ReplyDeleteOn another note, some 14-18years olds in my village are now becoming parents outside marriage. So, I don't see much difference between that and this intending couple. If anything, they are better; will carry their responsibilities; likely stick with one partner.
The west we constantly use as reference has alarming rate of teenage pregnancies. Only savior they have is abortions can easily be contracted or the baby would be given away for adoption.
In some states in US, even a 16 year old can marry a 30 something years old man with the consent of the girl's parent(s).
On a personal preference though, I wouldn't want anyone I know to marry before they 23 years. But then, the decision belongs to them and their parents not me. I will just cheer them on while hoping for the best.
