Nigerian Lady Cries Out To Nigerian Govt, Says UAE No Longer Gives Permit To Nigerians To Work And Explains Why...

Nigerians in the UAE are reportedly being sacked every day from their Jobs where they used to earn as much as five hundred thousand naira a month.....

The reason for the sack en masse as alleged in this post is rather disturbing..

She says

''Dear Stella,

My heart is broken. Last year, I have sold all i have to come to the Dubai when life was difficult we couldn't feed in Nigeria with my 20k salary. My parents are aged and i am the major support to them and my little ones. When I got here (Dubai) i got a customer service job that pays N500,000 monthly with my WAEC Result. Life became better.

Problem is that there's been a diplomatic issue between Nigeria and UAE concerning Covid 19 protocol and this has led to the ban of Emirates Airline from Nigeria to UAE. In retaliation, UAE stopped giving Nigerians work permit (aside free zone). Stella over 700 Nigerians have lost their job.

I just lost Job on Wednesday November 3rd .

This has been on-going for several months now. We have cried to the Nigerian government. We have gone to the Embassy. We have pleaded that they should resolve this because UAE has been the hope to many that were hopeless in Nigeria but the Nigerian government does not care. The situation is similar to the ban they did to twitter.

How can you say you care for your citizens when you directly and indirectly make them suffer? Being a Nigerian sometimes brings so much pain and affliction.

Stella please use your platform and help beg the Nigerian government on behalf of we Nigerians in diaspora in UAE. Please they shouldn't take food away from our table. They should resolve this now. All we have been getting for 5 months is promises but no actual thing done by them''.

    1. Hold what accountable? I'm in the UAE now and I and my husband also lost our jobs 2 months ago for nothing than the stupid pride and non challant attitude of your buhari administration. My daughter is here with us and will stop school next month because feeding is even gradually becoming a problem. I've been pushed to depression.

You sit in your home and type nonsense.

    2. Okay, continue shouting govt, let's see how that will change anything. When people like hushpuppi and co were ruining the reputation of the country, was he not being praised? All sorts of shady things are being done by Nigerians and you are calling govt. Nonsense.

Once you mention you're a Nigerian that's the end of any good opportunity you may have.
I don't think it's about COVID alone, our image is rotten before them. Most of them don't even rent houses to Nigerians anymore, there's more. Nigerians are suffering in UAE, if you want to come to UAE please think twice.

Basically, this particular problem has to do with Nigerian government refusing to accept the COVID 19 terms and conditions for passengers to fly emirates Airline to Dubai direct. Because a lot of Nigerians were producing fake Covid results to fly to Dubai, UAE made some extra covid 19 test demands. The Nigerian government said it is absurd and that they won't follow it. This led to the ban of Emirates Airline from lifting passengers from/to Nigeria and making the UAE government lose millions of dollars.

In revenge, UAE government banned Nigerians from being able to get new work permit or renew their work permit (aside free zone). It is the case of Do me, i do you. Those that still have their jobs are loosing it everyday since they can't renew. Those looking for jobs are unable to get the permit even after getting good offers. A friend lost his job that paid 900k monthly.

Please note that Nigerians were willing to follow the covid protocol oooo, but the Nigerian government refused..

The protocol wasn't put for only Nigerians. UAE did same for India, Pakistan and other counties but its only Nigeria that refused to co operate.

Of course, SOME Nigerians are committing crimes as usual but that is not the reason for this very problem. If not, they will ban Visa and not work permit.

My work permit is due for renewal 15th of November. I'm a single father here with my son. If they cannot renew it, I will also be asked to stop work. Pray for me.

If so, go back and read the comment you replied and tell me if you aren't a wicked person supporting our governments incompetence and hiding under "hush puppy and his likes" ruined the country's reputation. Nigerians in diaspora are basically treated with so much disrespect because of lack of care and concern from their government. That aside, a person is in distress because they lost their job and instead of feeling sorry, you're painting the narrative of them being at fault? That's some devilish act because i'm sure you read the write up even before replying that comment.

Secondly you asked what we are contributing to UAE, haaaa! FYI Our politicians have finished our money in UAE, we contribute a lot reason they've been trying to resolve the issue but our wicked government refused in return they're frustrating Nigerians here.
Buhari's government is against youths leaving the country which they have made openly, they wants those outside to return, why so much wickedness?

Stella UAE is not wicked our government is the problem, they're the ones prolonging everything.

They delay renewal of passports, make you fly home for the most useless of reasons.

I heard a convo in hausa, how a govt official was angry when he found out how much was being remitted from people abroad esp to the east and South West. So they brought useless policies via CBN that don't make no sense to frustrate Nigerians actually earning a good living abroad and Emefiele their stooge made it happen.

As far as this current govt is concerned...'One Nigeria' does not exist. As long as it's not their fellow Hausa/Fulani that is affected, they don't care.

  27. What is happening in Dubai is very sad. N900k may sound a lot but these guys live in dormitories and under tough conditions. Go on YouTube to see the dirty underbelly of fancy Dubai. The government has a huge fault in laundering the people’s money to help build Dubai with their obtuse brains. Someone is using their own oil money to develop , you are “chopping” and adding your own oil money? Who does that? They know what to do but because when there own kids go there it’s to spend stolen loot so they generally do not care about the masses.

This brings me to my point. Those 40 and below should study the Martin Luther King million man March on Washington in the 60s and stop giving each other a pat on the back fir 10,000 men Endsars protest. If the youth clandestinely do a 2m man March on Lagos and Abuja, the suffering police will join you. Unless you are not tired of the suffering because it’s not just the north stealing, the stealing has been democratized and weaponized across all regions. Peaceful overwhelming millions of people protest, even 10m people protest. How many policemen and Mopol are left after each of the looters and wives and children each have one policeman? Until we stop tribalism in the south, the north is not cerebral or still ready for independence like in 1960.

I’m amazed at the unending capacity of the poor masses to adjust and die in poverty. Mandela said if you have nothing worth fighting fir you have nothing worry living for.
Can we start by ignoring all that looters, cronies, corrupt civil servants, clergy do or wear or buy on all SM? I didn’t think so. We need intellect to deal with a corrupt Government led by the least educated, the least concerned, the least human! Don’t ask me why I cannot do it. On the 5th in the US. I have nothing other than positive wishes and hounding these morons on SM when they come here and working at banning them and their seed will be a life achievement for some here in the US God willing. You cannot turn us all into economic and security refugees and be laundering and enjoying stolen money all over. Look in your family? That uncle that was in government making little salary that built 4 houses is culpable, he is a thief. Your life is subsidizing his corruption. Something must give. Shun tribalism, especially the south. The north rarely migrated to work but to launder money and shop with naija’s money.

  28. Hahahahaha. Nigerians go abroad and spoil their name, they blame the government. Nigerians forge Covid-19 certificate to travel and cause problems for Emirates and the Nigerian government, they blame the government. Someone on this post wrote about someone trafficking young girls to Dubai that they know but won’t report to the authorities, yet they are blaming government.

Maybe if we change our ways and become responsible citizens home and abroad, we can forget government

    ReplyDelete
  29. Stella I suppose the Dubai/Nigeria dispute is not just limited to the Covid-19 issue.

Nigeria Government is disappointed that UAE released some names of Terrorism sponsors and initiating stiff punishments for it. With all there efforts to stop them from releasing the names, UAE still went ahead to release a few.

So to get back at them(UAE), stiffer sanctions were applied to the Emirates Airline. There permits were not renewed and a whole lots more. If you are privy to Nahco top management, you will understand.

Nigeria Government knows Emirates is the Top Airline in Nigeria and grossing in so much from our country (majorly from Asian expatriates like India, Pakistan, etc working in Nigeria).

So I guess not renewing the work permit of Nigerians is them returning the favour too because that is key part without it having any adverse effect on their economy.

Stella Nigerians both home and abroad need to pray and seek the face and forgiveness of God. Because what is going on in the corridors of power is unimaginable and devastating.

Make una manage this drop in the ocean.

Ultimately, May GOD have mercy on our nation Amen.
