  3. Sad, very very sad.
It is a marketplace and the goods they sell are vanities. I have since stopped going to any social media. I took stock on New Years Eve and it has added nothing to my life. At least, I've kept that promise and will continue to keep it, God helping me.

Social media is a two way communication media; video, sms, audio
This post isn't about those ones, not a news media like a blog. At least that's
      my understanding.

  7. Social media is suppose to be a place where people connect and reconnect with friends and loved ones but sadly it has become a place where people come to seek validation, pepper themselves and engage I all manner of display that leaves you shaking your head. In all, the negative seems to outweigh the positive

  8. Twitter makes me happy.
Why - The app is truly addictive, adrenaline inducing (most times negative) and fun..however, the meanest jerks are found on twitter.

    SDK makes me happy.
Why - It feels like real family. We laugh, argue and we get over it like families do. At least I do.

  9. It's a two way thing, sometimes it gives me the right dose of motivation, other times I feel like I am lagging behind when I see the milestones some of my peers have achieved.
And no my sadness is not borne out of comparison, I just feel lost.

Instagram entertains me, cos I Follow a lot of funny accounts

I don't do much twitter, but I love to see twitter memes on people's WhatsApp status, so it cracks me up.

On Facebook I see a lot of my friends/family getting married, doing pregnancy photoshoot, showing off their families, showing off their husbands etc and it reminds me of the fact that I am not married... so it affects me kinda

  37. Made me more of sad!. Let me rant! Mama say leave your Onyibo girlfriend come naija come marry, I did and visited home. I was so shocked the kind of girls I meet. sex was being offerd so easily. Most have nothing intellectually. I asked one what her future plans are and she said "get married and have kids" ( not a bad plan) what about self growth? Honestly social media is influencing my perceptions about marriage especially back in Nigeria. I am even considering having kids through surrogacy Mum. I have grown distrust for women for no reason after reading some stories here.I worked so hard to get to where, I feel like someone might just destroy the joy I have if I let them in. I am ready to settle down but after reading how people view marriage now I feel like it's a waste of time. I disciplined my self so well from when I was a boy and i get so discouraged when most ladies believe that every Man is unfaithful or cheat in a relationship. I feel like it's a waste of time getting married to someone who might not trust you. Nigeria social space has fucked up my mentality. Rant finish

    1. So it's oyibo wife that would not take all you have worked for? Go and read the tales of men who have gone through divorce about how their white wives dealt with them in court.

Bad wives are everywhere even among the oyibo
