The Holy Spirit - The Power Of Our Message!!
ReplyDeleteLuke 4:18.
Excerpts!!
"No matter how much you love Jesus and how much you're touched by the need to preach the Gospel to sinners in the world, if you're not filled with the Holy Spirit it won't work"
"If you've received the Holy Spirit already, that's just the beginning. You have to know Him; you have to walk in and with Him. He has to become a constant part of your life"
"Remember, the power of our message isn't in the shouting, nor is it in the the ability to use many words. The power of our message is the Holy Spirit"
Prayer!!
Dear Father, I thank you for the Holy Spirit who lives in me and guides me in the path of your perfect will for me. I'm turned on from within by His divine power, which energizes me and fills me with courage to reach my world with the Gospel, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Further Study:
1 Thessalonians 1:5; Romans 15:15-19
Amen.
DeleteJeweluchi stella, how are you doing today ?
DO GOOD WHENEVER YOU CAN
ReplyDelete'To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.' James 4:17 NKJV
We tend to focus on sins of 'commission' - the wrong we do. But what about sins of 'omission' - the good we fail to do? In Christ's parables, when someone was condemned, it was often over a sin of omission. A man was put out of a wedding because he had no wedding garment (see Matthew 22:12). Five virgins were excluded from the wedding party because they'd no oil in their lamps (see Matthew 25:3-11). A servant who buried his talent in the ground instead of using it, forfeiting it (see Matthew 25:25-28). A rich man who failed to care for his neighbour was condemned for it (see Luke 16:19-24). A barren fig tree that failed to produce fruit was cursed and died (see Mark 11:20-24).
You say, 'But I'm interested in a deeper spiritual life.' Well, the deepest spiritual life is one spent doing good to others! And it's the basis on which you'll be judged and rewarded. 'Then the King will...say... "I was hungry, and you didn't feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn't give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn't invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn't give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn't visit me." Then they will reply, "Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?" And he will answer, "I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me"' (Matthew 25:41-45 NLT).
So when you've a chance to do good - do it!
Word For Today
Thank you for the reminder Essa. Indeed we've become fixated with ensuring not to be "bad", focusing on doing good is actually to solution to "not doing bad".
DeleteHmm, reflecting on the good I'll intentionally do today.
Thanks for sharing Nneoma πππ❤️ doing good and be kind can never go out of fashion
DeletePRAYER FOR NIGERIA
ReplyDeleteAll powerful and merciful Father,
You are the God of justice, love and peace.
You rule over the nations of the earth.
Power and might are in your hands and no one can withstand you.
We present our country Nigeria before you.
We praise and thank you for you are the source of all we have and are.
We are sorry for all the sins we have committed
and for the good deeds we have failed to do.
Lord, we are weighed down not only by uncertainties,
but also by moral, economic and political problems.
Listen to the cries of your people who confidently turn to you,
Our God of infinite goodness,
our strength in adversity,
our health in weakness,
our comfort in sorrow;
be merciful to us your people.
Spare this nation Nigeria from chaos, anarchy and doom.
Bless us with your kingdom of justice, love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.π

DeleteThis is not funny at all. So I’ve been trying to book for something at one institute like that. For the past two weeks, I have been coming and once I get here, tickets would have finished even after getting here 30mins before they open. So a friend advised me to play the baby card. So as early as 6, I wear cloth (baff ke), brush teeth and carry a sleeping Alex dump inside stroller (I’m sorry love). After walking about 9 mins to the the train station, I realised I had forgotten a vital thing, my wig and earring. Jesus Christ! I don’t even have a decent hair on my head, just one small calabar that I did by myself and packed into two buns and e don even old sef, plus my hair dey natural. But who cares, I had to get to the front of the queue.
ReplyDeleteGot to this institute at past 7 (they open at 9) and the line was even longer than the last time I came. My friend sha said I should just push myself and my stroller to the front of the queue. Found one line that said priority and I don dey number one for there. I will sha remain here. I hope Alex starts to cry when they start letting people in.
The job of a parent is to have their kids back, e no mean say the kid sef no fit scratch their back when needed π
Abii my sister. I also played the pregnancy card several times while I was pregnant

DeleteNa today? We all did o.
DeleteMe I will just fake cramps sef.
I really pity the next president of Nigeria. I won't even wish it upon my worst enemy. But if we don't try, how will we know if we can get I right?
ReplyDeleteIf you all notice, Atiku is just cruising. His body language shows that he wants to score a political point. He may as well continue in the line of his brother, if given the chance. I don't even know what to ask for for Nigeria. Sad
It is so sad. I pray God sends us a MOSES

DeleteGood morning Stella and bvs. It feels good to be able to comment without stressπ€Έ
ReplyDeleteGood morning Stella and Bvs,Thanks to you all for yesterday's chronicle like Stella said I should smile after reading her red pen, guess what Stella I have had that smile on my face after reading it and BVS comments .you people have lifted my spirit again,Ceaser please don't judge people based on your experience I for one have never and will never date a Married man,I work very hard that some guy comes close to me because they think i have the money which I spend on my family ,they come and still want me to spend on them and give sex when they have not even given anything. Sometimes i pay on dates and eat what i can afford,I hardly ask a man money reason some of my friends said the guys are taking advantage of that and seeing me as a big girl but I know if you ask they will ask sex .know we still have some good girls out there almost of my friends married a Virgin and are happy in their homes .
ReplyDeleteThen the dressing part all I meant is when people see me and how I dress they admire me i Thank God for giving me a nice body.I read all the comment and I appreciate .This blog will always be my BEST
I want to rant small, men doesn't know how to manage home stress, my baby was sick yesterday,I slept in the hospital plastic chair overnight though hubby was so worried. He went home with the older ones and came back early to the hospital and asked me to go home n rest, he didnt do any clean up at home, plates in the sink, no preparation of food for the ones at home, me that didnt sleep a wink, had to go home and meet work,I can't leave my kids without food neither can I leave the house dirty,I had to start cleaning up and to cook 3 types of food before heading back to the hospital, I ended up not resting and I'm back on chair. Please say a prayer for my baby,I want him back home today healthy
ReplyDeleteMay God perfect his healing ππ
DeleteWishing him quick recovery
Quick recovery to your baby.
DeleteMost men are adult babies, sorry about the stress and I hope your baby gets better
DeleteYour baby is healed in Jesus name, amen. Sorry about the stress.
DeleteGod Almighty heal your baby Amen. Divine health upon him and grace and strength upon you Amen. Just be strong
DeleteWomen!!!
DeleteYou people complain too much. When you were about getting married , you are fully aware that taking care of the home and kids are what you signed up for.
You also know that your husband is not the type that do house work before you agree to be his wife.
If you are tired, teach your kids how to help you with work or divorce your husband, leave the kids with him and go live a single and sleeping life since sleep is your utmost priority.
How many times have you ladies seen men complaining of providing or that their wife don't support financially?
May God heal your baby.
Your baby is healed IJN..Amen
DeleteGod bless you for all you do.
Anon, I’m not sure u understand even what u wrote. So because u are a man, if ur wife has to spend the night in the hospital with ur own sick child, u will not tidy up ur home and give ur other kids food because u are a man?
DeleteHow wicked can you be?
Pity the woman that ends up or has ended up with u
All she needs is support, a good man knows what to do. May
DeleteQuick healing to ur baby, my message is for the anonymous who wrote the comment Eka responded to.
DeleteAnon 10:58, you are a very wicked and heartless human being. So because a man pays bills he shouldn't help out with chores at home when his wife is at the hospital their sick child?
DeleteFor your mind now, you have said something sensible? May I and my unborn female children not encounter someone with a wicked mentality about marriage like you.
To the first anon, sorry about your sick child, sorry for not getting the rest you deserved. I pray God almighty heal your child. Take care of yourself and your baby
DeleteAnon 10:58, try and have human feelings even if it's a little, okay?
DeleteMadam, relax. Your child is healed in Jesus name. And he is going home with you today
Speedy recovery to your baby πΌ in Jesus name. More strength dear. We are super human.

DeleteAnon 10:58, how dare you blame a whole gender for your lack of empathy? Did this woman say she doesn’t contribute financially in her home? How many women are actually seated with hands folded waiting for their husbands to carry all the family finances? How many?
