  2. But not everybody wey dey Naija jail or any jail for that matter be "thief"
How come you dey yarn like person wey no break slate?😮😮😮
Some dey jail just because them fight come wound persin.
Some dey jail because, them commit bigamy or contempt of court, or beat them spouse etc.
And even the "thieves," some of them don repent for inside jail.
If person dey receive im due punishment, how we wan crucify the persin again. Make them go school come get better opportunities when them commot.

    2. Yep. Not everyone in jail is a theif. Some could b sale or purchase of drugs, some had altercations with a corrupt officer and was framed. Others could be manslaughter or petty crimes.

  3. Good development. In most developed countries, people study up to PhD level from inside jail.
The only challenge in the Nigerian situation is that they may not have all the facilities for online study and regular power supply that such a venture demands.
In fact, in the US, some charities are dedicated to scholarships for inmates wanting to study.
They won't have the time for crimes inside the jail yards that bothers on drugs and gang fights.

  4. Is it that they're being released or Will they be allowed to have a life outside the prison?

    1. They study and attend classes online or on-site depending on the policies in that particular correctional facility.

    2. Is this the one sponsored by RCCG? I know RCCG sponsors some prisoners to take courses in NOUN and also gives well prepared lunch to prisoners in Lagos State every Sunday. Kudos to them, I hope the prisoners make good use of the second chance.

  10. Guess it's the fact the post is written in pidgin that makes it funny.

Convicts attend university and learn skills abroad. It's an excellent way to help them integrate into society and become responsible citizens upon their release.

May God help them become better people.
