See how you totally missed the point? Someone is referring to herself as "queen, befitting for a queen"
How many times have you see for e.g. Agbani do that? Is this lady more queenly that Agbani?
How about queen Elizabeth? You see, queens do not go around on social media chanting "I am a queen;" do they?

    3. I know she was a beauty queen but most times you don't have to be a titled queen to call yourself one or feel like one. So it's plausible she wasn't making a reference to that.

She called herself a Queen and that house a 'manor' judging by your mode of reasoning, is that house really also a manor?

Is she more queenly than agbani?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ why the comparison? not everyone would be an imitation of someone else. People are different. let's respect those differences.

Besides, I don't think she is competing with anyone for a crown or title at this point in her life. Just loving up on herself and overly excited she achieved a huge feat.
Some people do not concede to false humility.

    1. Forget that thing, she still has Nigeria blood in her. When you convert the amount she bought the house to NGN, you'll understand why she has to display it for us (her naija fans) to see.

      Congratulations to her.

Depends on location. That house there in the south may be cheap but I think she lives on the coast which is very expensive.

  5. A friend of mine discussed this last week, and since it's a related topic, I want to hear other people's opinions too.

Can a person truly be said to own a house if it was bought through a mortgage?! My response is "not really", because, although you do put down a partial payment, if you miss a few payments to the loan-lender, the home can easily go into foreclosure. If a property can be repossessed, then it was never owned to begin with. Or?

    I'm open to other views.

    1. I agree with you. You own the home as long as you're able to make your mortgage payments. There are even instances where after paying off the mortgage, a house can be repossessed e.g. if you can no longer afford property tax.

    2. I see it as you own a certain percentage of the house (your equity), whilst the bank owns the remaining.

Best thing I did this year was pay off my mortgage, I can't thank God enough for that. The glory to Him.

    3. I believe you own a share of it, at the minimum the deposit you paid towards it and all the mortgage payment you make are towards your share.
Yes, owning a house on mortgage can sometimes feel like what's the point, but if you manage to pay it off earlier, you own it, you can sell it or rent it out.

    4. You can still sell or rent out a property even when the mortgage hasn't been paid off.

    3. Haba, then how much are surgeons making? This is why relatives think people abroad are stingy. Please don't believe every salary scale you see on Google. Even with COVID-19, it wasn't that wild for most nurses as they were already on fixed salary scales.

First they are voluntary information and people exaggerate or lie, second your taxes and deductions can be as high as 45% of the amount you make and thirdly I don’t know a nurse that makes that kind of money. 11. Congratulations to u, Regina. I blv u've worked hard for it.

I personally don't like wooden houses. They tend to look a bit gloomy.

  12. Half info is as bad as wrong info. We have bills here too. Things work because there is accountability. I fill my gas tank with $80 if it’s completely empty, yam is $12 for a small half spoilt tuber, electricity, gas, City or garbage bills all have to be paid. The difference is that if you are legal, there is a safety net which would have been possible for the poor if the money did not go to corrupt officials and friends. My Ghanaian friend says they say “America is 14 miles from paradise”. It’s the same distance, JESUS.
