the north to the south, east and west. It’s very hard and u have to cook for long. And besides donkey is meat just like cow , same way the calabars eat dogs, cat and other tribes will say God forbid

    2. Donkey and Horse meat is not recommended because their muscle has a high level of toxins (heavy metals) which is very dangerous for humans; they have high toxin-absorbance rate not fit for consumptions. Plus they are administered dangerous chemicals or drugs due to the fact that they are not normally raised for consumption..

  4. Was it a sick donkey?

What's the need for the arrest?

Donkey isn't bushmeat Jeweluchi... Bush meat is the flesh of animals that live in the wild. E.g antelope, deer, Buffalo etc.

    1. Anonymous 13:56, so what's the difference between those you mentioned and donkey? Why are those you mentioned acceptable to eat and not donkey? I am sincerely asking. If anyone knows why please comment below. Thanks.

  5. I bought some kpomo and when I was washing it,was seeing some white tissues that looks like fat at the folded/interior side. I said to myself this doesn't look like our normal kpomo, smells too and I returned it.

Guess what, the woman didn't even give me my money back and I waka.

People should be very careful in buying and eating kpomo now. I have stopped buying but when I'm ready, will go to where the slaughter cows and buy then roast it myself.

Big wahala dey Naija. God take the lead.

But killing a donkey for food? That's sad.

Once, i accidentally witnessed a cow being killed, it was horrible! Swore off beef right there!

Wish i can say i'm now a vegetarian.
The very next day i was stuffing my face with beef😩😩... well i hope it was beef.

  11. Donkey meat is not approved by the Edo state ministries of agriculture and health. Since the days of Midwest Region, they have been campaigning against eating donkey meat. If your state sees nothing wrong with eating Jakin good for you. Those who bring the meat to Edo state under the cover of darkness know they are going against the laws of the state.

  13. The thing with Jaki meat is that some ignorant persons think they are buying beef. Some know exactly what they are buying. It's cheaper and the colour appears darker and black after cooking. It's tricky anyway.
People who sell it don't stay in same area where beef sellers stay, so it's easy to identify.

Sincerely till today, l still can't figure out the animal the meat was from.
    They kept telling us bushmeat.
