  4. It's a good move if schools are lagging behind due to missing classes on Mondays. Aside bringing alternatives like this, measures should be taken to completely stop the sit at home order. It's bad that other economic activities are put on hold every Monday.

My 4yr old niece already knows what is 'sit at home' 'no movement' when I forget and call on Mondays to speak with her and ask if she went to school she would say no. When I ask why she would say 'today is sit at home' can you imagine

  8. Shame on the government that cannot tame this ipob. They have given in so fast.

Ipob should be the governors of these eastern states.

    Shame again

    1. Don't you think this is a subtle way of showing solidarity and support for the cause of Biafra?

    2. Sparkles, if you were a leader, what would be your choice here? Let the children lag behind children in other states and potentially fail their exams, or be flexible as these governors are? I think it's important we look at the longer term effect of any decision made.

As for IPOB, they are a sinking ship that will eventually go down.

    3. God bless you Anon 11.58 for your last sentence. I can't wait!

These people do not care as they are outside the country while we suffer in the SE.

  9. So unfortunate the government are adjusting to it. At this point, it's very important the path of dialogue should be initiated. The governors, senators, representatives, traditional leaders in the East come forth in unity irrespective of party affiliation and reach out to IPOB leaders and see a way of shifting ground and brokering peace in the region while still going on with their agitations within the confines of the law even though Nigeria isn't a lawful state. If the government and politicians had done well, the people won't believe or take orders from IPOB, they will trust the government to protect them. Infact, there wouldn't have even been an agitations in the first place.

Dialogue at this point matter most. I sincerely feel for the adverse effect this is hitting on our people especially the students.

Making alternative without solving the root cause of an issue isn't the best. Let's be truthful at this point, IPOB is a strong force to contain with seeing what's really going on but then, when two elephants fight, it's the grass that suffer.

I sincerely hope things don't escalate more than they are already, rather effort be made to address and solve it.

    1. Ipob has lost a lot of support. It certainly is a sinking ship that is going down. They have polluted the whole biafra agenda.

    2. In case you don't know Teejay, IPOB has lost its flavour. IPOB apologists are mainly hoodlums, losers and low mentality individuals.

Responsible individuals have since seen the light of day as the reigning violence is deplorable.

Biafra through IPOB will be a monkey republic. In fact, present day Afghanistan will be heaven in comparison.

    3. When female students where denied the right to sit for their final exams and their Reverend was murdered, you said it was a necessary sacrifice. You hailed every idiotic decision made by IPO-NK as regards their choice to starve poor Igbos every Monday in the name of sit at home while hypocrites like you work on the same Mondays without considering your brothers who live at home and have investments there all in the fight for a fool who did not sit at home and thus, got caught when he was lured out with money while denying others the right to make theirs.

IPO-NK supporters are largely wicked people who have no economic consequences in the south east. Till popular people like Dr Akunyili was killed and it became unpopular to openly support murder especially when the world was tired of your conspiracy theories, you now suddenly feel for the many innocent Igbos who have been murdered and starved by their own kin because a failed yahoo boy and lazy DJ fraud armed airheads and set them loose in igboland. Congratulations on doubling the number of Fulani herdsmen and quadrupling the number of deaths far better than the herdsmen could ever do. Leave the rock under which you are hiding in Port Harcourt, Lagos, Europe etc and go and join the ESN and IPO-NK that you so support. This U-turn is fooling no one.

We don't use to work on Saturdays and when we do, you are paid for ur overtime but now we do and to make it worse they also included Sundays and no overtime again.

  14. Nigerians in diaspora I don't really understand the frequency they are operating on, because some of them are just managing to float they seem to be less concerned about what really the masses in Nigeria are going through already, by always calling for war, end sars protest took a lot of lives, they led igboho into his doom and now maxi Kanu.
Biko this sir at home is enough, the whole world are just laughing at us, don't let's go the way of South Sudan because the Biafra agitators are selfish and greedy beasts
