INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

The Bible talks about serving God in the days of your youth. This verse never sunk in when I was single but now that I have kids, the struggle is real.

When I was single I was in three worker’s unit, did all manner of ministers training, would go for impromptu vigils and prayer meetings etc. Now I struggle and to be truthful I have not attended weekly service in so long, I am currently not in any workforce unit.

My first baby hated loud noises, still does and attending church services with loud speakers weren’t helping so most of my time in church, was spent walking as far away from the speakers as possible and calming him down, going to church became a chore, so online service came to the rescue, had my second and the same thing too.

I go out of my way to attend services but when I do, I don’t get to partake in the service like I would like. I really miss those times I would go on evangelism trips and would work in the house of God. It gives me joy knowing I am doing my part in the smooth running of God’s house.

As someone called into the five fold ministry but is not doing any thing about it. I feel restless and wish I could do more for God. My restlessness increased when I had a dream, in the dream I was in heaven and I was given a small apartment as my reward and people around me were given big apartments, I then asked why I was given a small apartment and I was told since I didn’t do much with my calling and talents that was all I was getting. I asked for asked for another chance and promised to serve God whole heartedly henceforth.

This dream came months after my birthday, on my birthday I had friends that one would consider not to be religious at all, calling me and telling me they heard God tell them clearly that I should do something about my calling before it was too late. They have rededicated their lives to God and are now very vibrant because the spiritual encounters they had transformed them.

I am trying to take things a day at a time. Growing up as a Pastor’s daughter, I know first hand the sacrifices, discipline and hard work required to be a genuine minister of God. It’s no child’s play, I have been kind of running away from it all my life.

I was comfortable serving in church but leading is another ball game entirely because to whom much is giving much is expected.

Never say never

PINKYS CORNER

I don't know why some people think they are smarter than he who created them and you call yourself a pastor? It so alarming.

There is this Pastor who was brought to a particular hospital on my street here in IB, he lost a lot of blood and they needed blood for him to survive. I couldn't watch him die so I decided to donate blood to him.

I inquired to know what went wrong, and was told he was coming from a program where he went to preach around 8pm, and on his way home some women stopped him to inform him about a robbery going on along the same way he was on but he replied telling them the Lord is with him.

Yes,. not doubting that, the Lord is with you but not to the extend of you tempting him foolishly.

He got to the spot and was asked to sit on the floor but he refused and they shot him, and left ..The wife was left crying profusely. Immediately the armed robbers left ,he was rushed to a near by hospital and was treated but not to their satisfaction and that was the reason they brought him to the one close to me.

The essence of this writeup is to make us understand that, God cannot be mocked, you can't just decide to test God, even the Apostles in the bible never did that (I don't know if am right) and even if they did, it has to be on God's decision and direction.

Let's stop fooling ourselves, because you serve God or you are a pastor doesn't mean you can't be tampered with by witches and wizards.

Abraham was tried and tested, Job went through hell.

Be warned.

Errrrrrr, Okies!

    4. Okpa is made from ground bambara beans and is high in protein. The original okpa you can get at Ngwo/9th/Opi/Nsukka axis. The one you get in Lagos/Abuja and other big cities are mostly adulterated and could cause some health issues.

  9. If you travel by air a lot, beware of over friendly chatty seat neighbours.

The older lady comes and sits next to me inside the plane. She asked me to help her put her bag in the overhead luggage compartment. But a gentleman sitting across quickly came through. (I am not very tall and the overhead luggage compartment is something I try to avoid at all costs.
Immediately she sits down she strikes up a conversation. She was very pleasant and well spoken. So we chatted all through the flight to Dubai.
Suddenly, when the pilot announced that we were now proceeding to begin our descent into DXB, my good friend 'developed' stomach pains. Me with my good heart, I pressed the stewards button, and the stewardess came to find out what the problem was. I told her my seat mate was not feeling well. And this lady, she suddenly began to address me as 'my daughter'. The stewardess told me that there was nothing they could do except give her some painkillers and wait until we landed. The pilot announced that we had a medical emergency on board and advised us all to stay calm. My new friend was crying and sweating like crazy. And she refused to let go of my hand... everyone assumed we knew each other.
So we land at DXB and the same gentleman who helped put up her luggage in the overhead compartment removed her luggage. But as he removed the luggage, he advised me to distance myself from this lady and make it clear to the cabin crew that we were NOT travelling together. He was a godsend!
So indeed, the cabin crew came and asked me if we were related, I categorically told them we had met on the plane. I didn't know her at all. So we began to deplane and as I said goodbye she kept begging me to carry her handbag. I was so torn... but the gentleman looked me in the eye and emphatically shook his head. He passed me a note telling me to let the cabin crew handle her.
So I exit the aircraft and leave my 'new friend' to wait for the wheelchair and be handled by the cabin crew feeling very guilty.
As we waited for our luggage to come through, I hear this commotion. My 'new friend' was running, trying to escape the cabin crew, having gotten out of the wheelchair! She left the stewardess with her handbag and just ran towards the exit with the rest of her hand luggage! Luckily the airport police were faster than her. They got hold of her and brought her back in handcuffs.
This lady starts calling out to me.. my daughter... my daughter!.. how could you do this to me..... that's when I caught on. She was carrying drugs and she was trying to implicate me!
Luckily for me, the gentleman who had helped her with her luggage came forward and told the airport police that me and her had just met on the plane. The police took my passport and asked her to reveal my full names if it was true we were travelling together. By God's grace, I had not even told her my first name! I was still asked to follow the police to a little room where I was questioned extensively. Where did I meet her?... where did I board... where did she board. Etc... And my luggage was extensively searched and dusted for fingerprints.
They dusted all her luggage and my fingerprints were not found anywhere on her luggage or on her handbag!
I was let go with advice never ever to touch anyone's luggage either in flight or at the airport. So from that day, I don't care how much luggage you have, you will deal with it yourself. I will not even offer you a trolley to put your luggage on! Your luggage... your problem.... is my policy. And if you can't reach the overhead compartment, and I am the nearest person, please call the cabin crew because all I will do is give you a blank stare and then look away!

A lesson to glean therein for intending air travelers.

Let me tell you my story so you can learn something.
When I lived in Lagos, my house was on mainland while I worked in a company on the Island.
As a married woman with a kid,
I would wake up by 4:am, make a quick lunch and pack for myself, hubby and daughter, take tea with two slices of bread and leave home by 5:30am.
My little daughter would still be sleeping. My mum was living with me, she would bath her and dress her up for school, give her breakfast and drop her in school. The school was a trekkable distance from home.
I would get to my workplace on the Island by past 7:am and would sleep in the office till 8:am when work starts.
Closing time was 5:pm, I would get to bus stop and wait for bus till 6:pm sometimes, get into traffic and arrive home at night, like 9:pm sometimes, my daughter would have gone to sleep. Don't even ask me when I used to go to bed.
I didn't last 6months on the job. I had to quit cos I was getting thinner everyday due to stress, my daughter's education was suffering as my mum could not help with her homework. Nothing beats it when your workplace is not too far from where you live even if the pay is small. I had to look for a big school around my neighborhood to work as a teacher cos I didn't want to sit at home. The pay was not all that but I regained my normal weight and shine, my child, my home, even sex life😁 improved.

  21. A Wise Man once said

I have tasted all that is sweet , but I found nothing sweeter than good health.

I have tasted all that was bitter , but nothing was more bitter than being in need of good people.

I have carried both iron and rocks , but nothing was heavier than debt.

I have discovered therefore that , life is comprised only of two days. A day for you and a day against you!.

So , when it is your day , do not be reckless . And when the day is against you, be patient. Because, both days will end/expire.

If you cannot be a bridge to connect people , do not be a wall to separate them.

If you cannot be a light to brighten people's good deeds; do not be darkness covering their efforts.

If you cannot be water to help people's crops sprout, do not be a pest destroying their crops.

If you cannot be a vaccine to give life, do not be a virus to terminate it.

If you cannot be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, then try to be a nice eraser to remove their sadness```
