  1. Ambassadors Of Good News!!
    2 Corinthians 6:1-2.

    Excerpts!!

"In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus said to His disciples, “...The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

"We’re His labourers for the harvest, His witnesses, sent with the message of His saving power. We’re the bearers of the Gospel of His grace"

"Take the message everywhere this Yuletide. Preach it boldly, and He’ll confirm your words with signs, wonders and miracles"

    Confession!!

Dear Father, it’s such an honour to be the bearer of the Good News of Christ’s glorious salvation to mankind! Your truth is proclaimed in all the earth in these last days, and your Kingdom is established in the hearts of men. Many are snatched from destruction and damnation, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. Blessed be your Name forever. Amen.

    Further Study -

  3. THE BEST GIFT EVER

'Good news...great joy for all the people.' Luke 2:10 NIV

For many people Christmas is filled with dread instead of delight.
Author Jon Walker writes this: 'I'm sitting in a fast-food restaurant observing a young girl celebrating an early Christmas with her mother. Her presents are spread out across the booth and she just said, "I miss you, Mommy." "I miss you too, Baby," her mother says. Beyond the booth...a woman casually, but carefully watches them. Using my journalist's eye, I put it all together. The watching woman is a social worker supervising a structured visit for a mother and child who are doing their best to celebrate Christmas...a few minutes later foster parents arrive and take the little girl home. The mother leaves alone. There's a darker side to Christmas we rarely acknowledge. We create this fantasy that seldom matches reality, even in the best of homes...many Christmas memories are full of tension, not tinsel...the holidays are just another excuse for Mommy to get drunk, or Daddy to be with his new family...yet another reminder that the one we love is far away or perhaps never coming back...The suicide rate is extraordinarily high in December...depression as common as "Joy to the World"...more people hurt at Christmas than we initially imagine. For those tired of the hollow hope...of Christmas, the good news is, God is with us. Jesus came to earth to "bring...good news...for all the people."'
Jon Walker continues: 'Regardless of your situation, Christmas is the best gift you'll ever get, because:
    (1) it's the costliest you'll ever receive because it cost Jesus his life;
    (2) it's the only gift that lasts forever;
    (3) it's one you can enjoy for the rest of your life.'

Ya Allah!! we have done our best. Make our best enough to deserve Your reward; spare our lives and give us good health to worship You. Give us sustenance from that which is pure, the spirit of contentment and character of gratefulness, modesty, and wisdom. Make us better as You prolong our lives and protect us from that which is harmful.Allaah is Al-Fattah: The Opener,The Revealer and The Granter of successes. He opens what is closed and makes what is unclear to become clear and even very clearly. Allahu Akbar. He has the best of judgement and holds keys to victory and success. 11. My SIL was given two due dates, 18th and 25th. She started having contraction on the 18th and it continued till the 19th when she was taken to be checked and was told to come back 20th morning. She went on Monday morning and was told there was no sign but she can come back when it becomes severe. In the evening, it became more serious and at about 11:30pm we rushed to the hospital. On getting there, the nurses checked her and we were told it was not yet time. They further asked us to go back home and come back around 4 to 5am as there was no need staying there, besides we would only interrupt their sleep for nothing. We contemplated staying there in the cold till the said time or going back home and decided to go home. On getting home, the contraction continued. At about 4:48am I heard my bro open the door and rushed out, then I knew it was time for me to wake up from my little sleep. He had gone to call the neighbor who is a nurse to check her. When she came and checked, she said she was fully dilated and immediately asked for the delivery items. It was brought and the process began. She was put on drip and after other checks she was told to push when she feels the urge. It went on and on until about 7:48am Tuesday when the baby finally came! She was cleaned up and quickly worn cloth. The cold harmattan morning wasn't a joke. The mother on the other hand was in pains as she was been stitched 😥.

  12. Good morning blogfam,
    It Christmas eve!!!🥳🌴🎄🌹
How are you guys holding up at this moment?
Myself? I’m bubbling in God’s grace, and I choose not to be bothered by anything. I just want to wake up and be happy, any other thing or feeling is secondary.

    Today’s discussion:
Must people travel to their village of origin?
I was discussing with my colleague (call him Gee) a few days ago and I asked him if he’ll travel to his village this Christmas with his children. He told me that he hasn’t even been to his town since he was born not to talk of his children. He also said that he sees no reason why he should since his parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and his other relatives all reside in the town he lives, so what’s the essence of knowing or going to the villa?
When he left, another colleague of mine(call him Ed) who was listening to our conversation came on to tell me that he’s in shock that an adult like Gee doesn’t know his village and that it’s a taboo.
And this led to my question, must people know or travel to their village of origin?

    ReplyDelete

    1. @Fresh Fruit...must people know their village of origin? YES YES YES..Because no tree without a root,,,if not because of the wickedness of people, that is why many people are scare to travel to their village.

*must people travel to their village of origin?..just to know your village is important but if your people are not in the village, no need..

Pls I need your sincere advice. My sister In-law( my husband elder sister) called me shameless yesterday for the following reason👇
During my takaba"s period which is 4months and 10day. I have been wearing hijab and even when going for my therapy session I stil use nikkaf or facemask. So yesterday my mum called to see me ,so decided to use my veil instead of hijab. And that was why she called me shameless woman,,going out without hijab. Or do I want men to start lusting and chasing me so early? She said lots of things ,that I can't type right now. I HAVE BEEN DOWN SINCE YESTERDAY EVENING, IM I REALLY SHAMELESS?

    1. You are not a shameless woman. Please don't let what she said to you distrub you. You are a good woman, a wonderful woman, a woman with a good heart, a beautiful woman.

    2. Salma, since you already know their custom, you should abide by it to the letter. Abide by it pls and cover up if it is needed to avoid issues like this. Afterall, your mum already knows the kind of faith and family you married and their customs.

Ladies, if you marry into a particular tribe or religion different from yours, be ready to follow their practice thoroughly so you can have peace.

Please pay no attention to your sis in-law. Try as much as possible to stay away from her.
Using a veil wasn’t bad at all, it wasn’t.

    6. Please dont be angry with her, she is just safeguarding her brother property and maybe because is your culture or tradition...just learn from it and move on..dont let anybody spoil your joy..you deserve to be happy..what have you eating this morning? what do you like as gift for this christmas?..please be happy

    7. It's well with you is all I can say

    9. Only you can answer that question. You rule your mind. If someone says I'm shameless, it's left for me to decide if I really am or not.

      Delete
    10. My dear pay no attention to her,how is covering a veil result to being shameless?? The truth is that you won't mourn forever..at some point you will defo remarry! Or are they expecting you not to remarry at this young age of yours?

Would she say the same thing if it were to be the other way round?? My dear cheer up and make yourself happy 🤗🤗

      Delete
    11. You are not shameless dear and peace be unto you. Please be careful around your in-laws and do as expected customarily. People need to be empathic, dunno why she used such words. Ehugs

      Delete
    12. No you are not shameless, don't let her words get to you. She is still pained at her brother's death. Try and cooperate with them for the period of time that you will stay with them. I'm sure you won't stay there forever. E hugs dear🤗🤗

    13. Since I became more involved in psychology, I realized most people react to things not because of you but because of themselves...something broken inside them, a trauma they are struggling with and they end up projecting.
She may have been called shameless, she's now looking for who to put it on.
      Don't be bothered.

  19. My bro had ran outside to call everyone on the phone to break the news. I could hear their loud screams. He went on to tell the neighbors and they came trooping in. Everywhere was joyous and more people kept coming. When it was about 11am, the nurse noticed the baby's breath was changing and they made out to the hospital. On getting there, they weren't let in and were referred to the specialist hospital. Since the mother couldn't get up yet due to pains, she didn't go with the baby. It was after a while we called to know what was happening that we were told they referred them to the specialist hospital and the baby was about to be put on oxygen. Ah! oxygen, how?. Everybody's happy and smiling face changed and we were filled with sudden panic. We called at intervals and they assured us the baby was cooperating. We kept hope alive while trusting all would be fine. At about 10pm my bro came back briefly and we were told the baby was playing as they left. In fact, at some point, she shifted the oxygen while raising her hands up playing 🙂 just what we needed to hear to calm us down. In the morning, the doctors said the mother can now come over to breast feed the baby. She went and the baby was brought out to be breast fed and afterwards taken back in. Since there was much improvement baby was discharged yesterday and can be coming from home for check up. God is good Our joy knows no bound 🙏👶💃

    1. Nne good morning. You can either use vinegar to boil them or use ngoor(burnt palm frond liquid) to soften the meat so it can cook on time.

People do mention using new iron nails to boil their meat.

      Delete
    2. Goatmeat shaki and the rest get soft fast. You don't need anything special to make it get soft, just boil for like 40mins max. It is the one of cow that needs special ingredients to make it soft.
In the case of a cow's own, you can use along powder or bicarbonate of soda to boil it. Also works for cowleg and cowhead.

Bvs, I almost had a heart attack, I was so shocked and alarmed and...... I can't even describe the feeling.
If you see the speed that I used to pluck it out

Grey hair on my head? I'm still shaky as I type. Maybe it is the realization that I'm actually aging or the fact that I don't want to look old yet. One thing is sure though, I will have them whether I like it or not, right?

Anyway,I don't want them yet. I don't want the stress of applying dye on my hair yet.

Get inforemed:The UAE has just banned all the flights from Nigeria..

I just saw a video of a very good and seemingly corrupt-free Nigerian policeman doling out cash gifts to a tricycle operator and his passengers for the Christmas...It was all shades of heartwarmingly nice and God bless him....

The video is up on IG for those of you that would want to so watch it and i liked the fact that he made those peeps smile big time.....

    1. I learnt there are different types of frozen chicken. Those selling frozen foods here might enlighten you more but I remember being told there is soft chicken, hard chicken, fatty chicken etc.
