Lady Arraigned By The EFCC For N2.5m Canadian Visa Scam...

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Jessica Roselyn Edoleyi, before Justice S. M. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court in Benin, Edo State.

She allegedly obtained N2,550,000 from Airiohuodion Efosa on the pretext of securing a Canadian visa for him.

The EFCC said Edoleyi committed an offence contrary to section 1(1)(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under same section.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In his ruling, Justice Shuaibu adjourned the matter until October 18, 2021 for hearing of the bail application.

She will remain at a facility of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

I've seen how desperation has blinded people from recognizing a scam even when it right infront of their nose. Pastors and Ponzi schemes also use same techniques, it's mostly desperate people that fall victim.
Most people have failed to see that what a travel agent pledges to do for you, you can actually do it for yourself, just do an extensive research.

  3. People will still fall for these visa scams because of desperation to travel out of this country. Things are hard, and this we know.
With 2.5m here in Nigeria, one can still do some viable businesses

  4. Greed is a killer..It's good to be contented with whatever you have and also take responsibility for things you can do and not only do but do properly and correctly than trying to be smart all cuz of money.

I pray God forgive you and have mercy on you

  7. When will the efcc begin to display thieving politicians like this?
That is when I will believe anything efcc is saying or doing. Selective justice is no justice.
