    Marital life is a different stage of life that needs patience,love, attention, assistance from both parties, encouragement and many more.

    At this stage,some men with their Africa mentality believes that, the wife should always be the one to wash their clothes,cook, wash the toilet,take care of the kids and so on but what happens to the word "Service To Humanity". If some of us have forgotten,I will remind us of the things we did before getting married or asking her to marry you all because you love her.

    *Cleaning your room/house before her arrival during courtship/dating.
    *Trying to show love to her by cooking or showing your kitchen skills
    *Telling her not to wash your clothes because you don't want to stress her
    *Helping her carry her bag when she is on her way home.
    *Holding her hands while walking.e.t.c

    Now, because you have married her, those things has become a taboo to you and your mentality. Though I'm new into this home building/making but have gained so much experiences from old men and women I have as friends and my new home has taught me alot. There are times, I wash the toilet myself once she is busy in the kitchen and often time, I wash our clothes because seeing her do those things all alone gives me headache and I believe that is the way things should be.

    Though women will always be women, give them a throw stone then they will go a mile. They will automatically believe it's your duty to do those things once you have started it but a reasonable woman, who is well cultured will be glad seeing you do those things and will never want you to continue doing them because you have shown her love, assistance and care.

    In lieu of the above, please,show love to your wife. Let her feel your presence (not only when you need her on bed). Take her as your help mate and not your house maid, pray together,correct her with love and not with slap (domestic violence).
