PINKYS CORNER

For security purposes, I will withheld the location and names in this brief event.

Three days ago, a man who sells apple went to buy in bulk as usual so that he can resell them .Whenever he wants to buy, he buys 5-6 cartons because he noticed recently that sales have increased.

So three days ago, he went as usual to buy 5cartons and when he brought them to the market to display, the first two cartons he opened was not apple but sealed dollars ,he was shocked. He opened the second one, it was also the same thing(i.e, he bought 5cartons of apple but saw 3cattons of apple and two cartons of dollars).

He was shocked or let's say scared, then he took the currency to the bank close to the market to confirm if it was fake or original (mind you, he didn't take just one parcel, he carried the two cartons to the bank). The bank manager asked him to wait then called the police who came to pick up the guy. He was locked up and bailed the second day which was two days ago.

Information reaching us now is that the Bank manager and the DPO have reached an agreement for sharing the money because they found out it's original currency (this information is coming from the right source in the said bank).

If you were the one, what would you have done when you see such money?

WOW......I dont even know what to say......

MUST READ MEMO TO THURSDAY CHRONICLE POSTER

Dear poster, always pray before you make decisions. I know you said you don't like the Okada guy, and that's okay, yes too we all have tastes. Let me tell you a story that happened in my family, this time, their my mother's last born, which is my mom's youngest sister who grew up in our house until she moved to uni and moved out.

She was moving with some high-class chicks in uni, of course, cos she was beautiful. One day just like you now, a man driving a bike saw her and made his intentions known, although in this case he was a graduate with no job, and just riding Okada to keep body and soul. Her gorgeous friends were making gest of her, even she herself went into a God forbid moment.

Somehow, she was broke and decided to add Okada man to her maga list, hiding him from her friends while milking him. She said each time Okada man came looking for her cos he eventually he found her house, she was heavily ashamed. Behold, there was something so special about uncle Okada, he treated her better than all the rich men she had ever being with, including washing of pant, what we refer to as poor man's loyalty. I know this cos they have been married for close to 12 years now and they gist and crack jokes out of it.

One thing led to another, and my Mom's sister fell pregnant and moved into uncle Okada's small house, of course her big friends were embarrassed, and left her to her fate. Most of the ladies even got married to big men, and most even relocated abroad abi.

Now let me tell u something, my name is Onyemaechi, in Igbo means "Who knows tomorrow" sister, let me answer you "only God."

My Mother's sister birthed the baby, of course, they were not married but cohabitating. It was as though the doors of fortune was kicked open. Uncle Okada got a job, they moved to a better house, Uncle Okada started land business, he was making sales like never before, uncle Okada bought their first small car, Uncle Okada, sold one big land, bought a their own land in the place called Rayfield In Jos, go and ask, Rayfield's is the Maitama of Jos.

Uncle of Okada man, that got Okada man a job, got a Govt. job, for my mother's sister, say jack, he had built the house and they moved in 3 years ago. Today, they own 3 houses, 2 in Jos and 1 in Abuja. All their kids have landed in their names. They have 4 kids, 3 cars, all these happened in 12 years.

Now, let me not leave out one part, the part of her high-class friends. 1 is divorced, 1 a widow, the other, marital crises all the time, these are the ones she gists about. I forgot, he has paid her bride price and helps my mom's brothers financially. She thanks God daily she went with him.

If you don't like the Okada man, let him know and be nice about it. Note that this is not to say you should marry him, and you will be lucky, but to buttress a point to the entire house, that things can change, you can own today and another tomorrow. We should always seek God's face for directions when making decisions.

Nice Narrative but remember that one mans meat is another mans poison

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

Few days ago, I left my toddler for few minutes I think, I dozed of while attending to his brother. In my sleep, I just had this feeling that something was wrong so I woke up with a start and called my son .

What appeared before me, made me groan out loud. He was covered from head to toe in hair cream, he practically emptied the whole container on himself. I grabbed his hands to go clean him up, while telling him “hair cream, no no" for him to know it was out of bounds for him.

As we walked to the bathroom, I noticed the walls were covered in hair cream too. I sighed loudly, thinking of the cleaning I would have to do around 2 am. I cleaned him up and decided to fix him some midnight snacks as I walked out of the room I noticed he had emptied the shoe rack. I had just rearranged it after a whole week of it being scattered.

I just pretended I didn’t see it because I was so exhausted I could cry, as we left the room to the walk way I stepped on grains of rice, this little man had found a way to take rice from the cabinet and had poured it all over, the dining room, sitting room, everywhere .

I started to wonder how long I had slept. I could have sworn that I was asleep for just five minutes. He had also emptied my cup of tea into the bowl of soup I was eating when I hurriedly left to go and breastfeed his brother. How I didn’t scream at him, I still don’t know.

As I proceeded to talk to him as calmly as I could muster, he started to throw up, he vomited all over his play mat. I had to do another round of cleaning him up, settling him down to sleep and cleaning the whole house again.

This is one of my silence is golden moment.

Oh Dear, I just Imagined the rice all over the floor. Next time if you want to sleep handcuff him to yourself...hahahahahahhahahahaha

NAZARITES INK

So exciting to reconnect with my bestie from tertiary institution after 3 years and I am surprise how things have changed for her. This lady literally disappeared from social media. She's now married to the father of her kid.

In Uni, at resumption, she resumed with her baby. I saw a spark, we immediately connected as friends. She was/is hardworking and a hustler to the core. She singlehandedly financed herself through school.

There were days we would go flag down cars for free lift after lectures because we were broke, there were days we borrowed, there were days we drank garri, sawa was our go-to fish, there were days we slept on campus with empty stomach. Those rough days...

On the day we were to depart, after convocation, She said to me, "Babe, I will not collect my certificate because I will not be needing it.." Haaa... What kind of human being is this? I didn't think anyone would survive life without their university certificate.

Today, she's doing very well for herself. She never went back to the institution to collect her certificate. Surprises me to see how successful she has become, she currently imports spare parts, her baby father who abandoned her came back and married her properly, traditionally and legally. When she was relaying her story, I kept shouting wow! wow! like an ambulance. Such is life..

That thing/person you think is your survival card, you might just not be needing it because you will definitely succeed without it, all you need to do is make up your mind and run with your vision". And the time is now!

Let me join your siren WOW WOW WOW WOW

  12. Peter Schutz, the former chief executive officer of Porsche said: “ *HIRE CHARACTER; TRAIN * .”

Lastly, back in the days when Germany was divided, a huge wall separated East and West Berlin.

One day, some people in East Berlin took a truck load of garbage and dumped it on the West Berlin side.

The people of West Berlin could have done the same thing, but they didn't.

Instead they took a truck load of canned goods, bread, milk and other provisions, and neatly stacked it on the East Berlin side.

On top of this stack they placed the sign:

    *“EACH GIVES WHAT HE HAS"*

How very true! You can only give what you have.

What do you have inside of you?
Is it *hate* or *love* ?
    *Violence* or *peace* ?
    *Death* or *life* ?
*Capacity to build* or *capacity to destroy* ?

What have you acquired over the years?
*Team spirit* or *pull down* architecture ?

    *"EACH GIVES WHAT HE HAS"*

    *Think about it!*

Your mother's sister did not seek God's face before marrying the okada man na, it happened through mistake, she wouldn't have married him like that. Also, the man in your narrative was educated , a graduate, the chronicle poster of yesterday did not indicate if the okada man in her own case had higher education. I wouldn't advice an educated lady to marry an illiterate okada rider. Forget prospects or ambition, prospects and ambition and opportunities thrive with preparation.
Last last, everybody has their own taste and choice. Let them go for their taste.

  15. I just finished talking a friend of mine who isn’t based in Nigeria out of buying her 9 year old daughter in Nigeria, an Android (internet enabled) phone since she would have absolutely no one to supervise the usage of that phone.

She says she has heard and would get her a torchlight phone. I hope she listens and does this because I am really scared of what is on the internet these days

The nine yr old daughter will still see what you don't want her to see in her friends Android phones. I see kids in my compound gather on Sundays checking out stuff on Android phones owned by some of them. They would giggle and laugh. Some of them take these phones to school and bring it out after closing, they would gather at a corner and operate it.
Joy,my 8yr old daughter does not own a even a Torchlight phone but she knows all the games on Android, she knows how to operate Android phones. I don't leave my phone with her in the house. She doesn't touch it except she needs it for an assignment that requires Google which is done under my supervision. So pray, tell, how come she knows these things?
Let us just pray for grace to train these kids and do our best to train them

  20. Let the Chronicles poster not be cajoled into doing what she does not want to do. The okada man in the Chronicles, is he a graduate? One should not marry down. Fact the okada man had guts to ask the poster out is synonymous with men. If you greet a man out of respect consistently, in his mind and psyche, he starts seeing it as green light. Familiarity triggers "will you mind" in the brain of some men.

Poster talked about the okada man as "cool, single..." Are there things she did not say in her chronicles? To have invited him to her house means she has soft spot for the bike man no matter how small. Nothing stopped her refusing on the spot and stop patronizing his services.

There's nothing like "who knows tomorrow". Poster, if you don't like the man, he is below your status, you might not be proud of him, you have always wanted and prayed for a graduate husband or a business man, close this okada man chapter and find another okada man to patronize

Never ever be talked into "giving him a chance" if he's not in any way your choice, level, standard.

Better marry up and regret than marry down and regret.

    Best wishes.

  21. It's really HARD for me to think some people will still be NAIVE in this current Nigeria wey we dey so...really painful! Because I don't understand how you could carry a whole bag of DOLLARS (two bag) go bank just for checking if it is fake? What happened to removing one or ten notes to change to naira just to confirm if it is fake! What happened to that? Kai I'm pained! I won't say anything except that God will judge those two if der eventually did not give the man anything! Serious punishment is awaiting them!

Madam I know that nobody knows tomorrow but have see a situation where the lady did not marry the Okada man and she went ahead to marry another, 15yrs later she and the husband has built and empire for themselves and still happily married with 4 kids, still doing as if dem just married awwww...
But the Okada man is still driving danfo now and a drunkard! Married 4wives and very irresponsible! You might be wondering how I know? The lady in question jam the Okada toaster 7months ago and der had a conversation, she said she even DASH him large amount of money to start up something. So it's not everytime it works that way, the KOKO be say PRAY AND ASK GOD FOR DIRECTIONS.

Part your hair in bits and massage the combo in thoroughly. Then wear a shower cap overnight (this is best done at night). Wash out the next morning and you will be lice-free. This is tested and trusted.

  31. What drives a man is more important than what a man drives for now. It is only in Nigeria I see people literally mock someone for what he/she does to put food on the table. The valley is not a permanent destination even if one was born in the valley. Much more, destiny and the clock of life differs for all. Some make it early, others make it later. Some need a spouse to open their destiny while some already are in their destiny. Never mock anyone who is down today because you do not know the "why" of their being on the floor because it is not certificate, physique, background etc that determines a man's final destination rather fate. This life na only God sabi everything.
