Governor Sanwo Olu's Aide Joe Igbokwe Blames IPOB After His Country Home Was Burnt Down By Unknown Men

On Sunday afternoon, Unknown persons set ablaze the country home of Lagos governor Sanwo Olu's aide Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.....
The Country home is located at Nnewi, Anambra State.

Joe Igbokwe who is based in Lagos State alleged that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB carried out the action.

“IPOB invaded my house in Nnewi about now. I am sure they raised down my house giving the jerrycans of petrol I saw being offloaded from their Sienna car via CCTV.

“To God be the glory . I am still alive. My Study is my greatest regret,” Igbokwe wrote on his known Facebook page.

He has been one of the few prominent Igbo leaders standing firmly against the activities of the secessionist group and had recently accused the IPOB of killing Chike Akunyili husband of late former NAFDAC Director General, Dora Akunyili.

    1. Few days ago he asked federal govt to declare state of emergency in Anambra (so that his APC can rig Anambra election).

Maybe he has chosen to sacrifice his home town since he's already in self-exile if that would bring APC government in Anambra.

A well connected person like Igbokwe is busy watching cctv and writing on Facebook instead of using his connections to call security agencies to arrest the arsonists

    4. I thought that the idea of democracy is that all shades of opinion including even the foolish are allowed to be heard, though we expect the majority will have their way.
Sadly what is happening in the East now is 'you stand with us or die'

    5. Bed and roses, you are supporting IPO-NK if this is your contribution to this discourse. You are supporting the violence and carnage that will eventually visit all those fanning it in the name of "I just dislike x or y". There are also people who dislike you and would want to burn down your property.

It is not by quoting different Bible verses. It is your reaction to things like this that tell people who you really serve. Do unto others as you want done to you. Mourn and rejoice with those who are mourning or rejoicing.

I've said it before but I'll repeat the Yoruba proverb: when you throw a stone into the market, it will hit your relative. The lawlessness and wickedness Teejay and his colleagues supported is what consumed the life of innocent Dr Akunyili and our condolences cannot bring him back for his children. The IPO-NK that was supposed to fight an external evil has now become a nightmare to those they are supposed to protect.

The BH that was supposed to make more northeners Muslims and enshrine Islam is now driving those that supported then into IDP camps and out if their states. The ND freedom fighters turned their own hometowns into kidnapping dens, destroying small businesses across the area, bunkering and spilling oil to build their own private universities outside and driving out peace and investment. You won't believe how many Yorubas were robbed and raped by OPC before they thankfully started to fight among themselves leading to the implosion of the group. Sunday Igboho himself was a political thug who helped Adedibu terrorize fellow Yorubas until he realized he could seek more relevance by standing up against Fulani herdsmen. The rate at which he was encouraging violence against those who pushed for a more civil way to combat things, only God knows what would have happened in the south west.

Those who were shouting for West African borders to be more porous and for Ruga are the ones now paying their Fulani cousins huge ransomes and asking ECOWAS to reduce anonimity and for the government they used to import illegal voters to close the borders. The violence you excuse is at your own risk.

Surely, there is a serious problem of marginalization especially of southerners and christians but petrol can never put out a fire.

  5. Eayah they are just testing the mic. Joe you called them and they answered. Violence is not the way forward. Next time get your facts well before calling names.

    Make Lagos state your village

    1. The same way Dr Chike Akunyili called them? The way the innocent Igbos that have been killed by this cult misplaced their facts?

Violence is never loyal. What you wish in others is what you'll receive in life. Imagine if the violence you are calling by this statement tests the mic on your own property. I'm thankful that someone had the guts to stand up for the late Dr Akunyili even if others were suffering from cowardice. I hope that the sienna won't park in front of your own place, lest you make your present dwelling your village.

    2. Wait, so he called their name and their response was to burn down his house...that actually reinforces his point, they are capable of all sorts. But people like you will refuse to reason. You all deserve what you get.

  6. they are using ipob as an excuse to justify increased militarisation of the south and people are just lapping it up. scattered group of young men were deemed a threat by the government and all of a sudden they are a strong organisation acting the way they've been stereotyped. Unfortunately real guerilla/paramilitary organisations will come out from this

    1. You support IPO-NK. All these "but"s are mere formality that do not hide your list for carnage. You support the destruction of someone else's property, work and sweat. That is the same mentality of an unknown gunman. Imagine a world were people celebrate when something bad happens to people of your tribe or religion- is that not what is going on in Nigeria now? Like attracts like.

    1. Odiegwu! Gutter commissioner, l have no clue whether is IPOB or another miscreants taking advantage of what is happening in Southeast to commit crime. After all, MNK must be charged with something, so they are seriously looking for a name tag to crucify him. If they like, use their boys in disguise to commit all sorts of things to make the international community see IPOB members as Terrorist. It will never work cause they are not blind.
They actually know your Modus operandi.
These was exactly how Tochi came out and was shouting like a mad man that a fan insulted him in order to curry favour of car from people.
Joe you can actually tell your party members to support you in rebuilding your house. You shouldn't be ashamed of your wretched home after insulting your tribe men, still no federal recognition. FFK just entered and was given a red carpet treatment.

Joe, IPOB will never resort to your level. You are a gutter commissioner after all your efforts.
Sometimes, l wonder whether you are from the same town with our Legend, Late Ojukwu.

Many IPOB members are illegally locked, for a year now, and this mumu is busy talking nonsense. How many Fulani Herdsmen that kills people are actually locked up? IPOB that is a peaceful organization is labeled a Terrorist group.
Since ESN was introduced to chase the land grabbers away, we started hearing these "tales by moonlight".

If something bad is happening to the east, it affects us all as Nigerians. Same thing with the west and south. So which one is we have dashed him to ndi Yoruba.
As for beds and roses, someone's house got burnt and you are jubilating.

    1. Of course Nigeria is beyond redemption at this point. How can someone be rejoicing because someone from another political affiliations property is destroyed or killed. Where is the freedom of speech or freedom of association? Tribalism will not kill us in this country.

  16. When it is time to be professional hypocrites, you'll see them quoting verse this in chapter that. When it is about violence, death and wickedness, you'll see why even the devil is disgusted by the darkness of their hearts. This is why your outreach and crusade is just about theater and sheep-stealing. The human instinct is strong. Even with the spiricoco facade, it is easy to spot a wicked and godless person. You don't know God. Sit at home till you find him. You are fooling no one.

Why do you think Nigeria is a mess? Our government/leaders are simply an extension of the vast majority.

Please supporters of the bloodshed, come and tell the family of this young lady to make Lagos their village and tell us how the people of Nnewi are rejoicing over this tragedy. Teejay, please come and explain why the sacrifice needed to be made.

I'll say it again, the stone you throw into a market place will end up hitting your relative. The breakfast you think you are cooking for your neighbors, na you go chop am. Joe will rebuild his house and Nnamdi has no house to be burned down but what of life? What really does life mean to you people supporting this evil?

  19. Ipob are a ragtag group of criminals. Their power is now in the violence, no longer the biafra ideology. Mentally, many igbos are dissociating from them because we abhore violence. The time is coming when families will identify the ipob members within them for punishment. It happened during bakassi boys, osisisikankwu times. We will hunt them down ourselves if they dont keep the violence in check. Nonsense.

See igbo people on this blog rejoicing and openly supporting the madness going on in the homeland, because you claimed that Joe Igbokwe misyarned or is are 'sabo'.
How about the young student, the driver, Dr. Akunyili and all other innocent souls that were lost for no just reason?
