“It is now confirmed that IPOB bandits have killed Dr Chike Akunyili; the husband of late Prof. Dora Akunyili in Anambra State,” he said.
Chike, who is the husband of late Dora Akunyili, the ex-Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, was killed in Anambra State on Tuesday.
The Department of State Services (DSS) was accused of killing the medical doctor who was returning from a lecture in honour of his late wife.
However, members of IPOB were linked to his death, but the group had denied it.

Ipob swore to make the elections hot but here is the funny thing about violence: a Yoruba proverb says when you throw a stone in the market, it will hit your relative. They thought it would be like the northern politician they killed the other time but unfortunately, it was a hero's husband.

DeleteWhere was he killed? Were there onlookers to testify persons who did this and the mode of their dressing? What vehicle they drove and the direction they took? All this will be a lead in arresting the culprits. I will be glad if those involved in this gruesome act are caught and death with.

ReplyDeleteThe murder is gruesome and very bad. The killers should be caught and punished. But this man's comment here, without any particulars, is improper. This is moreso when the comment is considered on the background of his well known kind of his politics.

Me l think, the Killers thought it was another person. They didn't know it was Dora's husband.... maybe they think it was a politician.... But all the same, let the govt do their work and expose those behind this evil.
DeleteI sincerely do not think IPOB did this! But if they did, they will never go unpunished. That man wasn’t a politician, he went to collect a posthumous award for his late wife. If there’s thorough investigation or forensic report about the kind of bullet shot, in a sane clime, they will know where it’s from.
