That day God put on an impressive show with the wind, the earthquake, and the fire. But he wasn't speaking to Elijah through any of these big things. What really got Elijah's attention was the still, small voice - the gentle whisper. God usually speaks to us in stillness and quietness - not through some big dramatic demonstration of fire or power. He whispered, 'Elijah, I'm still right here beside you.'
So if you're feeling very low, take your Bible and go to a serene, quiet place. Sit down, read the Scriptures, and just be alone with God. Just let him love you and speak to you. Let him meet your needs and let yourself feel his presence. There is no more effective antidepressant than communication and fellowship with God. That's what he means when he says to you, 'Be still, and know that I am God' (Psalm 46:10 NIV)

ReplyDeleteIt was 7pm yesterday on our way to visit a lady that just gave birth. We saw cars and bikes parked by the road side and decided to stop to know what had happened. It was a young woman lying with blood gushing from her nose. Her head broken and her eyes popping. A commuter bus had hit her from behind. She was on a motorcycle with her husband riding. The husband had been rushed to the hospital, hopefully he survives but she died there on the spot. she is a young woman, I'm sure she has young kids too. They might just have left the house or going somewhere but never arrived.
Our going and coming every day is God's protection and should not be taken for granted.
May God continue to protect us at every given time

Few week ago ,a guy that lives close to our house died of accident, he was at home sleeping,cos he's off duty,he's an engineer,when his friend called him to please help him to picl his cousin that just came to visit him from Lagos at the park ,after picking the cousin, on their way back they had an accident, the guy died instantly,while the cousin survived but in critical condition. May God protect us and ours in Jesus name
