In 1982, Adams was administered a dose of anesthesia ahead of a routine knee operation, which caused brain damage.
The 73-year-old played 22 games for the France national team from 1972 to 1976. Jean-Pierre Adams played the majority of his club career with Nice. He played for Nimes from 1970-73. He also made 41 appearances for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain from 1977-79. Adams won 22 caps for Les Bleus in the 1970s. In the 1971-72 season, Adams contributed four goals in all 38 games to help Nimes to a best-ever second place, also winning the Cup of the Alps.
“PSG has lost one of its glorious former players. PSG offers its condolences to his family and loved ones,” the Ligue 1 club said in a statement.

If you ever worked in theatre. You will know there's no such thing as near fatal anesthesia. He unfortunately, didn't respond to the drugs well. Unfortunate but couldn't have been avoided.

ReplyDeleteI had to go read up on his story ystday. Just a routine knee surgery and he never woke up. What moved me was d fact his wife never left him,shes been taking care of him for d past 39yrs....dat is d true definition of in sickness and in health.

The part that waohed me in anoast CNN Interview was when she said she celebrates his birthday days, father's day, anniversaries by bringing gifts for him.

DeleteI am speaking from within my own family. My uncle lost his legs and vision to diabetes and his wife remained with him until he passed decades later. If you have never seen love and loyalty in action personally then that is your misfortune for being born and raised around loveless people. But many of us are living witnesses to Black wives who stood with their husbands through grave health situations and remained loyal and dutiful to them.
