INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

Running a home requires a lot of wisdom and  it is very tasking, and the cost of running the home is always increasing.

I try to find a rhythm and method that works for me, where I maximise resources and the household income as much as I can but recent happenings has been  headache inducing.

So to get the best deals I buy in bulk, usually there is a little warning given by vendors to prepare one's mind ahead about a possible hike in the prices of goods.  This recent hike was unexpected by even the vendors themselves. There is a hike in the price of everything you can think of just because of the fuel scarcity and it is annoying.

A bag of rice has gone from twenty eight thousand naira to thirty-two thousand naira in my area.

Power distribution companies have refused to give electricity coupled with the fuel scarcity, all the bulk cooking done is going bad. It can be frustrating but what can one do than to keep pushing. I have never been crazy about relocating but even me “a preacher of make Nigeria great again” has started entertaining such thoughts.

I have had to readjust my thinking cap and come up with better ways of managing the homes finances. I have discovered that perishables are cheaper in the evening but the downside is that the best picks would have gone earlier in the day, so its a battle of quality over quantity. I am also revamping my abandoned food time table.

My prayer is may I always enjoy the good of the land no matter the economic situation.

In Nigeria, anything that goes up never comes down!

WHO DROPPED THIS COMMENT ON MONDAY SPONTANEOUS POST
COMMENT SECTION?

I have pile (hemorrhoid) and my anus is protruded: my poo is always strong that's what caused it and its been like that for 11 years although i dont feel pain. Is there anything i can take to make it normal again or do i have to go for surgery? please advice me.

Go and see a Doctor....

A doc knows what to do to help you get rid of it...its not surgery, it is tired and it will fall off...You also need to change your diet and eat things that will make your poo soft.... I saw someone who had this thing two years ago and I was really shocked seeing a grown man crying like a two year old baby cos of pains....

it was horrible but has been treated....

I am rejuvenated and restored because the very essence of life and divinity is resident in my body. I am imperishable because the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead quickens my body through and through. Praise God!

  7. My people be good to strangers... You need to show love and humanity. The reward is so unique.

I have seen my children away from me and strangers are taking care of them... Like I haven't met my daughter's House Mistress but they make her so comfortable in school..

I give God all the glory for his mercy. It can only be his Hand.

    3. If I didnt know this before, I now know.
A cleaner in the hospital my friend works, this cleaner became very interested in an old woman (patient)who didnt have anyone around to help. Her children are not based here. The old lady didnt lack money but needed like a PA.
This cleaner will pack poo, clean vomit, bath the old lady. She was taking extra care of this woman. She didnt have any relative to stay with her.
Now this woman's children all arrived last week and were so happy with the cleaner that they gifted her this long coaster bus that can be used for transportation and cash gift that she didnt disclose sha.
See happiness. The children were really grateful to her for taking care of their mum.

Things are so unnecessarily expensive these days and it’s getting higher daily,Most people are now eating rubbish to survive..like buying esha tomatoes, soft pepper, leftover meat sold in the evening, packing head of iced fish from the sellers,May God help us and provide for people who can’t make ends meet.somehow somehow we will survive.Someone told me the other day that she hasn’t bin shopping from me for a while now cos she has to eat first and be alive before she slays.

Plus how could Rue afford her dug habits as a high schooler with no job? Drugs are expensive lmao

Rue casually doing drugs like they ain’t broke and living in sham. And don’t get me started on the sex and toxicity. That show is awful.

  29. Let me clear my head a bit #mondayrants

Adulthood can be so frustrating. I earn #50k but I can't even show anything for it ( I am not talking about material things, I mean I can't even save - @28 I don't have a Kobo as savings).

As an orphan I have two younger siblings to take care of, I spend #25k on transportation to work excluding feeding oo the other #25k I pay water bills, light bills etc. There are times my siblings ask me for 1k and I can't even afford to give them because I am thinking of saving the little I have on me for transport to the office (no employer wants to hear Sir, I didn't show up at work because I don't don't have t fareπŸ™„). On top this I am still struggling to complete my rent phew!

Why is it so hard to get a good paying job after all these years of going to school to get that qualification, why is it so hard for employers to pay us what we deserve despite working like a machine. I have been applying for jobs but nothing is forthcoming yet.

It's not easy living this daily life but in everything I am thankful to God as the day rolls by, I just want a breakthrough asap.

I am not sucidal, I am just TIRED #mondayrants.

  30. People are really striving to survive in this country. I asked a friend who bought ₦200 bones from the meat seller if she has dogs. She said no that she wanted to make soup and stew with the bones so the food will be tasty instead of using ponmo.

    1. Girl, have you ever heard of bone broth? Bones are excellent sources of calcium and bone marrow is very rich and flavorful and they are often used to enhance the flavor of soups and stews, actually.
It's very common practice to use bones to make broth, at least in the western society.
Don't just attribute everything to suffering lmao.

    1. I really pity salary earners now. For business people it is better because you sell or charge according to the current prices but for salary earners, they earn the same salary even as prices of everything have skyrocketed, how do they manage the money to survive?

  36. Sometimes when I go to the market, let me nor lie, I feel like everyone gathered and discussed the new prices of things and left me out of the conversation deliberately. Because why is it that things keep going up everytime?? I'm tired of asking why why why. I need answers. Maybe I should ask myself why my money nor dey reach again and go thief person money. I nor come know again.
