Big Brother Star Uriel Says Getting Married Is Not An Achievement After A Fan Told Her ''Go And Marry You Are Old''

Big brother naija star Uriel Oputa posted a video where she reacted to being called out for not being married...

She said;

I posted a video and I read the dumbest comment "go and marry you are old" and I looked freaky sexy in that video ain't gonna lie and the only thing you can say was "go and marry you are old" I know my age I'm not old, what if I don't want to get married, is it by force to get married? I come from a place you can never in your wildest dreams have a passport, United Kingdom. I'm established there, I'm about to get established in Nigeria, and you open your dirty mouth to ask why I'm not married?

Listen, being married is not an achievement for me.

There are a lot of married women who want to get out of their marriages. I can wake up tomorrow and say I wanna have a kid and if I do that I owe no one an explanation. If you know me , I am a free spirit person, I don't role with girls , cliques. I do what I want and what I please.

Marriage is not an achievement for me, if I meet the right guy, so be it but if not I'm not subjected to the ideology that says a "Nigerian woman has to be this.." not me I grew up in a different ball game''.

    1. I think she's speaking from a place of hurt, the trolls should also understand that words hurt, especially something that is not people's fault or something they can't change. Not everything is cruise.

    2. Anon 14:20 she just gave trolls more fire to attack her. Alot of trolls are miserable, live in squalor, have shitty or non existent relationship and see the anonymity of social media as a way to pass frustration and Make people feel as low as they are. To them it is like blowing off steam, they see celebs as easy targets for such sick entertainment since the chances of that comment being found out of thousands of comments are low

    1. Calm down. Having a UK passport is an achievement o. You have access to opportunities the average Nigerian doesn't. That being said, she's only addressing people who are using marital status to insult her.

    2. Having a UK passport in this present Nigerian economy is a blessing. Do not rubbish her comment. Pick what you want and leave the rest. Simple.

    4. ANG, if e sure you, leave the US and come back to Nigeria and live. It is easy to sound so disconnected and talk about how heaven should be the goal when you live in the comfort of a developed country.
Come down to Nigeria now and live as a regular Nigerian (not IJGB) for one year, then you’ll understand why leaving Nigeria to even Ghana is a goal.

I notice that you always talk like it’s bad for people to want to live abroad, yet you live there comfortably.
You should realize that you were afforded a privilege and many Nigerians want that privilege too, and rightly so. Buhari’s Nigeria is not for the faint hearted

    5. is that why you call yourself Adabeke 😂😂😂😂😂
Nne, which day did I tell you that I live in the USA? I have USA citizenship, yes.
But do I consider that an achievement? No😝😝😝😝😝😝
Nne, Salvation is by the Grace of God, not an achievement too. But keeping your place
in heaven, your name in the book of life is surely an achievement for all eternity because,
it involves work. The Lord says; work out your salvation with fear and trembling...Phil. 2:12
Please living outside Nigeria is not an achievement, get that mindset away from you now for your
      sanity.

Marriage is not an achievement unless you marry the best person for you. NEVER àllow anyone to pressure you to just 'marry'

    2. It's a good thing when u Marry the right person. Not when u are pressured into marry a soul sucking life destroyer. Me I still believe in love because i know I'm worthy of a lasting love. Forget all this breakfast u see people sharing upandan, some people are in sweet marriages and enjoying the thing codedly. We only hear bad ones or only focus on negative cus we like drama. We need to be careful about the examples of marriage we allow ourselves to be exposed to. I used to have so much advice to give posters but at this point I'm tired. All I will say is know what u deserve and accept nothing less.

  5. So UK passport is the achievement?
I wish Christians will always let people know that they are heaven bound because of the blood of Jesus. Telling people that Christ saved you is cool. After all, the Scripture says, let he that boast boast in the Lord. See how people are boasting about vanities.

    1. It is an achievement for those that were born in Nigeria.
She should not compare it with marriage.

    2. To be honest, yes it is an achievement to many people. Grenada citizenship costs about 300k dollars to acquire. Nigerians rushing to US to give birth nko?.
I wish she didnt say it anyways. Cos that particular statement will blanket every perception some people have about you. And in her industry, perception and appearance is everything.
These trolls can push you to the point of talking like a mad person. Imagine saying getting married is not an achievement. It is a huge achievement in it's own right. But it doesnt mean you're not complete without being married. This goes for both sexes .
