  1. QUOTE OF THE DAY*

Your offering is a representation of you.

    Proverbs 27:17
Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend

  2. WAIT ON GOD

'Wait on the Lord.' Psalm 27:14 NKJV

When we become impatient and react without thinking, we can do damage to ourselves and others. Sometimes when we pray and God doesn't respond quickly enough, we decide to take matters into our own hands and things get worse as a result. When God tells you to wait, he is saying, 'Trust me with the timing, the ways and means, and you will get a better result.' David wrote: 'I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord' (Psalm 27:13-14 NKJV)!
It can be tough to wait on the Lord. It's much easier in the heat of the moment to lose your calm. Stop and look back. How did the hasty and prayerless decisions you made in the past turn out? Do you think this situation will be different? Not a chance! What do you want? Temporary relief or a permanent solution? Haste makes waste! When you act in haste, you do things you end up regretting and having to apologise for. Or worse, justifying!
Impulsiveness got King Saul into serious trouble. Instead of waiting for the prophet Samuel to arrive and the priests to offer a peace offering to God ensuring their victory over the Philistines, Saul grew impatient, usurped the role of a priest, and offered the sacrifice himself. When Samuel asked him why, he replied, 'I felt compelled' (1 Samuel 13:12 NKJV). And the result? 'Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly...now your kingdom shall not continue"' (1 Samuel 13:13-14 NKJV). So, wait on God.

  3. It's All About The Master!!
    Mathew 10:22.

    Excerpts!!

"The hatred of Satan for Jesus is called the spirit of the world. The world hates Jesus. Many individuals who don't even know Jesus enough still hate Him, and you wonder why. How can they hate someone they don’t even know? It's because of the spirit of the world"

"It has captured a lot of people in the world, and it moves them in a way that makes them think about the Master with hatred"

"When you're persecuted, always remember that you were sent, not in your own name, but in the Name of Jesus. Therefore, the Lord Himself shall be your defense, and reward"

    Confession!!

I'm Christ's ambassador, the bearer of the news of His saving power. I'm steadfast, undaunted, always abounding in the work of the Lord, irrespective of the distress or persecution in this world. I triumph gloriously in Him always, boldly proclaiming the righteousness and blessedness of Christ and His saving power to the ends of the earth. Amen!

    Further Study:
    John 15:18-21; Luke 2:34; Mathew 10:24-25 NIV.

  4. Amen to your prayers..Jesus is not done yet in blessing use all.

Very Selfish, Greedy and Wicked leaders.
They deprive you of good life, they deprive you of life necessities and make your exchange rate valueless that only them can comfortably buy whatever they want from foreign countries.
It's sad that tribalism, religion, party affiliation and hunger has blinded the minds of most Nigerians to elect who is best for them.
    What a Shame!

Nothing person no go see for this blog. The audacity alone makes me think you could be sick or going through some difficult moment.

When you accuse someone of plagiarism, why not drop the link of the original piece or cite the source and if possible date. I discovered when people share some good news or brilliant piece here, you evil minded people will either say it's copied or even doubt it but when it's a sob or painful story, you gloat over it and rejoice.

Truly, demons and witches are here with us on this blog reading and commenting.

    1. TJ, every time you say you have learnt to ignore some things but we find you doing the opposite in no distant time. For real you have to learn to let go of things that are not important. This happened yesterday but it feels like you couldn't wait to wake up this morning to address it. Bruh! Some things are not important except you make them relevant in your heart. This is one of such. Don't you think whoever that Anon is, he/she is already giggling that they got you where they wanted? Learn not to wear your emotions on your sleeve.

  8. I watched Glamour Girls on Friday night.
On Saturday night, I had to go to YouTube and find the original Glamour Girls acted in 1994 and watch it to cleanse my palate. That's how bad it was.

    OMG!

This movie should have been a standalone movie on it's own. As a standalone movie, it wouldn't have raised so many expectations. It would have been a subpar Ikoyi-link bridge movie like Merry Men or Chief Daddy. The type we are all used to.
But marketing it as a remake of the classic Glamour Girls is what made us raise our expectations.

There isn't any connection between the original Glamour Girls and this one.
Trust me, I watched the entire 4 hours of the original Glamour Girls from Saturday night to the early hours of Sunday morning to refresh my memory cos I saw it as a child. Nothing jikos both.

Then the plot holes. Lord the effing plot holes.

There's also that thing they did where they refused to show the audience what was happening. What did Jemma see Alex doing to her son. No visual whatsoever.
What did Toke's husband see? No visual whatsoever
How hard is it to simulate sex? No sexual scenes in a movie about prostitutes prostituting. Even in the scene where Emma seduced the bodyguard, they just dey show wall and moaning. Omooo

In 1994 Glamour Girls, there was a sexually charged scene between Eucharia Anunobi and Zack Orji. She was naked in a bath tub and asked him to come scrub her back. He came in, she dragged him inside the soapy water.
After they'd showered, they came out of the bathroom and opened up their towel. They were naked facing each other. Camera showed their legs, back, every part except boobs and butt. Then they got on the bed and simulated sex. Something fiery.

This was in 1994. About 30 years ago. 30 years later, a remake shows no sexual scenes. Just wall and ah eh.

There's the notorious scene where a snake got into a girls private. They filmed this in 1994. Film tricks or not, but they did. Or the scene where madams discussed using their girls in Italy for bestiality.

When you watch the original, you'll think the remake will come with fire and brimstone. Upeketem.

Before you come and ask if na porn I wan watch, of course not. But this is a movie about highend sex workers. AKA runs girls. Not common prostitutes but more of escorts for the 1%. If the one of 1994 was this unhinged, you'd expect more badassery in the remake.

    But alas, no chutzpah. (πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰)

The character Hell said she came from a rich home. We never knew why she opted to be a Glamour Girl upon say she comes from a rich home. In the original, there's a lady who explained why though she came from a rich home, she became a prostitute. Those little things matter, you get?

Don't get me started with the acting.
Sharon was horrible. On a good day, she's an average actor. But this character. This broke ghetto girl character. She overacted like she was paid to overact. Please dear, that screaming and raving and shrieking is not it. I don't know who told Nollywood actresses that ghetto = over screaming and over shouting everywhere without control.

Joselyn Dumas was just there. Coasting on her good looks and not doing much. Her acting was just bleh.

Nse delivered and almost carried the movie herself but omo that same wig? Shebi I complained about that hair in KOB2? Who told Nollywood that "boss ladies" wear only that kind of hair?

Toke did good abeg. She is not a professional actor yet she delivered. Very impressive when you consider the fact that the people she was up against were professionals.

That Instagram guy was amazing too.

The producers of that movie packed allllllllll the songs of their girlfriends and boyfriends into that movie. Every scene has a different song. And none matched the scene they were in. Who plays "you're my honey bunch" at a party scene? Someone counted 50 songs in that movie. Abeg.

Glamour Girls has got to be the worst movie I've seen this year. And I've seen Chief Daddy 2.

    5. Thank you so much for the in-depth analysis. I’m summary, the movie was rubbish and not even Nse’s brilliant acting could redeem it.

Who was the instagram guy? Because no male actor in that movie stood out to me.

Wait ooo, they haven't give you your driver's license since then?
Is that how the thing is hard to get?

Here in Lagos, all the danfo drivers don't have license.
Some private car owners did not even go to driving school before having one.
No wonder people drive recklessly here.
The ones that go to driving school, to even put the learning sign for 3months na war.

    1. Intending drivers need to pass their driving test (written and practical) to get a license in same countries. If you are unlucky to get a wicked examiner, he/she will score you below the pass mark. In Canada, it became so bad some were failing people on purpose to make more money as you will have to pay the full amount each time to retake the driving test multiple times so govt took over and now have government employees for the practical/driving test instead of licensed private

    2. Anonymous 8:11 that is why here in Nigeria people drive anyhow, a lot of car owners doesn’t know traffic rule and regulations. You can w we sit at the comfort of your house and you will get your driver’s license without attending any driving school.

  20. A boy was selling groundnut to FCMB footballers who were about playing a novelty match. The MD was in attendance and everyone was in a joyous mood. They called the boy and asked him to sell all the groundnut to the footballers. After he gave them the groundnut , he was asked the price and he said everything was N2,100.00k, Ladi asked his PA to give him 10k but the small boy refused saying he doesn't know how to explain to his mom where he got 10k instead of 2,100. He refused the money that his mother will not accept it. Ladi was touched, he collected the money back from him and asked him to go and bring his mom. The mother was afraid and was crying but Ladi told him what happened and how impressed he was with the boy's upbringing. The boy was eventually given a scholarship for his uprightness and integrity.

This boy's father is late and was brought up by his mother with other siblings. Despite their condition, he still held on strongly to their family values.

My submission, everything is from the home, if the home is good, the society will be good and if the home is bad, the society will be bad.

All our societal and national problems started from the home. Overall, the family system has broken down.
