According to EEDC this is coming barely 24 hours after the grid collapse experienced in the early hours of Monday, March 14, 2022.
Confirming the development in a statement to it customers, the Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Emeka Ezeh, said as a result of this unfortunate development, all our outgoing feeders are out and supply to our customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States has been affected.
The statement said, “We are currently on standby, awaiting further directive from the National Control Centre (NCC) for restoration of supply.”
Recall that the first EEDC general system collapse occurred on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10:40 am
Eze, while confirming the development in his statement said “EEDC wishes to inform her esteemed customers in the South East of a general system collapse which occurred on Monday, 14th March, 2022 at 10:40 am.
“This is the reason for the loss of supply currently being experienced across the network.’’

I saw a news headline where Gencos said Nigeria will remain in darkness except FG pays their N1.6Trillion.
ReplyDeleteReturn tickets would now cost N240k.
Diesel is now 780 per litre
Kerosene is 650 per litre
Gas is 700 per kg
Electricity bill for non-prepaid metre owners rises every month (for where we see the light to use?)
I AM OFFICIALLY TIRED!
Could be a true report. Sri Lanka almost went completely dark last month because they could not pay their energy bills, nah loan from India kept their lights on.
DeleteNigeria has some of, if not the brightests minds on this planet and nobody invests in them to push innovation. If Nigerians were walking on vibranium nobody would ever know cause no money put into innovation. Their talent just wither away while politicians pocket huge sums and dependency continues.
