On Sunday, February 7, 2022, she died in circumstances yet to be unraveled by the police but the husband is in detention while his mother who lived with them is now at large. The incident was initially reported at Oko Oba Police Division but case now transferred to the Homicide Department of Nigeria Police, Panti.

Sad ending to her life. This might be the same outcome fot my sil whose police husband panel beats her but she has refused all family interventions and external agency interventions.

He has even rented a house for his pregnant side chic.
My inlaws are keen for her to end the marriage but she says for better for worse. FiL even went and bundled her out of the man's house but she ran back there. They are legally and traditionally married ohh and she has a solid income.
Nothing more to be done for her than pray she doesnt end up ruining her life and that of the people that care about her!

ReplyDeleteShe killed herself, this is the truth. She accepted domestic violence with all her being. We all know violence of any type can lead to death. She lacked the courage to walk away probably because of the fear of the unknown.What role did her mother play in her death, why is she on the run? Why do women tolerate domestic violence, is once not enough to move back to your parent's homes?, what gives the erroneous impression that a violent man will change someday? A man will beat you , hours after you will allow him climb you. Why do women use their kids as excuse to spend a life time with a man the abuses them emotionally, phychologically and physically?. Why is money always an excuse to stay with the thug that's beating our women?, do they really need more than transport fare to go to their family homes. Why do women distance themselves from all their friends, extended families after marrying and make themselves vulnerable and helpless when they are having marital crisis.?
