Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative...

 Hmmmmm

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE

SERIOUS ANSWERS NEEDED

I need answers/clarification on some thing(s).

On Sunday, I listened to a preacher talk about how he met a lady who told him that, attachment, lipstick, eyeshadow, all makeup tools sha, are from the underworld. That they are made in the marine kingdom. That once you have them on, they can see/know about your life.

He said he wanted to record what the lady was saying but she warned him vehemently not to. He also asked if we knew why necklaces, earrings are not allowed in the theatre/during operation or something.

The two nurses there said, they were only told not to wear them during operation. He laughed and said something about demons/evil people sha, connecting to the operation or so through it (I didn't really get that part. He was speaking in Yoruba and his interpreter didn't interpret that part. Young man was intrigued by what he was hearing. My understanding/interpretation of Yoruba can be sometimes limited).

Now, my questions are:

 1. Does the Bible condemn the use of makeup?

If yes, where is it written? (Mind you, I am asking not cos I use it. What I use are my lip balm, nude lipstick, powder and once in a while, eyeshadow)

2. Does the Bible condemn the use of attachment? Where can it be found?

3. If the answer to number 2 is "Yes", then can one use wool instead?

4. Where is it written that one must not use earrings?

Please, all answers should be biblical backed up. I am not trying to condemn any pastor but I just need answers to these (and many others) Thanks.

I am also interested in knowing these.....

    2. The bible doesn't condemn any of these things you mentioned poster. All scripture emphasizes us that our focus should be on our inner man.

Read 1 pet 3:1-5. I will also advice that you read "The woman question" written by Kenneth E Hagin. It will answer all your questions, I promise. you can find the e book online, download it and read.

p.S. I like your heart, it is sincere and beautiful.

You are expected to remove everything you are wearing to enter the theater including your clothes. That is why they provide gowns to the patients both male and female. Abi are clothes also made in the marine kingdom. All medical tools are washed and sterilized before hand. Doctors and nurses wear their own type of apron, inclusive of cap, nose masks, gloves and even they don't wear their normal shoes in there.

    4. It’s not written anywhere but we shouldn’t put anything above God, or worship or treat anything more than God.
So if all these do not distract you from worshiping in truth and spirit then I don’t see the issue.

Concerning the operation stuff, people are supposed to because of patients getting infected or having things fall into the patients body.
Some cooks are also meant to cover up because of germs as well… nothing demonic.

  2. Romans 14:23 “But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.”

The bible didn't go deeply into this issue but only made mention of man not putting on what belongs to woman and woman not putting on what belongs to man.

1Timothy 2:9 says, Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire.

He asked us to do things in modesty.

If you talk about tattoo or body piercing then I can tell you that,it's a sin and can back it up with several chapters of the bible.

  3. The reason why jewellery is not worn during surgery is because the items can fall into the surgical site and get lost. Surgeons have left gauze; scalpels, scissors etc. in their patients, and even those are fairly large items. Can you imagine losing a small earring or the back of an earring in a patient? How and where are you going to find it, with all the blood, tissue etc.?

Jewellery also harbours a lot of bacteria, due to it's close contact with skin. Removing them before surgery reduces the risk of infection.

Lastly, jewellery and body piercings increase the patient's risk of surgical burns from the use of medical equipment during a surgical procedure.

** PS. Your Biblical questions can also be answered with a simple Google search. It will link you to the biblical websites that can provide adequate answers. The best part...it's FREE!!

  10. One thing i can say and know is, this planet earth is spiritual and spiritual things abound for every religion..we just don't want to dig deeper. I somehow feel those things might be true, given the sense that we find those things alluring and sexually appealing and one tool the devil use on man kind is sex and sex related things..a man has a wife and choose to go with another woman because she wears trouser.. that trouser brings out her her and make it looks like she wears nothing...lust creeps in...she wears some funny hairs that makes her look woooooow....earrings and all of th4e anklet...what i am trying to say is most of those things were created for the wrong reasons to lure and entice someone sexually...so I kinda to some extent believe the evil world also uses that to lure people...might be wrong..I prefer beauty in decency .please someone should educate me..might be wrong though.

Shey those kids also wear sexy and alluring clothes? I hate when people(women especially) make excuses for men and their promiscuous ways

      Delete
    2. Your argument falls flat. Before women wore trousers, men were fornicating, committing adultery and marrying several wives + keeping concubines. They were doing all these before hair extensions, modern makeup, etc. If we all go back to tying wrappers with zero makeup, I promise you nothing will change and u know it with ur full chest!

If you acknowledge that men, under the best circumstances, are lustful, doesn't that then necessitate taking EXTRA PRECAUTION like being mindful of one's dressing? Btw, I wear trousers and makeup but I am very mindful of never looking sexually suggestive.

How many attachment that Nigerians wear are sourced from actual humans.
Most people wear synthetic fiber as attachment. Even those that think they are wearing human hair of N100k.
And even amongst those who wear real human hair, not all is from people who do whatever Hindu sacrifice with their hair.

  20. A simple google search on why jewelry isn’t allowed during surgery brought up this - A major concern during surgery is the effect metal has on electrocautery, the technique routinely used to electrically seal bleeding vessels. 4 Wearing metal jewelry may cause an electrical arc, resulting in mild to severe burns.

I wonder why it’s easier to send an epistle to a blog than do basic google research. Religious leaders in Africa rely heavily on fear tactics and the congregation is buying …sigh

The Spirit of God leads believers into all truths (John 16:13), even the truths about these things

Moderation is yieldedness under the grace of God to humbly manage ones excessiveness. Not only our dressing but also in the way we speak, the way we celebrate events and so on. All these don'ts should be by personal conviction. If I have a personal conviction not to use certain things that doesn't mean I should now be forcing others to follow my lead, let them also be encountered personally

We all should do everything to the glorification of God, and we should all be heaven conscious

  23. 1 Timothy 2:9I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

    Summary:
    1. Decency; do not expose your breasts and private parts etc.
    2. Modesty; it is not modest for e.g. to wear things that attract undue attention to yourself, like red hair, blue hair etc.
    3. Appropriateness; what is appropriate in Nigeria may not be so in S/Arabia

  26. If you were told not to use your smartphone because it's from the marine , would you throw it away? Having asked that, there is nowhere in the Bible you'd see warnings about using MaryKay powder, Peruvian weaves or Xpression attachments. The Bible preaches "modesty" in everything including eating and drinking. No gluttony.

Do you think Queen Esther wore Mary-amaka gown with no deodorant, perfumes or glam face to go and "seduce" her husband in order to save God's people? In a palace full of equally beautiful babes that she competed against to win the King's heart? Ka m nu kwa! A whole babe that was groomed by the best for 12 solid months on how to slay? Hian!

There was no single place in the Bible where anybody was killed, stoned or promised hellfire for good grooming, wearing wigs, makeup or trousers.

Do what works for you. I know someone who doesn't use any makeup not because she can't afford the best but for health reasons. She breaks out badly and has now concentrated on maintaining a flawless skin instead. There is a denomination that says wearing bras with underwire is "slutty". You can identify their members by the length of their boobs in their same gowns.

Song of Solomon 3:6 says "Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense with all POWDERS of the merchant?"

Song of Solomon 4:3- "Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet". Na correct red lipstick be that o.

Also, read Esther 2:5-18 and see how the favoured baddest slayer became Queen. Again, there was no single place in the Bible where any woman was condemned, stoned killed or promised hellfire for good grooming or looking their best. There are those who wear wigs because of the side effects of chemotherapy. People wear different things for different reasons but the Lord looks upon the heart and its intents not how many coats of lipstick you have on. See how Jesus loved and praised the lady who bathed his feet with expensive perfumes? Eh-hen! Na so.

  35. There is more to the natural life than what we see. We are still in the learning process with so much we have not discovered.

The issue here about the questions posed is not about eternal life or punishment of hell...

    Below is my take;

The Lord Jesus knows there is much more to life and the enemy than we can grasp through Bible reading, so He hinted His disciples that Holy Spirit would guide believers into all truth.

    ✝ John 16:13

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come."

Jewelry, attachments, and make up are not bad in themselves, so there is no right or wrong answer to your questions - my opinion.

However, without the  testimonies from ex-occultist who were delivered by the power of God,  many professed Christians (myself included) would never have come to the knowledge of certain truths.

    Bottom line;

Pray and ask God to reveal to you whatever you need to know, and do, in order to enjoy a closer and hassles free relationship with Him.

Adjust your lifestyle in keeping with the revealed truths.

    Ciao

Life is no bed of roses on this planet right now, if wearing makeup gives you a little happiness then wear it. If wearing jewelry does the same then go for it. Jesus made wine for a wedding, and was there celebrating with the other attendees. God believes in joy and happiness. Put on the dress, wear the makeup, wear the jewelry, wear the high heels if you can manage it, spray the perfume, do the hairdo, and drink the wine, just don't get drunk. Enjoy your life while you have one!!!

  41. I don't believe that putting on jewellery or using attachments separate you from God. I depends on your personal relationship with God. I realised this when I had a case of robbery in my house. I'm the kind of person that Nigerian born against would condemn(I see the condemnehrn they see me). I've got multiple piercings on my ears and face. While the robbery was ongoing the robbers asked for the key to my suv. I told them the keys was in my sitting room down stairs. While they were searching for it I heard this quiet and firm voice( like the person was beside me all along). The voice said run they will not harm your kids. I ran and truly my kids where safe. To the Nigerian born again I should be condemned but mercy said no. The bottom line is love God with all your heart and love your neighbour as yourself. Anything you know that if someone does to you and it would hurt you don't do it to others. Shalom.

  44. Wearing trousers has helped many women who are burn victims, or have a foot ailment to live their lives with dignity. Wearing weaves and wigs have helped those who have gone bald from chemotherapy or other drugs or those who suffer from alopecia to live their lives without being gawked at. Makeup has helped those with severe skin discoloration, burn scars, domestic violence survivors, and others to go about their lives in peace. All of these things serve a bigger purpose than merely to draw male attention or something to do with diabolical altars. Please use your head, use your own brain and don't let anyone confuse you. You have to physically live in this world too, you can only live in this world with a body, not all bodies are the same, some need help, some need more adornment. If it is sinful to use these things then these same ppl would prefer to see the women who need them to be mocked and jeered or full of depression. NO, we must have these things for everyone, for those who need it for medical reasons and for those who want to use it for fun. These things must exist and they are not to be used to judge anyone's devotion to spiritual life. Have you seen how ugly and painful some surgical scars look? Do you know that constantly looking at these scars can negatively affect those who carry them? But tattoos do help to coverup and put something pretty over it. Have you seen what a full mastectomy scar looks like, it is vicious and gut wrenching to view as an outsider, imagine how the person who has to wake up everyday and see that feels? But many women who have these scars are turning to tattoos to replace it. Asking these women to go back and do reconstruction surgery instead of doing a tattoo because it is a sin, on top, not everyone can afford reconstruction surgery or even is a good candidate for it. So let them get their tattoo in peace and don't judge them cause only they know the pain of looking at themselves everyday.

Sometimes the religious lose their compassion and sensitivity in a quest to form good devotees. No religious practice should ever make love depart from you or cause you to lose empathy for others. Life is hard for so many ppl, sometimes just a little lipstick can brighten up the spirit. Wear whatever you want so long your motivation is pure. It's the motivation that matters. Once your intentions are pure then set yourself free and don't let anyone place any bondage on you cause free will is divine.

  45. Only the Holy Spirit can answer this question for you. You need to pray and ask the Lord to reveal the truth to you.

I had similar questions like you years ago and I went to God in prayer with sincerity of heart ready to do whatever he tells me. I loved my jewelries and would feel naked if I left my house without wearing one. I listened to a preacher for years condemn it and I did not agree. So, I went on my own personal spiritual journey and the Holy Spirit convicted me. I am not concluding that everyone will receive the same conviction and I cannot conclude that it is unholy but for my own personal life, the Holy Spirit had me consecrate my life and I noticed a difference in my spiritual life. It's been over 10 years and I have no desire for jewelries, attachment etc. At some point I even reverted to my natural hair and my hair became better manageable surprisingly. I no longer live in 9ja so no one sends make up or attachment where I live.
While I cannot conclude whether it is biblical or not, my motto in life is, it doesn't cost me anything to give up jewelry, makeup, attachment. If I get to heaven and it didn't matter, I lose nothing. If I get to heaven and I am denied entry because of such flimsy things like makeup, attachment etc, I lose everything. If the Holy Spirit told me to stop, I'd rather live in obedience to God than compliance to the expectations of man.

  46. I can only speak for myself. I heard all these things about articles of Jewerly being demonic plus attachment and weave on and etc when I was in secondary school. over the years I have come to realise that these things are not true. These are mere physical things which are created by man. Just the way way building materials are created by man. You can go to the market and buy these items. They are manufactured therefor there is nothing demonic there. But if you buy these things from demonic people, na you sabi.

Please relax your mind and do not let any one deceive you with their baseless religious beliefs and fanaticism. Fanaticism is a disease. There is more to the world than those cooked up stories that cause fear and cripples the mind.
