  1. He and Funke make a great team, he is the director for Jenifa's diary. It takes a supportive spouse to be able to work together on such a project. I wish them the very best.

  2. This man is a clear proof that the best thing to happen to any man after receiving Christ, is having a good woman in your life. Funke just turned this man's destiny around.

    4. I laugh ing pidgin at those who thought jjc skill was a nobody before he met fúnke.

The guy was popular in the UK afrobeat scene in the days of receipt edris abdulkareem and plabtashun boiz. He formed jjc and the 419 squad in the UK and they toured all over.

The dude was a contributing editor for BBC in the UK and worked on radio and TV.

He was fine in the UK. He moved to Nigeria because he and funké were a thing. And he knew he'd make it more working in the naija entertainment scene.

So whatever you do...do not even try to discount his skills...abilities and we'll to do before meet g fún ké.

  4. If it wasn't for Funke nobody would know him and he would still be working for free. Not to be condescending or an hater but I am tired of these motivational speakers that tell only a part of their stories. Why didn't he acknowledge that his wife name and status worked for his own good. Humbleness and truth are the keys.

    1. JJC Skillz was part of a popular group 419Squad way back in London then. If you don't know, say you don't know instead of trying to put him down.

    3. Anon 12:18,how many people knew him.i am not a hater but let's be truthful.
The wife played a major role likewise he did too,so it's a two way thing.

    4. How can you call a spade a spade when you don't even know the full story of his life? Smh. Haters in disguise. Lol.

    6. Tenth, definitely it is a two way thing, and those who lived in the UK and are familiar with the music scene knew him. Let's get our facts right please.

    7. Anon, do you realise there are many people who nobody knows, but they are making their money coolly? And many who are known but it's all a front they are putting up. Let's be guided o.

    8. Anon,and Tenth,both of you are haters.
Children born so recently won't know jjc skills.
He has paid his dues, thank God he married a good woman but please don't say without Funke nobody would've known him.

Without being good in his craft, even marrying Funke wouldn't have changed anything.
Give it to the guy he is also good in his craft.

    13. If you were up to date with happenings in the Nigerian music industry during the time of Tony Tetuila them, you would know JJC - even if you were based in Nigeria. The guy has paid his dues abeg.

See, a good team is a good team. It's wrong to give all the credit to just one member. Even if one of them is better than the other, if the other doesn't cooperate and contribute meaningfully, they wouldn't make a good team.

    15. There so many kids here that know nothing about the past, ask the likes of Don jazzy, Dbanj and so many others in the impact of Rasheed to their success story in UK. When Funke was still Waka pass Rasheed was already Popular in Nigeria music scene.

  5. I knew him and his group way back ...they made good music then ..he's been around for a long time...glad he still doing well!

  6. No cross no crown ... We all have a story.

  7. Big Brovaz was the name of his UK music group. Skillz was all up on the waves winning awards. I like the fact that he doesn't show off his past achievements, and allows Funke to shine in her field.

  8. JJC is a highly accomplished producer, rapper and entertainer. He was one of the pioneers of Afrobeat on the UK scene with his group JJC & the 419 squad. He was also a member of the UK hip hop group Big Brovaz..I remember watching them on Channel O n Primetime Jamz then hahah...For the indomie generation, both Don Jazzy and Dbanj were affiliated with his group..Don was one of his producers and I remember hearing Dbanj was a fringe member of 419 squad. So honestly saying this guy was a nobody before Funke is simply ignorant.
