DeleteWhen I was younger bridal shower was a get together organized by the friends of the bride AS A SURPRISE PARTY!
DeleteIt could be big or small depending on the strength of the friends. The bride wás to be deceived to the venue and mesmerized the whole time because of the love from her friends and family, then bombarded with questions, games, dance etc, so much fun!!
But these days I see brides organize their own bridal shower and this young lady wearing a dress that looks like a wedding dress already? For God's sake it's a jeans party!!!
To me though, the fun of the bridal shower has been snatched because of "we can afford it" syndrome.
This generation lost!
