INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

My kids fight for attention most of the time. Two toddlers who look as gentle as a dove would suddenly start bickering and crying for the same thing . For example “mommy see ,mommy see” the moment I turn to attend to one the other one too starts mummy see.

Its crazier when their dad is around, they both want to be carried at the same time, hugged and sleep on daddy’s chest at the same time.

He tries to be fair by making sure he spends equal time with them separately and when they are having non of it, he reclines and put them on his chest at different angles.

My first son even asked for his own breast recently when he saw how much time I spent with his brother breastfeeding. I laughed and told him he was too old.

I hope they outgrow this stage completely or tone it down a lot but I kind of gave up when I saw two grown up, twin men in their forties bickering and competing for their mom’s attention.

This are well established career men, successful and all still trying to get their mom’s attention at a gathering. It was cute to watch though.

They asked their mom which of them looked better with a beard and the mom played safe by saying they both looked good.

It is only cute to watch if it is handled properly.... Sibling jealousy can be destructive, look for a way to deal with it.... I gave it tough to my Bambinos when they almost finished me with this now, they don't have time for such and are closet best friends sef... They laugh at me behind and I hear talks like '' Mama thinks shes too smart'' '' Mama thinks she is too wise''  hehehehehehehehehehe

TEEJAYS CORNER

Early last month, I met this young lady who usually served me food at the restaurant I have my lunch. Let me call her chief cook.  I noted that she was gone for a long time so when i ran into her, i asked her where she had been for like 8 months that i had not seen her. She informed me that She had stopped working for her madam, opened her own food business and doing very well for herself .

She gave me the address and I promised to visit and patronize her.

Yesterday morning I bumped into her again and after some pleasantries, I told her I would visit her restuarant for lunch and I did.

It was a nice and conducive environment with delicious meal served I must say. Patronage of people were encouraging all the time I was there. The  service was also encouraging and so good.

Before leaving, we had some discussion and she narrated all that transpired in her former place of work.  In her former place of work, she made all the meals and joined the other girls in serving customers while the madam takes the credit as the cook. Not minding the amount being paid, she worked and took the place as if it was owned by her own mother while her employer will sit down, collect money and give commands. Unless you are told, you will never know her employer wasn't the one doing the cooking.

One faithful day, problem ensued when her employer got an information from one of her employee on how chief cook got a contract of cooking different dishes for a wealthy customer of theirs on his house warming party.

Madam had picked offence for not being aware of it and wondered how the customer got to know she was the one doing the cooking, She got infuriated and asked how much she was paid. On hearing the amount, she demanded both of them would share it. Chief cook declined and that was the genesis of their problem.

Eventually, chief cook resigned from her service and with the help from family and some customers she had built friendship with, set up her own eatery center.

Now, it made sense to me and I understood better why there was a  change of taste in the meal than what it used to be.

Some things in life could have been avoided but for greed, a good number of persons have met their end and failures in life.

Never use an opportunity you have over another to suppress or try to box them from rising, for there's something called Grace and Favor.

She stole her Madams customer and that's wrong( I wonder how many she had stolen before the Madam found out) ...How did the customer get to know that she was the one doing the cooking? That means she was already bad mouthing the woman and even collecting deals behind her... What she did was wrong abeg and don't be surprised if someone working for her now does the same to her...

BLOG VISITOR LOOKING FOR BLOG VISITOR

Dear Stella:

I pray you and your lovely family are doing well. I have been following your blog for a couple of years. I find it medicinal; it does have a healing touch. It has sometimes made me laugh, cry, sad, happy, and every other emotion one is able to feel. On numerous occasions, I had wished to reach out to people to thank them for sharing their stories, knowledge, and wisdom; however, I did not muster the strength to do so until today, Sunday, November 21, 2021.

I found myself crying as I read an anonymous BV’s story. Her pregnancy and childbirth experience resonated with me. While going through my pregnancy years ago, I did not believe it was possible for anybody else in this world to undergo such level of pain and suffering as I did. May the good Lord comfort all individuals who are currently going through one challenge or another. You will be okay by the grace of God.

Please, Stella, I was moved to contact you because my spirit has been restless since I read her story. I desire to know how she and her beautiful child are doing. Does she and her child have any loved ones close by to assist her? I wish to send a token to her and her child if she will be receptive to it. If not, it is okay. I will completely understand, and continue to pray for them.

I can only imagine how busy your daily schedule is, Stella, but please, if you can help me post this on your blog, or reach out to her for me, I will be eternally grateful. May God continue to bless the work of your hands, and may God in his infinite mercy, continue to use you to impact others positively. Remain blessed.

Forever grateful to God,

**The following was her post:**

''Oh gosh! My first was terrible coupled with having a terrible and unsupportive partner. My torture started at exactly 6wks and that’s when I found out for the first time. I was sick as a dog and went to the hospital and boom pregnancy. I couldn’t stand the smell of anything, I throw up and spit like no mans business. I was losing about 10lbs every week.

I vomited so much bile that my gall bladder had stones and had to be removed. Anything that goes in must go out. I hated sex, I never had it again throughout my whole pregnancy. I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum. At 6months the doctors said if I lose 10lbs weekly again I should about because I’m putting my self in danger losing that much weight weekly.

I was on 100% bed rest through tour my journey. I had to go in to the hospital every three days for iv fluids. One time I was admitted to the ICU for 2months straight. I looked like a ghost. I was used as a case study. At 7months during nighttime my palms will itch like I drank chloroquine, lab results stated I had cholestasis. So my salt level was so high it was resting on my skin. Doctors said I need to be induced in 24hrs if not baby might not make it due to toxic salt levels. 8pm that day I was induced, that experience is something I can never forget. I labored without epidural because this obgyn lady kept telling me to wait till I’m around 6cm if not the effects would wear off when I need it the most.

Every time she checked she’d say it’s 4cm the next thing I was in labor. My people I was pushing and asking for bottles to spit  finally baby came. I was still vomiting and spitting 2weeks after I had baby. They had to put me on some aggressive medication to end it. I forgot to add that during the pregnancy they gave me every medicine in the book to curb the nausea and vomiting but who sigh nothing worked. The patch behind the ears, zofran, then the suppository you put in your booty hole nothing worked.

I went through all this alone, my husband asked me to leave the house and go stay with my friend because I was irritating him. He was gallivanting town with different girls while I went through the worst phase of my life. The day I was induced he couldn’t come because tuface had a show and he said he has never seen tuface perform. The day I came back home with baby I met him and one of his numerous girls having sex on our bed. My people please endeavor to marry a kind person, when things change they’ll always be kind to you. I didn’t say rich o, I said kind hearted. I left him after 3months cos he wouldn’t stop and never helped with baby anything.

My baby never sleep for anything just short naps here and there and always crying. When I manage to fall asleep he’ll wake me up that baby is crying. I left at exactly 3months postpartum from beating me up because I was quarreling him for having time to be going on dates without helping me and my baby.''

  7. Most employees are fond of diverting customers. A lady who owns a couture shop, employed the best hands to work for her. I was surprised when the very good one would give her number to clients who inturn would call her to come and take jobs. She would go to their houses, measure and do a fantastic job, get paid and her madam won't know. Till the thing cast, the girl left and opened her own shop, stole half of madam clients coz she knows how to sew... Phewww. Her corsets are showstoppers. She stole me too, that's how I knew the gist🙍

    2. Maybe her madam stole her own madam's customers too. It's a vicious cycle. Karma.
That's why the smart ones put their best hands in the back office, far far away from their clients.

  10. Let's chat, BVs.
If you confided in (who you always thought was a good) friend about a difficult situation you're going through and they go, "oh I didn't know you were passing through that, and to think I was even envious of you and thinking you were doing better than me".
How would you react? What would you feel? Would you be "too sensitive" if you felt bad at their comment?

Does Elon Musk assemble the cars himself or Bezos hawk and deliver items?

This article says a lot about the mindset of the average person going about Nigeria complaining about government.
